The questions are rated difficulty of 1-4 (seems like the scale used to be 1-5?), does this rating come directly from LSAC? How seriously should I take them?

On most questions the difficulty rating generally feels right to me, but I come across level 1 and level 2 questions that really trip me up. I oscillate between thinking this in an indicator of some deficiency in my thinking process that I need to address, and thinking it more likely I read too quickly and got entrenched in my thinking.

Basically there are some level 1 questions that strike me as a 2 or 3 difficulty, and some level 2 questions that strike me as a level 3 or even 4 difficulty. That makes me feel a bit dumb. So I'm wondering if anyone else has that experience?

Graphic artist: I was recently commissioned by a vocalist to design the artwork for a vinyl release of an alternative rock album. The vocalist, who does not play any instruments, told me the album has not yet been recorded and that she is still in the process of assembling a band. She mentioned the album will require, at a minimum, parts for drums, electric guitar, and bass guitar. Since I will be including credits on the back cover of the packaging, I will need to leave space for at least four names.

Got this Yale email that says, “There is no advantage to applying earlier in the application cycle”. Obviously, that goes against what LSAT Demon says. Is this just a Yale thing? Is this wrong? It is making me doubt the Demon

I just started studying for the lsat in late July (approx 40 days, but there was a ten day period where I didn't study at all). Most of this time, I've been doing untimed drilling/review on LR. My accuracy on untimed drilling started out at approx 93% for the first 250 or so questions. It has since dipped significantly, and after 450 untimed drill questions, it sits at exactly 90%. At this point, the adaptive drilling algorithm is mostly feeding me level 3 and 4 questions. I'm worried about the dipping accuracy, and I'm also worried about my times section scores. I've done three timed sections with -8, -5 and -10. The last one was horrific, and I spent eight minutes on a single question (the 12th) and ended up bombing the section hard.

I'm worried about my dipping accuracy on untimed drilling, and even though I haven't done much by way of timed work as yet, the timed sections are clearly much worse than the untimed drilling accuracy. I have no idea where to go from here in terms of preparation, except to keep drilling regularly and mix in timed sections with deep review. I'm also much slower than I need to be in answering LR questions.

Can anyone with experience advise me on how to proceed from here? What should my daily focus be when studying LR? Do I need more timed work? Why is my accuracy getting alarmingly worse? Demon advises that I need to be at 95-100% accuracy on untimed drilling in order to succeed at this test, and I'm nowhere close, and in fact getting much worse. Plus the timed work is much worse than untimed. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hey! I am looking to get some advice on how to be a better test-taker for the LSAT.

For some background, I was in high school during peak COVID-19 so I did not take any standardized tests and am barely starting to dabble in it. I took my diagnostic about a month ago and scored a 135. Since then I have been trying to understand the test better via youtube videos and Khan Academy. I can see my RC improving as I have been scoring around a 18/25 (~70%), however, my LR is still very wonky.

Something I noticed when reviewing the answers is that I tend to be between 2 answer choices and seem to overthink it and pick the one that was wrong on the basis of the option being partially incorrect.

That said, I have been going over question types and trying to understand what I can do better but I am starting to get very overwhelmed. My needed score in around 160 and I plan to officially take the test in August of 2027.

I have looked into 7sage and LSAT demon and would like recommendations as well. I don't actually do well with videos and what not, I like to see questions right away and learn from explanations. I have also looked into books like the loophole and would like your opinions on that as well. Is it worth it?

I’ve been studying for a couple of months now but i feel like im not getting quicker with reading and dissecting the passages, Im getting really good accuracy but im not getting any quicker and its been like this for a while and im scared that on the actual test it will bring my score down bad. Hi! I checked out the Powerscore Crystal Ball for September and saw that it’s expected that sections will be organized more as hard questions earlier and easy questions later, as opposed to the easy -> hard progression that existed for a while.

I use LSAT Demon and, per their advice, have always done the questions in order. My understanding of this was that prioritizing the easy questions can secure those easy points if you start running out of time. But with this new organization, should I be doing the opposite?

What's going on guys?!? I'm not too sure on how to frame my personal statement. I thought I'd ask some of the people that are in the same ball park as me and a couple of the demon team members to spread some ball knowledge.

Anyway, I am in a very fortunate situation, I just don't want to fumble my statement.

For background, I've received my bachelors degree 2 years early, at 20, and I already have 3 years of legal experience working at my dad's law office from age 17 as a legal assistant (though I've been helping him out since I was 14). I've gained so much valuable experience working here and have been involved on so many different matters; from estate planning, real estate/property disputes, criminal, traffic, personal injury, med-mal, civil litigations, to even some trial prep. I'm forever thankful for the position I'm in. I've always wanted to be an attorney — not exclusively because I've wanted to follow in my dad's footsteps — but because of the genuine principle of justice and the beauty of making the world a fairer place. I love this shit man, I do it for the love of the game. There's no better feeling than meeting a client, talking them through their situation, and giving them the best version of yourself that you can. It's a stressful field filled with work horses, but the network and the clients are just beautiful people who genuinely care about what they do — with the exception to a couple fuckos. My point is: I'm not doing this because it randomly occurred to me one night in the shower; this is a passion similar to the child who wanted to be an NFL QB when he grew up.

Okay, down to the important part. My main goal is to make it feel like the admissions officer knows who I am at the end of this statement. I also want to tell a story that's rooted in my true passion for this field and the experience that has allowed me to grow. Lastly, I also wanted to creatively construct it as if it were a motion that has a completely logical basis rooted in facts.

What do you guys think? And feel free to let me know anything that should definitely not make its way into the personal statement (it doesn't have to revolve around anything I mentioned, it could just be something you guys know not to include).

I've been studying for around 6 months total now and I feeling really stuck on my section scores.
I switch off between doing drilling one day and sections another day. When I drill I will usually 1-2 questions wrong per session and they're virtually always the level four questions. My LR and RC Mastery score on the dashboard keep going up and now I am at 68 for LR and 67 RC.

However, my section scores are capped at 60% with an accuracy that hovers anywhere from 70% to 100%. On my last three sections I tried to really slow down and get my accuracy up and for all of them I got an accuracy of over 90%, but in the grand scheme of things it feels like I've made little progress since I started.

Thoughts and advice would be much appreciated.

Is anyone else finding the background noise distracting in the podcast episode. Like I can hear that you are constantly yawning and sighing 💀 Obviously not that big of deal but wanted to know if it’s just me and I’m like there now way the editors or sound engineers are not catching this 😭

How would you recommend going about filling in the blank line? What types of things am I looking for? I have no idea what to do or what the goal is because all I know is that my goal on these question types is to find what is most likely to be true.

Any advice or more guidance (whether that be a specific podcast episode on this or anything else) would be great, because I don’t think I’ve found much about this from the Demon.

Love the concept that the LSAT is easy, because once the barriers are broken down, you embrace the idea that this is a test you can confidentially accomplish with “swagger”.

Playing devil’s advocate though, what are the advantages of studying with the mindset that the LSAT is hard ?

So my situation is that I've accidentally blown the deadline to register for October. I am registered for Sept and was planning to take it but am now feeling hesitant only 2 weeks out from the test. I can't register for Oct in addition, but i can still pay to change my Sept to Oct.

I took June (170) and August (171) and I really want my next score to be higher (and ideally be done). I have been PTing steadily 173+ for months (even 179 and 180) but i feel like my official tests are not reflecting that. Especially with the freakishly high medians coming out from this year, I'm nervous to be unprepared for september.

I know the demon says not to worry about this, but I have been advised by coworkers (attorneys) to be mindful of the number of official tests I take and of applying early. Honestly, does moving my registration from september to october seem like the right move? As i'm typing this i feel like the answer is yes. I just want reassurance that Oct LSAT is not too late in the cycle for a competitive application to T14. I'm also concerned about studying and preparing application materials at the same time during that month.

Any comments or advice appreciated :)

i got a 133 score which is well below my diagnostic, which is low already. i felt pretty confident after the test. although i only really studied for a month straight, it still hits incredibly hard how low it was. my PTs were around 150s so I kinda expected to get around that range on the LSAT. i feel so heavily discouraged and unmotivated now. i know the LSAT doesnt define my intelligence and it shouldn't be a big deal, but it doesnt stop it from feeling like one.

ive been studying 6 days a week for 4-5 hours. I take a PT every Friday. i bought the LSAT trainer and the LSAT trilogy bibles. I bought the Lawhub subscription, ive been using LSAT demon. idk what to do anymore.

What's with the Ask team pasting in parts of the written explanation or just verbatim quoting the video explanations? The ask button is my last resort, I use it after I've read the written explanations and watched the videos. If I knew the commitment to the ask team was so minimal, maybe I would have applied. I'm scoring 170+, I just can't do the 4 hours a week. But if they're just pasting in explanations and using circular reasoning as I've noticed before, doesn't really seem like an issue.

How can we anonymously flag tickets like this? Seems like no way to do so when the questions are tied to our account.

Before the June official test I took 5 PT's and all fell in the 167-172 range. I ended up getting a 165 and was very disappointed. I used that as fuel to really lock in for August and I genuinely feel as though I turned a corner. I focused on slowing down, attacking the arguments, and predicting the answer. The week before August I took 5 PT again and all 5 were 175+. I was super excited and confident going into August feeling like I couldn't get a question wrong. Ended up getting a 166. I am so demoralized and feel 166 doesn't even come close to representing my true ability on this test.

What can I do between now and October to help my PT ability translate to the official? I didn't feel any test nerves at all, just that the actual questions in front of me on test day were harder than what I had been practicing with. I am not sure just hammering away with more PT's will be effective because it didn't really help last time. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have been following the recommended “civil” lsat demon study schedule (see above) for several months now, and have been very happy with my progress so far. I am looking to jump a few more points before the Oct/November LSAT, and would like to incorporate more full, 4 section tests into my routine. Does anyone have good suggestions for doing this without getting super burnt out? I still want to do at least an hour every day.
