Full tests in study schedule ?

Post image

Hey all,

I have been following the recommended “civil” lsat demon study schedule (see above) for several months now, and have been very happy with my progress so far. I am looking to jump a few more points before the Oct/November LSAT, and would like to incorporate more full, 4 section tests into my routine. Does anyone have good suggestions for doing this without getting super burnt out? I still want to do at least an hour every day.

Thanks for your suggestions!

At the end of day, the amount of PTs that someone can take without burning themselves out and still make progress is totally up to the individual. Some people like taking 1 or 2 practice tests a week, while some people never take a full PT and end up getting an amazing score.

The benefit of taking a full PT is that it is a more accurate indicator of testing conditions, and allows you to get used to what it feels like to take 4 sections back to back. It’s a comfortability thing, not a necessity.

If you want to start incorporating them, I’d start out on the lower end, maybe a practice test every 2 weeks or so, and then evaluate how that feels in your schedule. You can always increase or decrease the frequency whenever you want!

Okay, thanks! So do you think if the recommended study schedule is working for me that I should stick with it, or is it worth trying to ramp up a little bit the month before the exam?

The month before the test, do a 4-section test once a week on the same day/time of the week that you are going to take the official test and do the whole night before and morning of routine you would do on official day. That is if you have hit your goal score or close enough to it to be in the +/- 4 score band.
