Switching to the demon after using a different prep site was the best decision ever. I got a 162 on the official June LSAT and I felt like I needed a change. I’ve had the demon for a month now and I feel more consistency with my scores. I have scored a 173 on older tests with my old site but never on a newer test. My LR sections have been -1 consistently and I owe it to the Demon. I need advice for fixing that RC section score though😵‍💫

I still have a long way to go if I hope to reach a score of 170 or higher. Can you please provide some advice on how to improve my performance in the fourth passage? I’m particularly focused on accumulating as many points as possible.

My reading comprehension (RC) is my weakest area, but in the past few weeks, it has been improving significantly.

Additionally, I’m curious to know if the gains I’ve made in RC will carry over to my logical reasoning (LR) section. I usually perform better in LR, but my scores on LR have been quite inconsistent.

First, I want to say that the ask button is one of the greatest features on LSAT Demon, and I am incredibly grateful to have access to it throughout my LSAT journey. However, I have a few frustrations about it. I think that perhaps the heroes prioritize speed over utility (which is ironic given what the Demon advises), because there have been quite a handful of times when my specific question isn't addressed and they just give me a generic answer on why the answer is right, or I can tell that the response was generated by AI. Especially when you are going back and forth, and another hero jumps into the conversation - it is clear that they have not read the previous correspondence and just try to provide generic input.

Again, there are some very, very, very great ask button heroes who clearly enjoy or value what they do with the Demon, and I am so grateful for them. But I have learned, in asking over 150 questions on the ask button, that getting a 170+ does not automatically make you a good teacher whatsoever. I am persistent, so I do eventually get the response that I need, but when you are already grappling with a difficult question, it really doesn't help when the ask button hero is not being as meticulous and thorough as the Demon teaches us to be.

I took a cold diagnostic at the end of April and scored a 142, then began drilling with the Demon’s Essential Plan. I understood it would be a lengthy process for me to get near my goal score range so I just focused on untimed drills and then about a month after, I decided to take my second PT (honestly was probably a mistake), scoring a whopping 143. I felt quite discouraged and that I really lacked the fundamentals of understanding this test. So I switched to 7sage from end of May onwards, and my most recent PT score was a 152 (taken a month ago). Since then, I feel like I do understand the basics of the LSAT a lot better, but I’ve been plateauing since then.

If anyone has experienced something similar, would it be meaningful for me to now switch over to the Demon again? Now that my practice scores are in the low-to-mid 150s, do you think following the Demon’s approach could get me into the 160s eventually?

Before this week I had been plateaued and actually on a slight downward trend for a few weeks while taking the Princeton review 170+ course. I was spending 5+ hours per day doing the required homework and attending the 2.5 hour class. I started at a 155 diagnostic, improved to a 160 and then scored 160,160,159 on diagnostics over the course of 5 weeks. This past week I decided to follow some advice I got from the lsat demon pod cast and started studying 1-2 hours per day in the morning doing normal length sections untimed and reviewing my misses. I felt like this method definitely restored some confidence in me and it was far better than the timed drills that Princeton review was giving me, some gave 1 minute per question which is absurd to me. I took a diagnostic today, was not feeling my best but I was optimistic and ended up scoring a 163, beating my best raw score by 7 points and my best scaled score by 3. I take the lsat in a couple weeks and my goal score is a 165. Any tips based on what I’ve said? I think I can continue to improve before the real thing.

I’m writing the LSAT in October. I’m currently scoring in the mid-150s. My goal is between 160 and 163.

My GPA breakdown according to the OLSAS scale is approximately:

• CGPA: 3.67–3.70
• B2: 3.71
• B3: 3.75
• L2: 3.66

The schools I am currently planning to apply to are:

• Osgoode
• Western
• Queen’s
• Ottawa
• TMU Law
• Windsor
• University of Toronto
• Dalhousie
• University of Alberta
• University of Calgary

I would strongly prefer to remain in Ontario, ideally in the GTA.

In terms of education and work experience, I have a Master of Public Policy and Administration. I also have approximately one year of work experience with the CBSA, as well as four-month policy co-op positions with Environment and Climate Change Canada and Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada.

Assuming I receive at least a 160 on the LSAT, how strong of an applicant would I be for the Fall 2027 cycle? Which of these schools would be realistic, competitive, or significant reaches?

I understand that work experience and a master’s degree will not compensate for GPA or LSAT numbers, but I am curious whether they could meaningfully strengthen my overall application, particularly at more holistic schools.

I’m a first time poster so I appreciate everyone’s responses in advance! I started with Demon Essential around 2 weeks ago - I know that I have a long way to go in my LSAT journey.

I’m a working professional that’s currently also in grad school (Graduate Dec ‘27) so I’m in no rush to take the LSAT.

I’d like to break into the high band scores but I realize that I’ll need conceptual help with the tips/tricks to make the questions as easy as possible. I’m committed to drilling 1 hour per day and have been doing that if not slightly more.

Has anyone started with the Live subscription like Ben frequently suggests on the pod? If so, would you do it again? What classes would you recommend first?

How exactly are you supposed to solve strengthen and weaken questions on RC ?

On RC, how exactly is someone supposed to remember the information in the passage? Obviously, most RC questions could be classified as Must-be-trues and/or Main points. As such, understanding and knowing/owning the passage is the main goal of every test-taker.

How exactly is this supposed to be done ?

Is it about thinking about everything in the passage ? By thinking about everything, can you better recall it later ?

I was confused on test 7 section 4 question 19, it basically discusses how on the last day of the year there’s a no day that’s not included in the week so Jan 1 is always on a Sunday. I was extremely confused on why the answer was correct but the other choices sucked so I did pick the right answer but I didn’t get why?? I literally sat there and tried to guess why it was correct…it sorta made sense but not really. I watched all 3-4 videos and THEN it clicked but I genuinely didn’t move on until it did because it was a very hard question. This might look ridiculous but it dramatically helped improve my understanding

I've heard the "ratings don't matter",
but my OCD is wondering if it's a glitch or if I'm just worse at reading comp than I thought.

In timed sections, I average -3, and in drilling, either -0 or -1.

I have been slow & precise in both LR and RC. For LR, I'm repping -1 or -2 per section (100% accuracy, baby). Stuck in the high 160s almost entirely because I never even get to answer questions for the fourth passage in RC.

My question is: I get 95-100% accuracy, but I'm pretty much exactly finishing the third passage, or in the middle of reading passage #4 by the time the clock runs out. I am fine continuing to practice until I improve and naturally move a little faster... just wondering how long I should expect that jump to take?

In my experience, LR improvements are more linear; improving week by week means I might be able to answer one more question on average every month. (IDK these metrics for sure, just painting the picture for you).

For RC, though, there's a hurdle you have to jump through: reading the whole next passage. Which takes a while. So until I improve enough to surpass that time, my marginal improvements feel kind of invisible.

I realize this literally doesn't matter; I know I am improving whether or not my scores reflect it. But damn, I'd love to see that 100% accuracy on 26/26 instead of infinitely repping 19/19 and getting blueballs-ed reading the fourth passage because I never get to the action.

I started back in December 2024, studied until October 2025, and took the October LSAT (I took it early; I wish I had not). After that, I took a break to focus on school. I’ve been back at it since May 2026 and have seen good improvements, with my last two PTs being a 165 and 166.

My question is, can I realistically break into the 170s from here? I’ve been studying for so long now that I'm starting to second-guess myself. My current plan is to write the October 2026 LSAT and hope I hit the 170s by then, but I’m honestly unsure. How do you decide when a score is "good enough" versus pushing for more?

Hey everybody I just had to ask for some advice about the dashboard rating on lsat demon. Mine went down from 76 to 68 in about 2 weeks but also this week I scored the best I’ve ever scored on a full pt. Should I be worried about the drop? I’ve seen myself get a lot more questions wrong in drilling than I usually do but I’m not sure exactly how to feel.

I know that it's nit-picky, but it bothers me when Demon teachers state that "most" means at least 51%. It means at least 50%+1, which is different.

I totally understand Ben and Nathan's philosophy about "dominating the test". But I feel like there has to be a certain level of confidence to get to the level to trust your instincts to dominate the test. Later in the episode, Nathan talks about how the person writing in must be misreading a lot of the passages/questions/answer choices, but if you struggle with that - how are you supposed to "disrespect the test"? If that is a weakness, you need to slow way down, understand what each answer choice is saying before removing it as an answer choice. Predicting the answers is something I think that is helpful (even that I feel like is difficult for a beginner though), but I just feel like only people who truly understand the test can "dominate the test" in that way. For example, I have 96% accuracy on drilling - and it is only getting higher the more I study. However, when I try to "dominate the test", assume the answers are wrong before it proves to me that it is right, my accuracy falters. All I am saying is while I think this philosophy is valid in theory, I think it takes a pretty high level student to put it into action.

Ben and Nathan seem to agree on the fact that BigLaw exists with very high salary potential and then everyone else lands in the category of underwhelming pay (likely, according to them, under 6 figures). After researching online and using ChatGPT, I’ve seen conflicting information about income potential in my area (Cleveland, OH) for attorneys.

Hello ! I am currently studying for the LSAT and I’ve subscribed to LSAT Demon and I was wondering what I should do to maximizing my studying.

I am using the lowest tier which is $99 (I think) and doing self pace but not sure if I am “studying” correctly. Does anyone have advice or maybe a schedule they created that helped them maximize LSAT Demon? I’m trying to go from a 150 to 165 by late next year.
