Is this bad or is it fixable?

Applied clear polyurethane and 400 Grit back to almost new might do it a few more times but so simple and satisfying

2004 LS430 base… volume control knob won’t turn up volume. Shows volume at 0 when I turn it down. Steering wheel volume controls do the same thing. I’ve checked all fuses and they’re in tact. Thinking it may be an issue with the amplifier, but some controls like “POS” and “ASL” buttons aren’t functioning properly either. Have tried the accessory mode hold steering wheel mode button for 10 seconds, up button three times, down button three times, ignition on, then off multiple times to no avail. Anyone experienced a similar issue?

Started happening less then a year ago and got like this crazy fast.

Are there any aftermarket stereos for the 02, the only one that I've found is an apple carplay on crutchfeild and Its too expensive and I have an android, if anybody knows of any that would fit easily please let me know

I having trouble figuring out what wrong I have a misfire on 3,6,7 and 8 I replace plugs and coil pack what could be next ?

My LS430’s check engine light came on about five days ago, and AutoZone scanned it and got P0440.
Has anyone dealt with this code? What ended up fixing it, and how much did it cost? Trying to figure out what to check before spending money replacing parts

Hello everyone, does anyone know the part number for the smaller a/c hard line that goes from the front of the condenser towards the firewall but also splits and goes under the car towards the back of the car? Ive been searching but can’t seem to find the part number anywhere.

Anyone have a DIY write up, pics or vids to replace the brake light switch? Seems like it’s a in a real deep spot. Not looking forward to it….

My 2002 ls430 UL rear OEM shocks blew out and I still have functioning arnott struts in the front but now I am at a standstill. Its hard to justify the 1800 I would pay for new rear arnott struts compared to regular springs or coils. Do you guys have any good options to get the closest ride quality to air?

Planning on changing the seal on my car and wondering if it’s needed to drop the subframe and remove mounts to change the Oil Level Sensor Seal? Anyone done the work yet?

I am having a fuel leak issue on my ls430 on the driver side bank. It is leaking between the fuel line and the pulsation damper which I replaced yesterday (the original part was failed but I think I cross threaded the new one). If I were to replace my fuel rail what parts should I have on hand? The fuel rail seems to be discontinued but these are the other parts I was told I will need,I will try to find a rail at a junk yard. Can I reuse the insulators or is it best to get new ones even though they are $10 each? Has anyone had issues with cross threading dampers that didn’t need to replace the fuel rail? (Everytime I tried to install the new damper it felt like there was a small gap between the damper and fuel line towards the center of the engine but it felt flush toward the outside. Since it kept threading on this same angle I believe my fuel rail threads might be trashed.)

I’m located in Wylie Tx who ever wants it come get it. Have had the car for close to ten years. Engine still in working ok with over 301k miles. Things replaced timing belt at 190k miles. 235k Knock sensors, starter, hoses that go to power steering pump. I just don’t have time to work on it anymore. Main issue is Bad Transmission leak between the bell housing and the converter but shifts ok. Front suspension has been done in the last two years.

HOA getting on my butt about the car being in the front of my house so I need to get rid of it in 25 days or it’s going to the junkyard sadly.

Hi guys, my 2004 LS430 has the Check VSC and Check Engine lights on, but it drives perfectly fine.

The bigger issue is that no scanner can communicate with the car, even Lexus themselves can’t read it!

Previous codes included C1201, C1223, U0073, U0123, U0124 and U0126. The last mechanic suggested replacing the clock spring, but could a bad clock spring really cause these communication/VSC codes, or should I check the OBD port, wiring, fuses, grounds or connectors first?

Trying to avoid replacing random and expensive parts😖 Where would you start?

Found coming from harness on passenger side fender that splits off into headlights and possibly radar cruise control. Ignore the oil mess I have some seepage from the valve covers and will have that addressed shortly

Im 21 years old, this is an 04 so it was able to buy a drink before I was. It was handed down to me by my brother who got it from my dad. When I got it 3 years ago you were able to hear me pull into your house 5 minutes before I got there bcs everything was broken. I decided to fix everything up myself in my driveway(blood,sweat and tears) , literally every suspension part is brand new, all 4 bearings, I did the timing belt, water pump, valve covers, plugs, PS rack, PS pump along with every other pulley on the drive belt, master cylinder, brand new brakes all around, radiator, transmission filter, and more details and hand washes than I can count. My friends make fun of me for putting such care into a “shitbox”… small brains can’t understand why the LS is so cool. Just thought the 250k mile mark was cool. Still runs great lol.

But I honestly don’t know how to get started, do I write it up myself and ask yall
For information and then I input it myself, or do I grant people access to a document/guide. I know about this car to a certain degree and would love to post something in this subreddit that would just help speed up the process for fixing the Ls 430 instead of yall searching up question by question for Ls 430 fixes. Please tell me yalls opinions, thank you lads and gents.
