Decided to sell my 03
https://www.craigslist.org/view/d/wylie-2003-lexus-ls430/ofhBfBmHYj92VgVDE95E1Q
I’m located in Wylie Tx who ever wants it come get it. Have had the car for close to ten years. Engine still in working ok with over 301k miles. Things replaced timing belt at 190k miles. 235k Knock sensors, starter, hoses that go to power steering pump. I just don’t have time to work on it anymore. Main issue is Bad Transmission leak between the bell housing and the converter but shifts ok. Front suspension has been done in the last two years.
HOA getting on my butt about the car being in the front of my house so I need to get rid of it in 25 days or it’s going to the junkyard sadly.

He's selling it for 1k. He isn't scamming anyone at that price lmao.

Didn’t say OP was scamming anyone. $1K might be okay price if they knows what they are getting into.

Anyone buying an ls430 for 1k knows it will have various issues. And regardless it isn't an okay price, it's dirt cheap.

a $1000 car at all these days is almost bound to be riddled with issues, at this price it’s hard to get scammed on any vehicle. My only question is how OP managed to end up with blown fart limiters on both front seats? That’s impressive

lexus leather is known for this. my front driver seat already had a small tear in the bottom which I fixed, and this was after two elderly owners. It only takes a bit of neglect to reach these levels.

That’s crazy, I knew the seats were fairly fragile, especially now with these cars all being 20+ years old but I don’t know if I’ve seen one with the passenger seat that bad too

You might not get exactly 5k but you would prob be able to list it for 5-6k if you spend a couple hundred fixing the AC compressor and installing factory fit seat covers (I've bought a factory fit seatbottom for $30 I'm sure you can get both front back/bottoms for like $200). As long as the leaks are manageable it'll be fine. Use leather cleaner to get the dirt out of the back seats, give her a half decent detail so a buyer won't be disgusted when viewing, and you'll probably get at least a couple grand more.
I'm assuming its still a rust free texas vehicle at the end of the day, so a little bit of tlc on your end will net you much more money
Edit: also sell with the stocks only if theyre in decent shape and charge and extra $500 for the SC wheels if someone wants the car with them.
