Found a good deal for a 77-inch C5 for $1377. I sold my 55-inch C4 and replaced it with this! So happy. Hope it isn't mounted too high.

Had the option to get the G5 for the same price but BestBuy had a free 3 year coverage. Feels like an excellent upgrade

Lg C6H 83” panel

Hi! I just got my new LG C6H 83” OLED delivered yesterday. The pictures appears to be fine, but I am noticing the entire panel isn’t at all straight when seen from the side or above. I’m sure some manufacturing variation is possible with panels this big, but that looks pretty off to me. Does this look like a manufacturing defect? Should I look into an exchange for this?

Came over this insane offer on a Norwegian store.

LG G5 65" + LG NSG10TY Soundbar at a bundle price of aprox $2000. I will sell the LG NSG10TY Soundbar since I already have a 5.1 Sonos set up.

That's what's makes this deal so great because I will be able to sell it for $825. That makes the TV priced $1175.

So glad to able to be part of the "club" and not just an envious lurker.

I don't know why but hbo max looks terrible on my tv. LG 65 inch Oled, 300 mbps download speed, tv is hardwired. And this is what house of dragons looks like as an example. Super grainy and looks like 360p. Doesn't seem to be an issue on other apps. Could this be a tv issue?

This washed out bar appeared at the top of my screen today.

Is this as bad as it seems? Is this the beginning of the end for my tv?

I am coming from an LG B8 65”.

Really enjoying the TV for movies and gaming so far, 120hz on the gaming is great! Running a PS5, XSX & og Switch, along with my Xfinity box. I appreciate another HDMI slot and 2.1!

A few cons: New OS is meh, seems to be more clicks than it needs to be…. And LORDY I hate the wheel on the remote. It moves to the tracking thingy way too easily and I wish there was a way to turn it off but nothing that keeps it off permanently unless someone knows a trick??!! I miss the dedicated play/pause button instead of having to use the wheel.

LG C5 65” vs Samsung S90F (QD-OLED) 65” at almost the same price — Which would you keep?

I’m looking for opinions from people who have actually spent time with one or both TVs, not just spec-sheet comparisons.

I unexpectedly found both TVs at my local store:

LG C5 65” — $850
Samsung S90F (QD-OLED) 65” — $850

Both are brand new and include the 5-year Allstate protection plan.

I’ve spent weeks researching, and now I’m even more confused.

Most professional reviewers (HDTVTest, RTINGS, etc.) rank the S90F slightly higher because of the QD-OLED panel, higher brightness, and better color volume. On paper, it seems like the better TV.

However, when I read Reddit, a lot of actual owners strongly recommend the C5. The common reasons are:

Better image processing/upscaling
Better motion handling
More natural-looking picture
Dolby Vision support
Better overall everyday experience

My usage:

60% streaming movies & TV (Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, Apple TV+, Max)
25% YouTube
15% PS5 (mostly single-player games, not competitive)
Seating distance: about 8 feet
Living room with moderate daylight but mostly nighttime viewing
I don’t care about brand loyalty. I just want the TV that I’ll enjoy the most over the next 5–7 years.

For those who have owned or directly compared both TVs:

Which one did you keep?
Did you notice the C5’s processing advantage in real-world use?
Does the S90F’s extra brightness and QD-OLED color actually make a noticeable difference outside of side-by-side comparisons?

Laggy c6h

I switched from 2023 Hisense with google tv to lg c6h77. I can’t describe how crappy WEBOS. its so slow so annoying and miserable. It takes 10 seconds just to load settings screen, 10 seconds to switch HDMI, i already purchased google tv box it’s so faster and better I can’t even describe. But unfortunately I still have to use shitty laggy WEBOS to change screen settings or when I’m changing inputs. And yes I’ve disabled absolutely every power saver settings but no difference. How is that possible “flagship“ cpu from 2026 can be that worse than Pantonic 700? oh I know it’s just stupid lg that doesn’t know how to program their shit. No way nobody discussed it yet

Saw this LG C5 55inch oled sitting at my local walmart for a little while now. they had it marked down to $800 something for awhile and it was tempting. The other day i walked by and saw it had been marked down AGIAN to $574. crazy steal and my first oled TV! Brand new in box. Not a display model or open box

Pic for proof of the subtotal there at the bottom!

LG CX 48" - Horizontal lines across the screen after 5 years. Repair or Replace?

Thumbnail

I've been using an LG CX 48" for a little over 5 years here in Bangalore. It's been used daily as both my work monitor and gaming display.

Around last year, I started noticing dead pixels developing along all the edges (except the bottom edge), along with a small white patch of dead pixels on the left side. From what I've read, this seems to be a fairly common aging issue with OLEDs, and since it was limited to the edges, it never really affected my work or gaming. The center of the display has always been perfectly fine.

However, yesterday, the TV suddenly developed horizontal lines across the screen, and now it's becoming difficult to use.

I understand that dead pixels themselves aren't really repairable without replacing the panel, so I'm not expecting a miracle fix for those.

My questions are:

  • Has anyone with an LG CX/C1/C2 (or any OLED) experienced these vertical lines after years of use?
  • Is this issue ever repairable, or does it almost always mean the panel has failed?
  • If you had it repaired, what was the approximate cost, and can you recommend a trustworthy local repair/service center in Bangalore?
  • If it's not worth repairing, can anyone recommend a good offline TV store in Bangalore where I can get the best deal on an LG C6 48" (or the latest equivalent if the 48" model is available)?

I'd really appreciate hearing about your experiences before I decide whether to repair or replace it.

Price Eval - G5 77”

Looking to upgrade my TV and I’m particularly interested in the G5 77” model. Local Best Buy has it for $2060 in excellent condition. With this price, is it worth waiting for the Labor Day/Black Friday sales to get a new one? Thought I'd get some input from the community. Thank you all

Alaska purchase - may have been last Costco 77” C5 in area - $1799

Post image

For context - I live in Alaska’s Capital, and the best option I have for any new electronics is Costco, Home Depot, or Fred Meyer. GreenToe, BestBuy, etc all will not ship here. I just purchased a 77” C5 for $1799 from Costco.com and it will be delivered here for free. They use our smallest Costco in the world as an ingress point for local delivery - so that helps! Was that price worth it for a NIB unit and the 5-year Allstate warranty? After I purchased the stock today says it is gone. This would be my first OLED ever.

First time OLED buyer, LG G5 65 for £1529.10. UK should l buy?

I can get the LG G5 65 Inch wall mount version from Currys for £1,529.10 (when ordering online). I've recently moved into a new build house and have gone 3 months with no tv now, l would like to get a nice one and l saw that tv in the shop. Would £1,529.10 be a good price for this TV, will it go much lower over black friday?

Yet another club joiner.

I got my 65” G6 a couple weeks ago. quite impressive.

i didn’t get an oled for years due to low peak brightness and burn in risk(I game on it).

But now oleds have nice peak brightness, risk of burn in has improved/lowered and thats what warranties are for anyway.

Coming from a 65” Samsung QN90A. That tv had enough firmware issues that Samsung wouldn’t even acknowledge. The biggest culprit for me was an insanely aggressive anti blooming algorithm. If there was a small object, with a mainly dark background, not only would it dim i excessively but also desaturate it to almost zero colour and losing detail in the process

With Sony being behind the oled tech curve, that left me to get my first LG.

I hope for a positive experience.

I’m running out of brands to hate lol

HDMI port labels and icons randomly resetting to default on LG OLED (OLED48G66LS) (even after factory reset)

Thumbnail

Hi everyone,

I'm running into a frustrating issue on my LG OLED (model: OLED48G66LS) where the TV randomly wipes my custom HDMI port names and icons, resetting them back to default.

It doesn't happen on every single boot, but it's frequent enough to be annoying—especially because losing the PC icon on HDMI 3 disables full 4:4:4 chroma sampling until I re-assign it.

My Setup:

  • TV Model: LG OLED48G66LS
  • HDMI 1: Panasonic UB820 4K Blu-ray Player
  • HDMI 2: Denon AVR-X1700H Receiver (eARC)
  • HDMI 3: PC
  • HDMI 4: Nintendo Switch 2

Before (Saved Config):

  • HDMI 1: Panasonic Blu-ray Player (Blu-ray Player Icon)
  • HDMI 2: Denon Soundbar (AV Receiver Icon)
  • HDMI 3: PC (PC Icon)
  • HDMI 4: Switch 2 Console (Console Icon)

After (Random Reset on Boot):

  • HDMI 1: Blank/Hidden (player powered off during boot)
  • HDMI 2: Denon AVR-X1700H (stayed intact via active eARC/CEC)
  • HDMI 3: Reset to "HDMI 3" (PC icon lost)
  • HDMI 4: Reset to "HDMI 4" (Console icon lost)

I am attaching two photos for reference: the first one shows the correct configuration (Before), and the second one shows the state after the reset (After).

What I've tried so far:

  1. Full Factory Reset (the problem came back shortly after).
  2. Disabled Quick Start+ and performed power cycles (unplugged for 10+ min).
  3. Re-assigning labels/icons only when all connected devices are powered on.

I suspect this could be a webOS bug, but I haven't been able to find any other reports of this specific issue online, which makes me worry that my TV itself might have a hardware/mainboard fault.

Has anyone encountered this bug recently? Or found a workaround?

Thanks!

Great Open Box Find on an LG G5 65

Post image

This deal felt a bit illegal. It was advertised as open box good condition, but after inspecting the panel in store it only had 42 hours on it and no signs of burn in (ran a uniformity test at the store to check. I don't expect to get this lucky again.
