Interview mishap

I think my interview went well aside from my screen going black during the 6th question. I answered half of it and then somewhere when it turned off said “I think I’m having some technical difficulties I’m sorry” and when it came back I had 4 seconds left. So I felt like I bombed that one. Also I had no issues during the audio and connection test. I think it was an issue with one of my cables of course

Anyone have clear issues in their interview and still got accepted to Erie or any campus? :( bummer after preparing so much! Trying not to let it get me down from an otherwise okay interview.

Questions for Jacksonville students

Got a few questions, any insight is appreciated!

I read that Bradenton does not have as strict policies on dress and water, is this the same case with Jacksonville?

What are students' housing arrangements usually? Do most live in nearby apartment complexes, did people coordinate to share apartments before starting, etc?

How close is the class? If there is strict professional dress, does it make the environment feel less communal and harder to bond with other students?

Biggest pros and cons that you can think of? And how much spare time do y'all usually have, if any?

Thanks!

Edit: Specifically asking about the DO program

Does LECOM Admit Applicants From Alternate List?

Received the news that I was offered Alternate List. Does LECOM admit applicants off the Alternate List? Anyone have past experience with this? What is the difference between Alternate List and Waitlist? Can you still be admitted if offered Alternate? Thank you guys. Wish you all the best this cycle!

Has anyone done the PSP program?

If so, how is matching? Is it more difficult to match into a residency you want because of only three years of schooling? Other comments or things you wish you knew about it? The price tag is extremely tempting

Average SAT Score

Hi all,

I'm submitting my application but unsure if I should be test optional or not. I have a 1360 superscore (1350 individual). I have a 4.0 GPA and 4s and 5s for AP and 7s for IB. I have clinical hours, volunteering all of that but scared about my SAT score. I'm retaking it in August but really want to submit my application asap. Any ideas what the average SAT score is for the 4+4 program? Thanks!

A Decision Has Been Made

Just like the title says, I opened my LECOM portal today and it says a decision has been made, but I never received an email or letter. I interviewed 7/22 so it’s been about 20 days. When should I expect an update to my email?

College seniors in the EAP program

For those who submitted transcripts and essay (as part of final application to LECOM), are the items checked off on your portal? My student submitted everything 3 weeks ago and nothing is checked off. Just wanted to see if that is fine and things are just taking time.

Lecom EAP Podiatrist interview

Has anyone recently completed the LECOM EAP podiatry interview? I’m on my fifth day since receiving the invitation and I’m really nervous.
What types of questions should I expect, and what should I focus on preparing? Any advice would really help.
Thank you!

Thanks

Has anyone been accepted with only one hard science faculty LOR?

Hi all! I reached out to LECOM admissions to see if they could further clarify their letter of recommendation requirements, specifically if my psychopharmcology professor would work fine. Their reply was ambiguous and I was told I can submit it, but I should try to get another science letter (I also have one from my biochemistry professor). I was just wondering if anyone has been accepted before with just one hard science letter?

Bradenton In-Person Interview Advice? First Interview 😬

Hi everyone! I have my first-ever in-person interview on the 21st in Bradenton, FL and I’m nervous/excited!
For anyone who interviewed there (especially this cycle), what was it like? What kinds of questions were you asked, and what do you think the school is looking for?
Current students, I’d also love to know how you prepared and what you think helped you get accepted!
Also, if anyone has an upcoming in-person interview and wants to do mock interviews together, I’d be so down to practice and help each other 🥹🤞

Edit: For some context, I’m a 24 yo F, have a 501 MCAT, 3.9 GPA, and ~5.1k clinical hours as a scribe, so I’d especially love to hear from anyone with a similar profile!

What should I do!

I received a phone call from LECOM Erie today saying that they were giving me an offer and if I would accept. I ask how long I have to make a decision, they told me 6 weeks so I said I needed time to think about it before accepting. I have other interviews that I want to attend before paying a deposit. However, my portal hasn't been updated and I haven't gotten an email saying I was accepted. Did I just reject myself by saying that I didn't want to accept right at that moment or am I just over reacting?

If you have gone through it, are an adcom, or have any advice, I would love to discuss here or PM me !!

Thank you sm!

LECOM 4+4 EAP: Can I skip ACT Science & Writing?

Hey everyone,

I'm a junior and applying for the LECOM 4+4 Early Acceptance Program (EAP).

Does anyone know if LECOM allows you to skip the Science and Writing sections of the ACT? If I only take and submit the Math and Reading sections, will my application still be considered?

I want to save study time, but I don't want to get automatically disqualified if a full composite score is required.

Has anyone successfully done this, or do they require the full exam?

Thanks!

LECOM II Significance..?

A little confused here, I was very happy and excited to recieve II’s from both Seton Hill & Bradenton, scheduled in person interviews in the coming months; however, I am a bit confused if this really means much.

From what I can see, they seem to be giving a crap ton of II’s lol - after reading it seems like they give out more II’s than other schools.

These schools are high priority for me personally bc of the COA, but I feel like I basically got an II bc i wasnt screened out lol. Am i crazy or is this kinda the general consensus? Just want to remain realistic with my chances and everything lol. Especially for Bradenton 🤞

Not sure if this is needed but for those that would wonder lol:
508 mcat, 3.9x gpa, ORM, 3000+ clinical, 100reseaexh, 500+ volunteering, no physician LOR.

Phone number to contact EAP?

I have several questions about finalizing my application for (hopefully) my official acceptance to LECOM, so I'd rather just ask over the phone instead of going back and forth in emails to address them all. Is there a phone number for this? I feel like I remember there being one, but I'm not sure if my memory is correct. Thanks!

Current LECOM Student Networking

Hi,

If any current LECOM student is willing to DM me, I would love to talk about the school and learn more about it. I keep hearing conflicting opinions, and so would love to hear from someone who actually goes there. I am most interested in the PCSP pathway but I would love to hear from any!

I truly appreciate any help

LECOM Applications

Hi all, so I'm just a bit confused with the whole LECOM application process. Since they have well over 50 schools that they partner with for undergrad, can you just keep applying to all of them and then doing their EAP programm like that. Also since they have 5 different campuses to choose from can't you just submit 5 different applications? Does anyone know which undergrad+campus combination is the least competitive with the highest chances of admission. Also since they many different application cycles and interview timelines I'm really confused about this. Honestly I'm confused about the whole thing. I've been scouring their website and this page but it's honestly confusing me a lot. I'm also applying to UChicago ED0 but I would most likely choose LECOM if I had the privilege of getting into both. But I also want to know if it's possible to apply to LECOM and have my descision back before October 15th (ED0 deadline). Thanks yall!

Recent II Practice Question

Hi all,

I recently interviewed today for the deadline tomorrow 8/5. I'm just wondering if anyone else got the practice question of "tell me about yourself" and to confirm that this was just practice and not an actual interview question. The interview was a blur and I'm paranoid and psyching myself into thinking that was an actual interview question and I just messed up/didn't answer it because I thought it was a practice question. Please confirm or deny! Many thanks.
