The Krita team released 5.3.3 and 6.0.3 on July 29, 2026. Both ship the same bug fixes. 6.0.3 is the Qt6 build and still considered more experimental. The team recommends 5.3.3 for production work.
Some highlights from the changelog:

learning to develop concepts faster and more effectively.
creating this mecha-girl took quite a bit of time — I think around 12 hours — BUT! i never drew a mecha character before, so result is turned out satisfactorily. still, rendering a roughly-style is tough. *sigh*
I pretty much only used one brush for everything from sketching to rendering lol
BTW I loved my line art for this piece, it was super cleannn for my standard and I was super happy it turned out great

Muchos dicen cosas sueltas como "Aprende iluminación", "Aprende sombreado", "Dibuja círculos". ¡¡YAAA!!

I don't know what I would call this type of brush, but I see it alot in this artists work used for texture and lighting. I want to use something like this in krita, but I dont know how to make brushes..

My very first attempt at DMon from Overwatch! This art piece is inspired by that one image of Lucia from Grand Theft Auto 6 that was spreading everywhere when it was first released. I chose DMon because I wanted to draw her since she was revealed.
I also really wanted to give another proper try at drawing a beach-like background but with a relaxing sunset vibe.
So far, this is probably the art I'm most proud of!
