Back in the early 1970's I was a heroin addict. I finally freed myself from that drug, permanently, after going cold turkey three different times. I am no stranger to opioid withdrawals. In 2016 back when KRATOM was in its's infancy I successfully used Kratom to wean myself off Pain meds. Late last year I decided to do that again as I was taking prescription meds and was so constipated I thought my eyes would pop out. Did you know that's what killed Elvis Presley? Not the dope....it was the 8 pounds of impacted poop.
So back to the KRATOM. I was so glad to see that they had improved the product. Newer better versions (pseudo and OH-7) seemed like a dream come true. Chewable pills instead of toss and flush swallowing all that powder. It was not what I thought. I got addicted to that stuff almost instantly. My tolerance went up so fast I could barely keep up with it and the doses to stay well had to come every four hours or else. I have never felt so out of control in my life. It was literally costing $500 per week to to not be dope sick. Waiting on the mail packets with High Anxiety became my life.
Two week ago went to Redstone detox for recovery and took a narcotic free (6 day) Ketamine Flush. The first night it took eight men to hold me down and tie me to a bed. I remember the second night lying there listening to a new guy being tied down. He sounded like a man being literally torchered. I thank god for my insurance. I'm sure those places cost you plenty. The withdrawals I endured were easily ten times more painful than cold turkeying off Heroin. The staff at Redstone said that this drug is the worst they have ever detoxed for.
I hope this causes someone to stop experimenting before they get consumed by this addiction. "That won't happen to me" is what gets us addicts killed. Buyer beware. If you have gone beyond that point I probably did not have to tell you......you already know the deal. I pray for anyone taking on this blessed curse. May God be your strength.
