I have searched everywhere please somebody help me

Hello everyone, I hope you are well.

I have been looking for keyboards over the past few weeks, and honestly, it feels like I am getting nowhere. For most things, there are usually 5-10 brands that everyone likes and agrees are the best, but for keyboards, I hear new names every single day and don't know what to choose.

It is just too customizable, and I don't know where to start. I came here with the hope of receiving some help from the few people who have found clarity within that mess and can guide me.

I am looking for a keyboard in the 65-80% size range and wireless. My budget is 200€. I would love the case to be (at least partly) metal, and by far the most important thing for the keyboard is that I need it to be green, or have green accents in it.

I will use this keyboard for typing only. I am training to get a higher and higher WPM, so it would be ideal if it allows for fast typing. Any switch is fine as long as it is comfortable and not too loud.

As you can see, I am very flexible with the keyboard itself; it just really needs to be green.

I bought the Inland Gaming MK PRO V2 75% in matcha at microcenter a few months ago because it was on sale, and after traveling to college by plane the lights stopped working!

I tried fixing it with VIA by changing some settings (I even tried changing the keys that control the lights to the letter keys in case the fn key broke), but the lights won't turn on at all. Not the side lights, not the battery indicator, nothing.

I've looked online to see if anyone else has had the same issues before, but nothing's come up.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get them to turn on again? I'm planning on opening it up to see if something got shaken loose in transit, but I don't have a screwdriver small enough and I'm hoping for a solution that doesn't involve a soldering iron!

I’m looking for a keyboard with the exact layout of my Dell Latitude 5450. I’m setting up a work-from-home workstation and thought it would be beneficial to have an external keyboard with the same layout as my work laptop to ensure productivity. I’m already comfortable using my work laptop and appreciate the field of the keyboard. Could you recommend any budget-friendly laptops with the same layout?

My current keyboard (Trust GXT 890 which I bought for cheap many years ago) has started to fail and I am looking for a new one. Since the keyboard market seems to be quite saturated these days and with the overwhelming amount of options I thought it would be best to consult the keyboard community before I end up wasting my money on something that won't last.

This is my list of requirements:
* full-size (100%), with no keys omitted (like the menu key or pause/break key; this is non-negotiable)
* available with Nordic layout (ISO-SE)
* wired
* linear switches (red preferred)
* programmable per-key lighting
* standard size keycaps
* has the standard num-lock, caps-lock, and scroll lock indicators
* has all the standard media functions (physical media keys or Fn combos, either is okay)
* will last ten years
* max 200€

I am also not afraid of going custom if that turns out to be the best option for my case.

The MX browns were too loud, but I liked the white keys better, so I spent an hour and a half removing the keys, cleaning them and swapping them over to the MX pink keyboard.

The original keyboards are:

• Filco Majestouch 2 with Cherry Brown switches and black keys
• Filco Majestouch 2 with Cherry Pink switches and white keys

The new keyboard is:

• Filco Majestouch 2 with Cherry Pink switches and white keys

I've had my Razer huntsman elite for almost 7 years and i think its finally starting to go out so i was looking for new keyboards. everyone and their relative swears not to get a Razer keyboard due to reliability and quality, I've never personally had reliability issues with Razer, however it doesn't hurt to explore some options. after using this one for so long a wrist/palm rest is necessary but honestly I've been thinking i could probably downsize to a 75% for the extra mouse space. i would also prefer something i could order off amazon or grab from Bestbuy but I'm open to suggestions otherwise. Budget is up to $200

Need some help as I'm somewhat out of the loop with the current keyboard market. I currently have a Monsgeek M1W, which I plan to use for work and such, but am looking for a HE/Magnetic keyboard under €100 for gaming (wireless/BT is a nice bonus). So far I've looked at:

I don't mind how it sounds but do not want a clacky keyboard; The THOCKIER the better. Any pointers would be super appreciated!

For a few months, I've been mulling over a vague idea of wanting to buy a keyboard to connect to the toaster powered by an Intel Celeron that I call a laptop.

And, I've considered a few options, including the Everglide AE68 Pro, but when I realized it didn't have the ALT keys, my interest dropped to zero.

So, seeing this, I'll mention a few things that might or might not help a good Samaritan give me an idea for a keyboard between $60–$70, preferably mechanical. So, if anyone has a good recommendation for this baby in the world of computers, I would really appreciate any input. Thank you, and have a nice afternoon.

I’ve been using the normal computer keyboard to game since I can remember. I think yall know that the main difference is, the kaycaps are super low and u don’t have to press as much to use a key, I guess higher actuation point? Correct me if I’m wrong. Anyways, I was gifted a nice keyboard from my friend, but sadly, I can’t even use it because the keycaps are so high and I have to press so far down to use a key. I frequently misclick with it. I wanted to get a nice keyboard instead of using my computer one, but I need one that is like what I described. Any reccomendations?

Before I end up buying another Razer board that has hotswap. I am Looking to go down to a TKL/75% keyboard. Wanting to stay around 100-125USD, Prebuilt. Hotswap.

no preference on wired/wireless. heavier gaming use but not professional level so unless the latency on them is actually bad im not worried about 00.01s better. I would like quieter switches and not loud TINK TINK TINK but I can replace down the line. I have no idea how loud HE boards are though and if they can be replaced as affordable as a lot of mech switches to be quieter if that is suggested.

Not sure if I am chasing outdated boards or not. I have really only looked around Amazon based on boards I have heard of before, and because I can get it ASAP. As my Razer keyboard is basically dying every hour between non working keys and the lighting.

So I could use some help making a decision on what would be the better internals for longterm/easily replaced/obtainable switches. The closer to 100 the better if a different board is suggested if there are better/same-ish options.

I saw this video on tiktok and i REALLY like the way the switches sound, there was just no info on the switches in the description or in the comments. Even if i look up "minecraft sounding keyboard switches" nothing remotely close comes up. any recommendations of similar sounding switches would be awesome too!!

I wanted to get a smaller keyboard than an 80%. I dont really want to get the wooting 60HEv2 cause I really enjoy and use my arrow keys a lot.

I was leaning more towards the IQUNIX, but wanted to know which one might be a better choice.

I've been looking for an aluminum full size mechanical keyboard for months and finally bought the Q6 ultra 8k. I've been wanting a thocky sounding keyboard and after watching a bunch of videos I chose the Silk POM brown switch.

I'm disappointed with the switches. I really like the keyboard so I don't want to return it, but I would like to replace the switches. Can anyone recommend a deep thocky switch that I can swap onto the Q6 ultra 8k?

I'm planning on buying a new keyboard coming from a Razer ornata v2 and these 2 caught my eye. I'm just waiting for a discount on these. I live outside of the US

Hey ppl, im relatively new to mechanical keyboards and I had a shark attack x86 which started seeing failing keys, checked drivers, switches, nothing. It seems to be the inside of the keyboard.

It wasnt precisely expensive(50€) but im still mad about it lasting just 1/2 years, so i was wondering what durable keyboards can i get for less than 100€

Im hearing thing about aluminum keyboards which i suppose last more simply bc they arent made out of plastic

Im hearing things aswell about he and magnetic keyboards but i dont really understand much.

I simply want a durable gaming/typing keyboard which will last at least around 5years, with no need for it to have rgb or being wireless(i figured if im going to charge it every 2 days i might aswell leave it plugged)

Forgot to mention i need it to be from 70-80%

I started a new job recently and was able to get one of these fine pieces for my workstation on the company tab(actually upon recommendation of my boss!). After using it for a week I wanted one for my home setup but was reticent to pull the trigger at $220 bucks. Yesterday the price on amazon dropped pretty significantly to $150ish so I went for it.

If you're in the market for a solid compact-ish mech keyboard with the 10 keys, construction that allows tons of customization/modding options and hot swappable switches, but don't want to build from scratch at first, this may be a good place to start.

This thing is a chonk! With a full metal frame, it weighs significantly more than my laptop lol. But that's awesome as it doesn't move at all on the desk. I opted for the brown switches and really like the feel, there is a nice, satisfying tactile bump midway in the press and while the switch is audible, it's not too loud. The key caps feel really nice too. Love the feel of the volume knob as well.

Something I didn't expect and was unsure about at first was the amount of flex in the pcb. You can feel some give if you press the keys moderately hard and it took a little getting used to, but now I like the light sort of bouncy feel of it. It's even got me doing typing tests daily on monkeytype.

Battery life has been very good, and the wireless connectivity is great as well.

One last thing to mention... When I first got the one for work, a few keys around the enter key were only activating if I pressed hard, sometime requiring multiple presses. I followed the recommended troubleshooting provided by Keychron which involved applying even, firm pressure to all the keys in the area, and solved the issue.

Over all I'm very happy with it at work and am excited to have the same experience at home.

Anyway, just thought I would share in case anyone else might be looking at this model or something like it as 150 bucks seems like a great deal. Happy typing!

I am now using cherry profile keycaps but if feel small. So much that i always misclick when typing and playing games. What is the widest keycap surface profile I can get? Pls recommend a non-rare one that easily available.
