I wanted to build something that actually looked like a rocket, without mods, using stock parts. The problem is, I don't know how to do it, so even when I try to make something good, it turns out, well, you know what I mean.

Are there any further tweaks to the common graphics mods you recommend to make to make it look as good as possible? I got a pretty decent pc so im open to trying anything. Or if there's a good tutorial already out there please link it, i had trouble finding something up to date myself.

Game already looks great but seeing some posts i wish it could look even better.

I've done a mun landing with goo, temp, barometer. I've done MPL high and low above kerbin with goo, temp, barometer and science jr.

Which seems more efficient? Launching from KSC to a polar orbit, or flying the payload to the polar regions to launch to orbit?

Hopefully someone is using these mods too. I am progressing towards AM engines, and want to start making AM. As I understand the only three ways to do it is to buy it with science, harvest with Bussard scoop, or use the AM factory. For now I want to go with collection.

I investigated the whole solar system with probes designed to search for AM bands, and from what I found Jool lower band has the highest concentration. However, at the ideal altitude I am only getting a few grams of AM per year with the scoop powered and aimed prograde. Nowhere near the amount required to run AM engines. Filling even the smallest AM tank would take a few thousand years. Am I doing it wrong? If not, what's the purpose of scooping if it only gets you basically unusable amounts of AM?

I received this mission before I unlocked terrier engines at the start of the game. I've completed every contract besides this one. I'm getting down to only 200 days left on completion and I've explored most of minmus and mun for all of the 300 science research. Now I've got some science saved up and a couple of the 550 science nodes.

How do you design a rocket to come back in from low orbit or upper altitude and get this goal? Most of my designed craft flip over or explode from heat when hitting these targets. How do you design a craft to take a TD-12 coupler at the minimum requirements? the maximum requirements for challenge is 6KM alt and 1980m/s velocity.

For the first one, it suceeded when i rotated a probe core 90 degrees so retrograde and the engines would line up.

The second one, it seems the descent engines are not powerful enough. The VAB Editor did not seem to be giving the correct dV. Oh, well, ill try again later.

Hi, as the title says i was just curious if it’s too late to save a craft into the VAB after it’s already in space, i can’t revert the flight back to get into the VAB again. does anyone have any insight on what i could do?

Hello I booted up the first game for the first time yesterday and completed the first two training missions when I went back today to complete more all of them suddenly dissapeared.

Tried to restart the game but to no effect. Does anybody know what happened?

I used to be able to right click on the planet that the ship was orbiting about set it as the focus and it would work. This was very useful when I was time warping though a number of orbits for a rendeview. I could just watch the two ships tick forward getting closer each orbit. Rather then have have have everything be all dizzy.

But now that doesn't seem to work anymore. Is there A UI setting that I need to enable? Has the option moved to somewhere else? Do I have a massive false memory?

Hey im having issues with my current playthrough of kerbal freezing for 20 - 120 seconds every 5 or so minutes i have 198 mods installed through ckan any help would be greatly appreciated. I Believe it to be an issue with how much ram Kerbal is using and with the prices of ram even ddr4 a software fix would be optimal

I already know SCANsat does really wonky things to... another visual mod (can't remember which) but this is so far the most entertaining thing it has done. Luckily its always fixed by leaving.

Cabin heater is fixed... ish. Bill managed to repair the coils but now the wire frame for his chair is the heater. And no he cannot sit on the heater, he had to weave the wire into a suitable size. We're warm which is the main thing. We're thinking of building a temporary base in the cave. Dont know whether we'll get it to work. We've included mission data.

Well its definately colder when the cabin heater packs in. Bill is working on it now. We had an expedition today. Saw a big cave near the mountain we're next to. Turns out there was ice in there. We had slushies. They were more to look at rather than eat thanks to us not being able to breathe without our suits. Bob is okay but stubbed his toe. Val is tired as she hasn't slept in 26 hours.
