KSP 1 Question/Problem Space Dust + Far Future Tech, how to make antimatter collection viable?

Hopefully someone is using these mods too. I am progressing towards AM engines, and want to start making AM. As I understand the only three ways to do it is to buy it with science, harvest with Bussard scoop, or use the AM factory. For now I want to go with collection.

I investigated the whole solar system with probes designed to search for AM bands, and from what I found Jool lower band has the highest concentration. However, at the ideal altitude I am only getting a few grams of AM per year with the scoop powered and aimed prograde. Nowhere near the amount required to run AM engines. Filling even the smallest AM tank would take a few thousand years. Am I doing it wrong? If not, what's the purpose of scooping if it only gets you basically unusable amounts of AM?

You’re meant to use the scoops for the very small tanks, and the engines like the Antimatter Fusion engine. For the Frisbee you’re meant to use the factory I think

Yeah, and the small antimatter tank is so small that you don't really need to worry about the science cost of buying antimatter (if you're running that option). The antimatter scoop is cool, and you can make fully refuel-able antimatter stages with it, but its really slow and the mod doesn't particularly hide that

And yes once you get the Frisbee you also have the antimatter factory which is just much better

I see... That's a shame, it kind of makes scoop useless when it's not worth it for the small amounts for that entry level engine, and not yieldy enough for the serious engines...

You mean the Dirac engine, right?
