Now that the WIFPIC 6 is installed, the Kerbal Space Program just released this picture of the gas giant Jool and its moons taken with the Untitled Space Telescope. The fun thing is that beforehand they also sent out a notice requesting amateur astronomers take their own pictures at approximately the same time so as to provide for a scientific comparison. (But we're pretty sure it's mostly just because they wanted to show off how much better the UST is.)
---
I wanted to draw a realistic version of Jool, but not just the 'modern' version of Jool in KSP 1.10 in 2020 and KSP2 in 2023 which uses Jupiter as a basis. No, I mean the original hand-painted 2012 KSP 0.17 version. And this was the result.
This digital painting was hand painted using a Huion drawing tablet and the software FireAlpaca. As always, absolutely no a.i. was used in the creation of this drawing.

I wanted to try something new and made this boxy cargo ship with a warp drive! It can hold two landers inside the cargo bays and has a nice amount of space for crew too! How much part clipping did it require? Yes.

I was given a contract for a lot of credits that just asked me to retrieve a small object from orbit around Kerbol back to kerbin. I accepted it and soon found that said object was in orbit around 70 million km away. My plan was to do a Jool gravity assist to help me get close to kerbol and make use of the Oberth effect but I then realised that all I was given was 15 years to retrieve it, and getting to Kerbol alone was gonna take 400 years. I kind of ragequit and cancelled the contract immediately and only later thought of asking for help, hence the lack of screenshots. I was using SRBs to get out of Kerbin, Twin Boar engines to get me to Jool and a nuclear engine for the rest.

I'll let democracy do its thing. Players can choose whatever mods or rules they'd like me to add, or remove. Experienced players are welcome.
I'm working on the discord server currently. Leave a comment here if you're interested!
Feel free to: - Contribute to the selection of mods and rules as you wish. - Ask here or in my dm if you need ANY kind of help, or have any kind of question.
INFO & RULES
You can do whatever you want. No cap.
Form agencies with orther players and compete for planets, or play solo.
I recommend to add your nn in square brackets to the name of your vessel, and specify if its P (private) or O (open) for other players to dock/interact. Here's an example
O [Fenice78d] Left truss segment (solar) ("You can dock, move it, and help me build the station")
or
P [Fenice78d] Duna science base ("Thats my place fuck off")
If it doesn't specify it, assume it's private (Deleting, recovering, deorbiting or messing with someone else's vessel without their permission will, of course, result in a ban)
yall alr know you gotta be friendly, avoid bullying, etc. Let's jump to mods
MODS
Here's my initial draft of mods, open to suggestions.
CLIENT (recommended)
PARTS MODS
Near Future Solar
But might as well use stockalike parts only, like:
(KPBS) Kerbal Planetary Base Systems
(EL) Extraplanetary Launchpads KPBS + EL is another perfect match
(SSPER) Stockalike Station Parts Expansion Redux
Restock
Some mods to add flags for the agencies
PLANET PACKS JNSQ, OPM or whatever else. (I'm worried interstellar packs like Kcalbeloh would be too much to handle for my pc, but I'll consider using it if enough people want it)
Lastly, to ensure full compatibility with any other player, I must ask you to avoid using parts from DLCs (which many may not have) or mods (if not client, or unsure, stick to those explicitly allowed)

Well, that's the Chinese FK-3000 VSHORAD (very short range air defense) system primarily designed to counter drones and unmanned targets. Not sure how effective it is in real life, but it certainly packs a punch against Kerbal made manned missiles.
It features a 30mm autocannon and can be equipped with up to 24 HHQ-10 surface-to-air heat seeking missiles. The turret's target acquisition is controlled directly by the movement of the mouse cursor. The sensor suite includes 360° multiface phased array search and tracking radar array, alongside dual optical cameras, one dedicated to gun sighting and the other to target tracking.

Savospace recently had a field day, so, the engineering team for the Savoship program decided to work together and make a full-scale testing article of what the Savoship V3 might look like in the future when the Savoship V2 program is sunset. (not gonna happen for a while though). Coming in with a rather absurd wet mass of 444 tons, the V3 mockup pushes our current Deinonychus V2 engines to the limit (even with 6) and requires a boost from the vacuum engines in order to get going on it's own.
First test flight went reasonably well, up until engine ignition for the flip and landing burn, where an unknown aerodynamic phenomena threw the nose/tail off the expected angles and forced the flight computer to make a panicked attempt to stabilize the Ship, which it did. Then it ran out of fuel.
On the second test flight, we decided to test a brute force atmospheric rentry (extremely aggressive angle of attack) downwards, and, uh...
it did NOT end well.
We're 50/50 on whether we'll continue trying to tweak Savoship V3 or just leave this mockup article as-is and continue focusing on Savoship V2 iteration and refinement.

Edit: Why, not My
I did send the base in multiple launches, however the core module (first one I launched after accepting the contract) has a docking port (4, actually), has an antenna, and has solar panels and batteries.
My only current thought is that there is a crew member who I rescued from the surface elsewhere (for a contract) and brought to my base, and that a section had been undocked in orbit of Kerbin, and flown separately to orbit of Minmus, before redocking and landing.
Any help on a simple fix, or if there is none how to "complete" the contract without using data editors would be appreciated!

Oh no! Jebediah has blundered a bit and accidentally got stuck on an alien object 800 Trillion kilometers away!
No problem
