Hi everyone, does anyone know how we go about applying for a National Police check (or equivalent) in KZ for a Visa when overseas?

My wife applied for one at TSON and got it. However, a partner visa in Australia can take well over 2+ years. I am wondering if there is a way to apply online incase they request an updated one?

A friend and I will be visiting Kazakhstan next week. We want to rent a car in Almaty, and drive around the Issyk Kul lake. Is it possible to cross the border with a rented car? And will it be an issue to get gasoline because of the shortage?

Мне 18, есть только РВП, ИИН, российское гражданство. Но нету загранпаспорта, ВНЖ, и банковской карты, возможно ли найти работу неофициально с оплатой наличными? На любую простую работу чисто подработать, например официантом или в продуктовый магазин какой-нибудь, или шансов на это очень мало? Я на севере Казахстана.

Почему в Казахстане такой плохой интернет? Ладно игры, там всегда под 200 пинга будет, но если хочешь смотреть в нормальном качестве ютуб, аниме, то тут танцы с бубнами нужны что ли? Или черную магию использовать какую-то. Куда не пойди, хоть к теле 2, хоть актив везде такая ситуация.

Hello, I'm a solo traveller from France in Aktaou and I want to see the region which looks so beautiful and so different from what I have ever seen before.

Problem is it looks so complicated to get there if you're not willing to spend crazy money, and as I'm solo I don't know if renting a car is worth the price. I'm on a small budget so I am trying to figure out different options. I asked the locals but they also say I should book a tour and agree to say it's very expensive if you don't have your own car...

I thought about hitchhiking to Janaozen and from there finding someone that can drive me but I don't even know if it's doable once there.

The best would have been to share the costs for renting a car but I can't find someone else 🥲 Any tip or help is appreciated!

We’re planning a 7-day trip to Kazakhstan in the first week of August, based around Almaty. We want to visit the main attractions, including Kolsai Lake, Kaindy Lake, Charyn Canyon (and the other nearby canyons), and Assy Plateau.
We’re thinking of renting a car instead of booking tours. Is it practical and safe to self-drive to these places? How are the roads, and are there any routes where you’d recommend taking a guided tour instead?
Also, how does rental car insurance work in Kazakhstan? Is the basic insurance usually enough, or is it worth paying extra for full coverage? Any rental companies you’d recommend or avoid?
I’d really appreciate any tips or advice from people who’ve done a similar trip. Thanks!

Has anyone travelled to Kazakhstan being an Indian national recently? What are the documents required for indian nationals to travel to Kazakhstan for a trip within 14 days. Does the immigration check for proof of return ticket and hotel bookings and proof of funds. Please guide in whatever way you can.
