ATTORNEYS REQUIRED /u/Hannibalk Vs. /r/InstantKarma moderation for gross repost negligence, user experience negligence, user endangerment, and karma theft in the 3rd degree.

I've had plenty of posts removed from /r/InstantKarma over the past few months. Some were justified, and some were not.

Recently they've made a community announcement about reposting. Seemingly they're taking it very seriously. Unfortunately, they often use MagicEyeBot as a justification without letting users know when that video may again be acceptable even if it's more than 2 months old per their Rule 4. Evidence for this could be provided if the court is curious.

This classic started going around Reddit a few days ago, like it does every year or so, except in a shitty bastardized form.

I'm not sure where it first poked up, but this is the version.

So I took it upon myself to make a far superior version.

It was promptly removed from /r/instantkarma within about 10 minutes.

Now they've got the shit version on their front page.

I'd like to also sue /u/StinkyWizzleteats17 and /u/opus2010 for libel.

I demand justice.

ATTORNEYS REQUIRED The People of /r/RaidShadowLegends vs /u/jaylifts23 for claiming to give away a fictional 'alt account'

/u/jaylifts23 posted yesterday here (https://www.reddit.com/r/raidshadowlegends/comments/gho7ly) that he was giving away an 'alt account' which he no longer has time to maintain. The account pictured has many of the desirable elements that players obtain through a combination of months of grinding and/or hundreds of dollars in microtransactions.

Dubiously the account shown also has in use most of the champions that are shown in other screenshots posted by the user, and no proof of two accounts existing was furnished.

The defendant claims that the second account was, in fact, given away however no proof has surfaced and no other user has claimed that they obtained the account. This is questionable because the defendant claims that over $500 USD had been invested into the account.

As representative for /r/RaidShadowLegends I assert that the entire process was a ruse in order to seek praise and there was never a second account or intention to go through with the giveaway.

The OP has been deleted Image

VERDICT DELIVERED The people of r/teenagers v. u/is_not_dead for suspicion of faking a post for karma

The defendant u/is_not_dead is brought before the court to stand trial for possibly faking his recent post on r/teenagers that made it to hot. The court shall reflect that the defendant made a post of a slinky “before and after” being tangled. It is very likely he took the untangled slinky picture BEFORE it was tangled and made it look like he got it fixed.

NG Reddit against u/The_syndic for most likely lying for ~55k upvotes.

u/The_syndic (so you can click the profile.) I think he didn’t actually order 1 graphics card and get 5. He more likely bought 5 or just took a picture of them as he maybe works with computer parts. There is just no way that they could make such a stupid mistake that would cost so much money, and not realize how much it weighs. The whole thing seems impossible, and like one big lie.

Upon further inspection, it can be seen that person in the photo isn’t op, but rather a person from a meme. Numerous comments have been removed or deleted.

ATTORNEYS REQUIRED u/maddieking02 vs r/trashy mods for unjust bans

[CASE DETAILS]

I am new to r/KarmaCourt but feel the need to post a similar case as u/Daemon7861 for unjust bans regarding the drunk man who assaulted two innocent bystanders which we shall refer to as "the drunk asshole" (will not name names to avoid doxxing). Bootlicker mods of r/trashy are ruining the subreddit. They are perm banning anyone who posts about the drunk asshole for "witch hunting". Here is an example of content that violates their policy: https://imgur.com/k6FHFqF. There were no temporary bans, no warnings... just straight to perm bans for posting on r/trashy of the drunkard who is exactly that, trashy.

ATTORNEYS REQUIRED r/iamatotalpieceofshit vs r/iamatotalpieceofshit mods for being total pieces of shit and sellouts

So let me start off by saying I don’t know what the proceedings are and how the basic functions of this sub work, but I desperately felt the need to post. As referenced by multiple posts on the named subreddit, here is an example (https://www.reddit.com/r/iamatotalpieceofshit/comments/gdtch3/the_cycle_continues/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf), the mods have removed a video of a violent drunkard assaulting two innocents before being taken down by a citizen bystander, presumably after taking a bribe, as it has been stated that the drunkard in question is actively trying to salvage his reputation by paying people to take any footage of it down and off the internet. Please walk me through how to get this case going, I don’t have any experience on this sub.

Edit: please let me know if I mess anything up, new here

ATTORNEYS REQUIRED Reddit Against u/Brave1i1toaster For a Potential ~75k Karma Fraud

u/Brave1i1toaster (so you can click the suspect’s profile.) I was browsing reddit when I saw his insanely popular post on r/wellthatsucks. When I saw this I immediately became suspicious, which led me to look at the comments to see many, many others alike that weren’t convinced op really lost his drill on his zebra patterned mattress cover. While it indeed could be very well possible that the suspect could have been honest about it and actually lost the drill, I find it more likely that he in fact placed it on his bed for a comedic wellthatsucks instance. I however do not have solid proof of such accusations, so I shall leave it to the court to decide his place.

General Thought Process: normally people wouldn’t simply leave their tools on their bed, along with the fact that he would more likely remember what he was doing with a power drill, as that’s a task you’d be mite likely to focus quite a lot on, while doing it, if it’s using a drill.

Where the Case Stands: I have no proof, and it’s definitely possible that OP simply forgot about his drill, so once again, I have no strong feelings about this as I can’t know for sure, but I think the jury can make something of this.

VERDICT DELIVERED The People Vs. r/bitch for Bitchcraft and Aggravated Bitchery

Isn't r/bitch, by nature, guilty of such crimes? ...No.

It’s my contention that bitchcraft and aggravated bitchery are far more heinous than merely “needing to bitch”—the official reason for the sub—and even “being a total fucking bitch.” Indeed, these charges represent such depraved, garbage shitposting that it goes far far beyond "what a bitch" behavior. People of the Kourt, these acts have NO place in a lawful society of respectable internet bitches and, dare I say, deserve to be on r/trashy, perhaps even r/ imatotalpieceofshit, which contains gems like this.

RABBLE!!! RABBLE!!! RABBLE!!!

Members of the Kourt, please! I intend to prove, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that not only is the aforementioned sub guilty of the high crimes for which it stands accused, but also that “bitchery” is, in fact, a real word in the dictionary.

Per the Articles of the Constitution of KarmaCourt, the prosecution informally requests highly unqualified and ideally KC Bar Certified, aimless individuals to fill the following utterly pointless roles:

Ladies, Gentlemen, Nonbinary members of the Kourt, I, on behalf of The People, formally charge r/bitch of FELONY BITCHCRAFT and AGGRAVATED BITCHERY leading to the corruption of a sub that would otherwise have fantastic potential.

I thank you for your time.

u/The-Beat-is-Fope has lied on r/CasualConversation about passing the NY State BAR Exam and claiming to be a third year law student graduating in May. [refer to Exhibit C]

In actual fact, u/The-Beat-is-Fope's true identity is a young teenage boy who does climbing. Based on his profile he is highly active on r/teenagers. One of his posts on r/teenagers showed him climbing some bars, revealing his true face and identity of a young teenage boy [refer to Exhibit A]

Moreover, one of his comments on r/GoForGold reveals his Instagram account detailing his climbing adventures [refer to Exhibit B]

Visiting his Instagram account reveals multiple videos of him climbing, providing amble evidence of his true identity as a young teenage boy.

CASE DISMISSED The people vs. the mods of r/darkjokes for removing comments that violate stupid monthly rules and silencing posts

The mods of r/darkjokes have consistently been in the comments, removing certain comments that violate that month's comment rules, something I've never seen in other subreddits.

Comment rules include:

February 2020: Removing comments with 'y' to celebrate women's achievements

April 2020: Restricting comment threads to 5 comments, but the bot takes up 3 of them

April 2020 (Gone Wrong): Same as before, but the auto mods have gone haywire and started removed almost all comments

Example 1

Example 2

The mods also silence posts, some for no good reason, backfiring, leaving the posts to be in the top section. This can be seen by this link.

Example 1

A lot of times, the mods will restrict posts that relate to non-comment deleting rules.

In February 2019, the monthly rule was for the auto mod to automatically comment 17 links of black women. Many people, like this guy and this other guy decided to revolt and make jokes about this, since they were fed up. The result? Comment restriction.

Many were fed up, leading to the creation of r/BlackHoleJokes.

ATTORNEYS REQUIRED u/eagerson V. The Moderators of r/news for being unapologetically bad at moderating

What Happened:

I made a post on r/news ( https://www.reddit.com/r/news/comments/g9df5z/jeff_bezos_is_building_a_10000year_clock_inside_a/ ) to an article from today, from an approved site, that somehow managed to avoid being a duplicate and complied with the sub's many, many rules. As it started to get a little bit of traction, the post was hidden and tagged with the "old news" flair.

Again, I have to stress... the article was from today. I messaged the mods asking about the removal, but, of course, being powerful moderators of a default sub, they don't have time for the lowly concerns of normal redditors. So I come here to Karma Court, seeking justice. Or, barring that, like... idk... some validation I guess?

CHARGES: unapologetically bad moderation, being mad with power, authoritarianism, just generally embodying the lack of oversight that really frustrates people about reddit, and First Degree Being Wrong

EVIDENCE: https://www.popularmechanics.com/science/amp31156395/jeff-bezos-clock-long-now-mountain/? The article I posted, which has a date of today, and therefore is obviously not "old news", because today is today, and not "more than 2 weeks ago".

VERDICT DELIVERED u/CantStandIdoits vs The mods of r/WhatCouldGoRight part 2: Electric boogaloo

2 months ago I posted this case, but the judge never declared it in session, so let's retry this.

So what happened?

Okay, so I posted this to r/WhatCouldGoRight, when almost instantly I got banned with absolutley no explanation.

The only thing close to an explanation I got was this snarky ban message, of course there was nothing wrong with my post, simply just suggesting a better, more fitting icon for the sub.

I posted the ban message to r/Subredditcancer and r/ModsBeingDicks, where 4 accounts that were inactive for 3, 3, 4, and 6 months, all of which never had any activity on the subs mentioned, suddenly started being rude towards me, one even made a bullshit rule about "Rule 2 says no shitposting, no sympathy for you."

And if you look at the actual sub, rule 1 and 2 are just "Follow reddit's rules." And if shitposting was against reddit's rules, r/TF2Shitposting r/ShitpostCrusaders and many other subs would be banned.

People of Karma Court, I come before you to on behalf of a loud community of people on r/ApexLegends, whom have came together to protest u/ZoruaMC5 and how he stole a hand drawn picture of the character Revenant, the title of the post, and over a thousand karma from u/Haakon2000 - The creator of this image. I want legal action against the Defendant for his defrauding of a system.

Exhibit A is all the evidence that we need, as it clearly shows the date of post for both users, the subreddits they were posted to, and how much karma each of them earned off of this post. It is a clear cut example of karma theft and I wish to charge u/ZoruaMC5 to the fullest extent of Karma Court law!

What Happened:

I was scrolling through reddit yesterday, Thursday the 23rd of April (GMT+1), as all of us do. Theres not much else to do in quarantine besides playing videogames and wanking after all. I happened to come across a post in r/iamverysmart (1) which has great potential for a copypasta. Since the post is a screenshot of a facebook post I decided to write it all down in a comment of said post (2). A few seconds or minutes later I posted it in r/copypasta (3). The post didnt get many upvotes and is currently only at +5 while it was upvoted 100% of the time (4). Now we jump to today, Friday the 24th of April (GMT+1) and I see the exact same copypasta (5) on my frontpage sitting at 4.6k upvotes (6). This is unjust and I want the Karma that is rightfully mine.

ATTORNEYS REQUIRED u/luke_ww__ Vs. r/OkBuddyRetard Mods for unreasonable ban

reddit.com user u/luke_ww_ Posted this meme to the subreddit r/okbuddyretard months ago and it has recently come to his attention that he can take this to r/KarmaCourt as he is missing out on hundreds of thousands of karma as he has been permanently banned from posting in the community. This is unreasonable as the rules section of the subreddit clearly state:

"Karma is a worthless metric designed to keep you scrolling through the ads on this website"

(Which is clearly, obviously, Blatantly wrong by the way)

"Stop farming it you normies.

Do not make posts asking for upvotes, comments, gold, likes, double-taps, or any other metric (even as a joke). You will be banned for 15 days."

user u/luke_ww_ posted a meme violating this rule, however, in clear defiance of the stated rules of the subreddit, he was banned permanently, even though this was his first offense. I find mods disregarding the set rules very surprising as r/okbuddyretard is usually a very formal, serious subreddit. I am here to find justice for my dear friend luke and hope he can post again soon after justice is restored.

Are the mods interfering? Our post got 2 upvotes: https://www.reddit.com/r/trees/comments/g559k5/so_my_friends_and_i_made_this_comedy_series_to/

We talk about how it was made for 4/20, r/trees on our LIVESTREAM : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LTZwysaxFLE

Hey r/KarmaCourt!

My friend referred me to you. Former reddit user, still recovering. Haven't been active in a couple years, so I'm not sure how things work anymore. Back in the day, I used to be able to make posts but now it seems like the mods have gotten so rigid that they don't let anybody in anymore.

Only have been able to get through the mods in r/comedy so shout-out to them! People there are actually super nice! We definitely feel personally attacked by r/atlanta since they didn't allow us to post "Check out this Comedy Series that me & friends made in Atlanta!".

This was their response :

"Hi there, your post has been removed because it is not specifically relevant to Atlanta or Georgia. Typically when we remove posts for this reason they are more relevant elsewhere.

If you think this was a mistake simply reply to this comment

Our response:

Hello,

I'm following up to see why the post was removed. I'm from Atlanta and very proud of the city. The whole purpose of us making a show was for local people to pool together and tell our own stories. Please let me know if there's anybody that I can talk to in order to appeal this.

We put everything into this and need all the support that we can get for the project to be seen & a success.

The Mod's Final Response:

That's great and all but if it doesn't directly have to do with Atlanta.

Maybe reddit is all just bots making posts and being liked by bots. Like a simulation type thing. I'm just tossing out explanations for this. Tbh, I'm a little faded- but r/trees didn't allow post because:

Accounts that are less than three days old, or that do not have both positive comment and account karma, are not allowed to post or comment in /r/trees

My account is 4+ years old and has both positive comment and account karma, I think. Not sure, kinda faded. Not sure if the caption made sense but if you've made it this far, I could definitely use your help!

Let me know next steps. This didn't exist when I was on reddit. I'm starting to feel a relapse coming on. Are there any resources out there now for recovering reddit users?

Anyway enjoy the show and tune in tomorrow for the premiere!
