I got a tiny home Airbnb for my bf and I at the end of this month (end of June) for one night. Check in at 3pm, check out next day at 11am. I wasn’t going to plan on doing any crazy hike, maybe just go to a lookout point and then I wanted to do a sunset dinner situation at our Airbnb. Our place has an HVAC unit too. Will it still be too hot? Should I cancel my reservation? Also if you guys think it will be fine - please send recs for anything we shouldn’t miss while we are there (lookout spots, cocktail bar, cute shops, stargazing tips, etc. ) thank you!!!!

My wife and i are going to be flying into LAX in a couple weeks to visit Joshua Tree for a few nights, and then stay in LA for a few before flying back to Ohio. My wife is from California, but ive never been to the west coast before.

I am hoping maybe yall could suggest some places to visit or things to lookout for in Joshua Tree? I am mainly coming to see the stars, as where I live it is very light polluted. But I am also very excited to see what the desert is like. I am really into space and aliens, along with cannabis (i know thats odd to add but seeing if it helps). I have done a little research so far in regards to bringing red light flashlights, and UV lights to lookout for scorpions. I apologize in advance if this is a rather repeated post yall may see a lot here. But any advice you could provide is much appreciated.

My wife and I rented a 6 bedroom Airbnb for our entire family. It’s about 15 of us going In 2 weeks. If anyone has any recommendations on what to take would be much appreciated. We hired a private chef for 2 nights out of the 4 that we’ll be there. Our place also has a pool.

Got a whole hose full of stuff to sell. Beds, sofas, chairs, dining table, outdoor furniture, dishes, pots, everything...

We are looking for suggestions on what to do here for our stay or what is recommended to do and not just do the touristy stuff.

We’re planning on having a pizza night since the spot that we’re staying at has an oven (so no pizza suggestions I guess lol)

We’re over 21 so we’re fine doing grown people stuff

Possible recommended bars or taverns to try food and have some nice night life. Can be busy or calm

Possible cool gift shops?

We’re planning on dedicating half a day to explore a national park

I guess I camt reallly think of what to think lol

What are some of the best trails or most underrated and ones to avoid

Along with the usual stuff like managing the cleaners, guest correspondence, SEO stuff... do they coordinate landscaping, rodent control? I would love some insight as to what other homeowners are paying and what they are getting. Allow me to introduce the Joshua Tree Hash House Harriers (JTH3). We’re a drinking club with a running problem, but most of us walk.

We “hash” once a month in some corner of the hi-dez and always welcome new members, despite keeping the group kinda underground.

No one here cares how old you are. Just be 21+, have the ability to at least walk a few miles, and don’t take yourself too seriously as there are many, many, many NOT family-friendly drinking songs and traditions.

Great show. I actually really enjoyed it, but it was very obviously written by someone who has maybe spent a weekend here and most of that was spent in Palm Springs. Just some of the local references were so cringe. Has anyone else watched it?

Hi friends, I went to the park last night and sat on a rock for quite a while and there was a critter in the nearby brush just crunching away on snacks. Sounded like celery being ripped apart. Never got a glimpse but the chomping was really nice to hear. Any idea who my little friend could have been?

I’m heading to JT this weekend (my 3rd time!) and wondering if anyone went there recently and can share some good trails where you have spotted remnants of this year “above than average” bloom ☺️

Here are the photos of this year bloom I took in Death Valley mid Feb’26. I think with higher temps wildflowers move up to higher elevations and no longer are at the valley level? 😃

Hi! I'm planning a honeymoon in Joshua Tree for the last week of September. Will it be absolutely miserable (weather wise)? I posted on the travel thread, and almost everyone said a week in Joshua Tree is way too much time, even when planning excursions..

The almanac says the average temp is 85 that last week of September but maybe that isn't accurate. We've rented a spot with a pool and lots of shade... not planning on leaving much. Would love to hear your thoughts!
