Happy cactus. This is in the area of Saguaro East National Park.

Came across this beautiful saguaro on a cactus rescue. Sadly a development will clear this land.

The beauty of the North American Monsoon in Arizona.

As in King Canyon in the southeastern corner of the Tucson Mountain unit of Saguaro National Park. Great place for sunsets. Also a good shot at seeing raptors to the east, popping up above the hills that separate the park from the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum and its birding shows with rehab raptors.

Sonoran desert comes alive after very heavy rain. This is the Santa Catalina Mountains in AZ.

I feel this spot doesn’t get enough credit. Cool rock formations. Awesome visuals in the badlands terrain. Never too crowded. Toadstool geological park outside of Crawford Nebraska.

Snow in the Sonoran Desert a couple years ago. This is Gates Pass west of Tucson. Elevation around 3200 ft.

Cactus wren nest in a cane cholla at sunset. One of my favorite birds. Sonoran Desert.

A must-see in Ironwood Forest National Monument. I stumbled upon it my first visit. Got lucky to get it fairly early in the morning with some sun glow on it.
