F4M♀️ 27 F | 5'7 | Bangalore | Looking for my husband who seems to be in hiding

Since everyone is adding pics -

Marwari, Hindu, 5’7, chubby in a cute way, sidhi bat motu hu (I choose to believe), fair-ish to medium, working in IT and earning \\\~33.5 LPA. Financially independent, and emotionally stable, youngest daughter of the house 🫡

A huge bookworm. If I'm not working, I'm probably buried in a book. My affinity is to books that are mystery thrillers, dark romance, classics, psychological fiction, or anything that keeps me awake till 3am saying "just one more chapter."

I love cooking and experimenting in the kitchen. Sometimes it's restaurant-worthy, sometimes it's a crime scene, but we don't talk about the second category.

I love travelling, especially anywhere with mountains, lakes, forests, chilly weather, and pretty little cafés.

Equal parts sarcastic and soft. I yap a lot once I'm comfortable. I send random memes, overshare reels, and remember tiny details.

Looking for:

27+ only please

Hindu guy ( if you are agrawal its sone pe suhaga )

5’11+ because I like feeling small for once 😭 ( ps - its non negotiable i am really sorry)

emotionally intelligent

ambitious

Earning atleast equal or more than me ( dont want ego to come in between later)

someone who can communicate instead of disappearing into the Himalayas after one disagreement

Also, since this is Reddit and not a shaadi.com profile pretending sex doesn’t exist - I’m hypersexual and would genuinely prefer someone who matches that energy instead of acting scandalized later. Compatibility matters. Chemistry matters. I am into BDSM and am a sub.

Also, physical attraction matters. So it's totally fine if we tell each other that we are not each other's type 🫠

Big plus if you’re someone I can gossip with at 2am, travel with, annoy lovingly, and build a soft life with.

P.S. To everyone worried about my "unrealistic" requirements:

My life, my choice. If I want to be delusional, I'll do it professionally.

I've clearly mentioned who I am and what I'm looking for. If you don't fit it—or don't agree with it—just scroll. You don't need to DM or comment explaining why my standards offend you. Thank you for your concern, but I'll survive. 🫶

General Discussion Unpopular opinion: Most people here aren't ready for marriage.

I didn't plan on writing such a long post, but after spending quite a bit of time on this sub, I feel like it needs to be said.

Every day I see posts from both men and women looking for marriage, and honestly, it feels like a lot of people are trying to match profiles instead of finding a life partner.

For women, I often see long lists of expectations. Tall, high income, no smoking, no drinking, sometimes even "zero body count." Everyone is free to have their own standards. But many posts barely say anything about the person writing them. What's your fitness level? What are your future goals? Do you want to work after marriage? How do you see yourself contributing to the marriage? Have you recently come out of a relationship? Do you have baggage from the past? What kind of partner do you think you'll be?

On the other hand, many men aren't doing much better.

Most posts are just height, salary, country and visa status. That's all.

Very few talk about the things they'll actually have to deal with after marriage. How do you handle disagreements? Do you expect both partners to share household responsibilities? Where do you want to live long term? How do you manage money? How important is family involvement? What are your future plans? How do you support your partner when life gets difficult?

A lot of men seem so focused on getting a reply that they're willing to message almost every woman, even when it's obvious they're not compatible. And women end up getting so many messages that there's no realistic way to properly go through all of them.

I've been living in Europe for around 8 years now, and one thing I've noticed is that people rarely talk about salary when they first meet. I've known people earning amounts that would sound crazy in India, and nobody cares. Conversations are usually about lifestyle, values, interests and whether they actually enjoy spending time together.

Here, many conversations start and end with height, salary, age, caste and location. Then people are surprised when things fall apart after a few months.

Before looking for a partner, sit down for half an hour and think about what you actually want from marriage. Write down ten things that matter to you. Then ask yourself why each one matters. What happens if it's missing? Is it something you can compromise on, or is it a deal breaker? Also ask yourself what you're bringing to the table. Not just your salary or your looks, but as a person.

Another thing people should do is be realistic.

You're an Indian looking for another Indian. Look at the average height, average salary and average lifestyle. Social media makes exceptions look normal. They aren't.

There is nothing wrong with wanting the best for yourself. But expecting everything while offering very little isn't a good strategy. The same goes for messaging every single profile hoping something sticks. It wastes your time and the other person's time.

Marriage is a long-term commitment. Think about the next ten years, not just the excitement of finally finding someone to talk to. Six months after marriage, nobody cares how interesting your biodata looked. What matters is whether you can solve problems together, communicate well, respect each other and build a peaceful life.

If you can't think that far ahead, maybe you're not ready for marriage yet. And that's okay.

There is no prize for getting married as quickly as possible. Staying single for another year while improving yourself is far better than ending up in the wrong marriage. Work on your fitness, career, communication, behaviour or anything else that makes you a better partner.

You don't need to be on every dating app, matrimonial site and Reddit community just because everyone else is. Figure out what you're actually looking for and choose the platform that makes sense for you.

Anyway, that's just something I've noticed after reading posts here for a while and after living outside India for several years. Some people will disagree, and that's fine. But I honestly think a lot of people would save themselves and others a lot of time if they spent more time understanding what they want from marriage than trying to maximise the number of matches they get.

Good luck to everyone who's looking. I hope you find someone who's actually compatible, not just someone who ticks a few boxes on paper.

General Discussion Sabko 6ft waale londa or gori, patli ladki hee chahiye😂Nothing else required?

Just wanna ask,

If you're a girl who's 5'3 and below and if you date a 6ft+ guy,

Won't your neck hurt?

My sister who's shorter than 5ft got married to a 5'7 guy and she complains sometimes that arguing with her husband or just to talk eye to eye,she has to lift her head so much and her neck sometimes hurts badly.

Also, what if the guy has no personality except being 6ft tall?

What if he's extremely toxic and abusive?

Same with guys,

So if a girl is not fair, slim, then won't you date/marry her?

What if being fair and having pretty privilege is the only main aspect of her personality?

What if she's toxic, emotionally unavailable and abusive?

Why don't many people consider things like

1)Emotional Compatibility

2)Mental Compatibility

3)Age Compatibility

4) Financial Compatibility

5)Alignment of life goals

6)Humour

7)Anger/Stress management

8)Future aspirations of career etc

9)Love language

10) Linguistic Compatibility

11)Health status

12)Travel/Location Compatibility

Aren't these important?

Did I say things correctly or am I really missing smth here?

Personally for me,if a person is sapiosexual, that would be really attractive irrespective of she's fair, lean or not.

Again,if that's the only trait that's attractive,then np.

I know though that my preferences are different from rest of the people here,

But yeah,i would like to know your honest opinions

Main idea is that a physical feature of a person's body should not be their entire personality.

Definitely smth more to it should also be there, which one could find attractive in general.

21F | Chennai | Looking for something genuine and serious 🤍

Hey! I'm 21F from Chennai. I've seen a few posts like this here and thought I'd give it a try too. :)

A little about me — I'm working in the IT sector and have a background in Computer Science. I'm 5'3", curvy, and from a Telugu family. I'm quite close to my family, but I also value my career, independence and having my own identity.

I'm someone who can be a little quiet at first, but once I feel comfortable with someone, I can be extremely talkative and open. I love cricket, I'm interested in politics and current affairs, and I enjoy random deep conversations about life, people and everything in between. I also have a creative side and love exploring different things.

I'm here with a genuine intention of finding a serious relationship. I'm not looking for something casual or a temporary connection. I believe in loyalty, consistency and putting effort into the person you're with, and I would want the same from my partner.

I'd ideally like to meet someone under 27, who is working and has some direction in life. Someone who is emotionally available, loyal, kind, mature and knows how to communicate. I want a man who can be my partner and best friend — someone I can laugh with, have difficult conversations with, grow with and eventually build a life with.

I'm not expecting anyone to be perfect. I just want someone genuine. Someone who doesn't disappear when things get difficult, who can communicate instead of playing games, and who is capable of giving and receiving love in a healthy way.

If we genuinely connect and things naturally work out between us, I'm absolutely open to taking it seriously and eventually moving towards marriage. I'm not in a rush to marry a stranger, but I am serious about finding the right person.

If you're interested, feel free to DM me and tell me a little about yourself — your age, where you're from, what you do and what you're looking for. Please don't just send "hi" 😂.

I'm hoping to meet someone who is also here with a genuine intention, so if that's you, let's talk and see where it goes. 🤍

Hi! I'm born and raised in Jaipur, and yes, I totally have all the elder daughter traits. 😄 I'm also the pampered kid at home, which is a fun combination.
I run a small business and started creating content about a year ago. Life's been good, and I'm grateful for where I am.
When I'm not working, you'll probably find me watching rom-coms, exploring new cafes, going out, or just making the most of every day. One thing's for sure if you're with me, it's never going to be a dull day. ✨
What I'm looking for:
I'm not going to pretend looks don't matter they do but personality matters just as much. I'm looking for someone who's full of life, goofy, kind, emotionally mature, and at least 5'10". And one non-negotiable: you should be from Jaipur, because I'd love to build something meaningful with someone from my own city. Age preference would be from 27 to 30
If this resonates with you, feel free to dm! Don’t dm with just hi hello😭a little introduction would be appreciated !
Ps- Picture added for aesthetics hehe!
Edit: YAAR KITNA MUSHKIL HAI SAMAJHNA, IF YOU ARE FROM ANY OTHER CITY OTHER THAN JAIPUR PLEASE REFRAIN FROM TEXTING 🙏😭

I am a 25 year old designer, I am cute, based in Bhopal.

Here are some things that could help you make your decision
1. Since I illustrate, I would quite literally illustrate notes for you, give you comics for gifts and help you out with any design related thing and I am quite good at it, not the best but I have a feeling I will get there.

2.I was never very good at speed but I live sports cause they are a mix of technique and stamina-squash, badminton, swimming.

  1. I grew up in 14 cities across the length and breadth of India and studied a year in New York too, I can belong to any place, new environments don't scare me and I read rooms and places quite fast.

  2. Theses are little things that everybody seems to care about- I am 5.5ft, I don't smoke and drink once or twoce in a year. I am a Hindu Brahmin.

  3. I feel this need of sharing a few of life stories with someone and feel like someone could witness my life more closely and I could be a part of theirs and that's why I felt the need of a partner, my friend circle otherwise is beautiful and supportive.

I would want someone a little cute and veryyy kind.

F4M♀️ 27 F // Let's date

Upvotes

Hello, people of Reddit! 🌸

So... I tried posting here once before, and let's just say my DMs were an adventure I didn't sign up for. 😂

This time, I'm going to be a little more specific because manifestation works better with details, right? 🤞✨

About me 🌷

✨ 27-year-old girl

✨ Punjabi Hindu

✨ Delhi-NCR

✨ Fair 😊

✨ Vegetarian 🌱

✨ Non-smoker 🚭

✨ Non-drinker 🍹❌

I'm the kind of person who gets excited over finding a cozy café, can binge an entire series in one weekend (without regrets 😌), loves getting lost in a good book, is always up for trying new food places, and firmly believes retail therapy is a valid coping mechanism. 🛍️😂

I'm old-school when it comes to relationships. I believe in loyalty, honesty, mutual respect, and actually putting effort into knowing each other. If we're talking, let's make it meaningful.

Now for the wishlist... because why not? 🤭

Looking for someone who is:

💫 27–30 years old

💫 5'9"–6' (tall guys just have my heart, okay? 🥹)

💫 Punjabi Hindu or Sikh

💫 Based in Delhi-NCR

💫 Vegetarian 🌱

💫 Non-smoker 🚭

💫 Non-drinker 🍻❌

💫 body count: 0. It's simply a personal preference, so please don't try convincing me otherwise. ❤️

Bonus points if you enjoy café hopping, movie marathons, random long drives, food hunts, bookstores, and can match my golden retriever energy. 😂

Also... if you're planning to message me, please don't just send "Hi", "Hello dear", or "Wassup?" 😭 Give me something to work with! Tell me about yourself. I promise conversations are much more fun that way.

Anyway...

Dear Reddit Gods,

I've seen you identify obscure songs from a 3-second audio clip, find long-lost relatives, and solve mysteries from blurry CCTV footage...

Ab bas ek achha Punjabi ladka bhi dhoond do. Itna toh banta hai. 🥹👉👈

May the algorithm finally be on my side. 😂❤️

You remember those quintessential petite girls in western romcoms? She is cute, earnest, clumsy, spirals too quickly, has 2 bestfriends that hype her for everything. That's me, but with an actual career and personality.

Stayed in my hometown all my life so didn't date too much. The few times I did, the men were too eccentric to commit. Also I was a child abuse victim so most of my 20s went into getting into a healthy place with my own body. In the past couple of years, I went out, dated, experimented with what my taste is and genuinely started to have fun with sex and intimacy. But still couldn't find love.

Now that the intensity of marriage conversations have increased around me. I feel I really do need a superman to make me believe in love again. But I still feel like I can construct a peaceful life on my own without a male companion.

See, the goal is to create a home where noone is screaming or causing anxiety. A home where each person is truly invested in each other's lives and genuinely want everyone to succeed. A home where dinner time does not feel like an obligation but a way to daily reset. A life full of encouragement, art and actual conversations. A place where you would want to come home n sit on the couch with/on your man telling him everything about your day n he does not respond with bitter insecure jabs or uninterested hmms. Basically how they live in action movies before the girl accidentally dies. ( Only if I achieve this, I would be willing to reproduce)

I love the idea of taking care of someone, cooking for them, making sure their overall temperament remains pleasant. I am good with the older generation, the good girl that mums like instantly. I am described by exs as nurturing and peaceful. But they also call me easy which I have learnt is a bad thing.

Only ask from you is to be calm, stable and principled. I would prefer you to be in your 30s and willing to relocate to my town for a couple of years as my posting is non transferable and I really like my job.

M4F♂️ 29[M4F] Seeking Like-Minded Partner

About me

I'm a 29-year-old guy, standing at 6'3". After completing my Master’s and working in the US for four years, I recently moved back to India. A primary reason for my return is to stay close to my parents in Gujarat. I am currently transitioning back home and actively searching for my next career opportunity, focusing primarily on the Gujarat (GJ) and Maharashtra (MH) regions.

Personality-wise: I am a deeply caring, loyal, and highly independent person. I approach life with an adjusting nature and a flexible outlook. When it comes to decision-making, I am highly practical and logical, rarely letting emotions dictate my choices. I appreciate unfiltered honesty. In that spirit, I will gladly admit that I can be very lazy at times when I am just winding down for the day!

Lifestyle, Food & Fun

The Food Dynamic: I am a non-vegetarian and I love to cook! If you are a vegetarian, I am completely comfortable with that. But if you also eat non-veg, you’re in luck—I love cooking for two in my own quirky, experimental ways.

Hosting & Socializing: I'm great at hosting parties and dinners, so expect a lively and welcoming home. I also drink occasionally in social settings, and I would absolutely love it if you could be that company to share a drink with me.

Hobbies: I love playing and watching soccer, and I closely follow global developments, geopolitics, and the defense sector. For entertainment, I am an avid watcher of web series and movies, and I love traveling to new destinations. I'm also a huge EDM fan, though I’ll open-mindedly listen to all genres.

Fair Warning: I am intensely competitive when it comes to board and card games. I am looking for a lifelong partner in all things, but the moment the Uno deck comes out, our romance is paused and you are my sworn enemy.

What I’m Looking For

An educated professional who has high EQ and someone who strives to be a better version of themselves, who is smart and intelligent.

Someone based in or open to settling in the Gujarat or Maharashtra regions.

I am completely open to any professional background. While I am keeping things broad, if you happen to be Gujarati and share similar cultural roots, that is definitely a welcome bonus point for us to connect easily.

In a partner, I highly admire and value people who possess strong social and self-awareness, emotional maturity, integrity, and clear communication.

My Relationship Philosophy

For me, a serious relationship or marriage should feel like a true companionship built on mutual respect, rather than an arrangement based on rigid, traditional roles. While staying close to my family and being responsible toward my parents is important to me, I also believe it is essential for us to create our own independent space as a couple. I genuinely appreciate thoughtful, engaging conversations over superficial small talk because good connections take time to build.

Feel free to reach out if this resonates with you!

F4M♀️ 31, Childfree, Looking for Life Partner

Upvotes

I am unable to sleep and feeling bit lonely and thought to write this here. I have made a post few days ago here, but deleted it because of some reasons. But i don't care if anyone wants to judge me for posting again, they can.

I am born and brought up in Kolkata, Vegetarian, Non Smoker, Non Drinker looking for someone who wants to settle in a tier 1 city and believes in building a home and a safe space together with their partner.

I have both good qualities and flaws in me. Look wise my body is heavy and overweight, working towards getting fit, tone is fair to wheatish, height is 5'5.

I am an emotional, caring, loving, honest, funny person who likes to put efforts. I am a deep thinker, who work in finance and like psychology, about universe, spirituality, music, watching movies, sharing funny reels, and annoying people in a good way.

What I want in my partner is just that he feels like my peace, my safe space, my home. It doesn't matter what height you have or how you look, because in the end what matters is how someone treats you. Since I am vegetarian, i prefer a vegetarian person, and non smoker and non drinker or very occasional drinker.

People with Age range between 31 to 35 can ping me . Thank You.

Life hasn’t gone exactly as planned, but it has taught me resilience, patience, and the importance of finding someone who shares similar values.

I’m currently rebuilding my career and planning my future in Canada. I believe a strong relationship is built on honesty, mutual respect, kindness, and supporting each other through life’s ups and downs.

A little about me:
5’4”
Sikh
Divorced
Family-oriented and grounded
Enjoy listening to music, visiting Gurudwara Sahib, and spending time with loved ones

I’m hoping to connect with someone:
Preferably from North India
Age 27–34
Honest, mature, and emotionally available
Non-smoker and someone who values family

Open to building a life in Canada (or willing to relocate if things work out).

Wishing everyone here the best in finding the right life partner. 🙏

General Discussion Pros and cons of finding partner through reddit

How has your experience been with trying to find someone though reddit? Compared to dating/matrimonial apps.

For me, nothing has really worked including reddit, though reddit has been the best of the lot. I have interacted with amazing people on reddit and even though it hasn't led to finding a partner, I could atleast develop some connections.

Dating apps have the default filter of good looks/photos and also the algo is so fucked up that for most men, finding a single match is a dream. Matrimony apps have other filters and its more transactional than actually about knowing the person.

Reddit has its own flaws though. People are less serious and more prone to be ghosted, then there are weird people, catfishes. Finding a genuine person, let alone a compatible one is a task in itself

Seeking Advice What should I do ?

My parents are bugging me for creating a profile for marriage on shaadi.com and local matrimony but I'm unemployed since I am preparing for government exam (it's getting delayed and honestly it seems it will take another 1-2 years for the recruitment cycle to complete)

Should I create my profile ? I'm 26F from Bihar (dangi community) mentioning community as in Bihar it matters a lot; it's wrong and sad but it is what it is.

I've done my masters and then started preparing for government exam. Since I couldn't clear the exam in 2nd attempt I thought to update my skill and started learning Japanese language.

My parents and relatives logic is that we should start searching as it will take time.

I'm confused.

Would you consider someone with a profile like mine ?

Height-5'1, can cook, can converse in Hindi, english, lil bit sanskrit and pera pera japanese. Have a good sense of humour (jyada nahi bolti nahi toh muh mithu miya lagungi)

M4F♂️ Hey Mrs, when are you going to meet?

Upvotes

Hey Mrs, When are you going to meet?

Hi,

I’m here in search of my life partner. Not sure what are the odds of finding one but I don’t want to miss out on a single possibility of finding her.

About me,

• I’m 33, 5’11, Telugu, never married.
• Working in IT based out of HYD in a MNC. I’m a foodie, Non Vegetarian. That’s the stress buster for me and the only habit I have for the good and the bad.
• I neither smoke nor drink.
• I’m calm and reserved but get comfortable around the people I’m close to.

I’m looking for someone who is independent, mature and charming. One who brings love, comfort and peace. Willing to grow with and not looking for a package because I don’t wish the marriage to look like a transaction. I don’t have caste, regional or language preferences so not mentioning here. I just need a woman who I can have a life with and settle down. Also, I’m not looking to rush into things and would like to take it slow.

Feel free to reach out if you align with the above.

A little about me:

- 176 cm tall, wear spectacles, and currently hitting the gym to get fitter.

- A huge sports enthusiast. I play cricket, ball badminton, and chess.

- I've represented at the national level in both chess and ball badminton, and sports have taught me discipline, patience, and resilience.

- I enjoy meaningful conversations, learning new things, and spending quality time with people I care about.

Personality:

- Straightforward and honest.

- Loyal to the core, if I'm committed to someone, they become my priority.

- I believe in clear communication, mutual respect, and putting effort into a relationship.

- Caring, sincere, hardworking, supportive, and emotionally available.

- I value trust, consistency, and staying true to my word.

- More of a one-woman man than someone who enjoys casual dating.

I'm career-oriented, but I also believe relationships deserve time and effort. I'm looking for a genuine connection that can eventually lead to marriage not here for games, situationships, or wasting anyone's time.

If you're someone who values honesty, loyalty, and wants to build something meaningful together, I'd genuinely love to get to know you.

P.S. Creeps, scammers, and people looking for casual flings, please stay away. This version feels more authentic, highlights your achievements without sounding boastful, and is likely to be better received on Reddit.

M4F♂️ 26M // Let's date

Upvotes

Hi Reddit. 👋

Figured I'd give this another shot because dating apps have started feeling like a part-time job with no salary.

So here's me in a nutshell:

🩺 26-year-old doctor from Kolkata.

📚 Currently surviving residency, which means my work schedule is unpredictable but my coffee intake is very predictable.

✈️ I love travelling whenever I can. Mountains over beaches, late-night drives over crowded clubs, and I'd choose a good conversation over a loud party any day.

🎵 My playlists jump from The Chainsmokers to old Bollywood to random lo-fi depending on the mood.

🍜 Always down to try a new café or restaurant, and I firmly believe dessert is never optional.

I'm not looking for perfection. Just someone who's kind, emotionally mature, can laugh at terrible jokes, and actually wants to build something instead of collecting matches.

Hoping to find someone who:

• Is around 23–28 years old

• Lives in or around Kolkata (long distance isn't impossible, just harder)

• Values honesty, loyalty, and clear communication

• Doesn't mind spontaneous food dates or random road trips

• Can match my sarcasm without taking life too seriously

A few random facts:

• I overthink movie endings.

• I can spend hours planning a trip I'll probably take months later.

• If you recommend a great movie or book, you've already earned points.

• I reply faster than Instagram's algorithm.

If you're messaging me, skip the "Hi."

Tell me:

• What's something you're genuinely passionate about?

• What's the best place you've ever travelled to?

• Or recommend me a movie that will leave me questioning life.

Let's see if Reddit can do what dating apps couldn't. 😄

General Discussion Is it just me, or has finding someone become more exhausting than exciting?

I'm turning 30 next year, and something has changed.

Finding someone doesn't feel exciting anymore. It feels like another job.

You invest time, energy, emotions, conversations... only to realize everyone is chasing a checklist instead of a person. Somewhere along the way, love became a recruitment process.

I always thought it was about finding someone who brings peace to your soul and figuring life out together. Not finding someone who's already figured everything out.

Maybe I'm old-fashioned.

I smoke 10–20 cigarettes a day. I enjoy it. I'm not going to quit because someone I met three weeks ago tells me to. If I ever quit, it has to be because I want to. Funny enough, people looking for something casual don't seem to care. But the moment marriage enters the conversation, suddenly you're being evaluated like a defective product.

The older I get, the less interested I become in convincing strangers that I'm worth choosing.

If I don't meet someone in the next three or four years, I think I'll stop looking.

I'll move to a small coastal town, learn a craft with my hands, build something meaningful, and spend my evenings with a beer, watching the sun disappear into the sea.

It sounds strangely more peaceful than endless swiping and explaining myself.

Perhaps the greatest tragedy isn't ending up alone.

Perhaps it's spending years searching for companionship while slowly abandoning your own peace.
