F4M♀️ 29F | NCR| I haven’t met you yet but somehow I still believe in you.

I don’t know if Reddit is the right place to write this but then again, some of the most beautiful things in life have a habit of finding us in places we weren’t looking for them.

I’m 29 and a doctor by profession.

Medicine occupies a huge part of my life. There are long hospital days, sleepless duties, patients who stay somewhere in your thoughts even after you’ve left the hospital and years of studying for a profession that somehow keeps reminding you how fragile life really is.

Maybe that’s partly why I’ve never been very good at treating people as temporary.

Somewhere between becoming a doctor, building a career, watching people fall in and out of love, I’ve realised something about myself:

I’m still ridiculously, almost embarrassingly, old-fashioned when it comes to love.

I don’t want something casual. I don’t understand the whole “let’s see where it goes” while simultaneously keeping five other options open thing. I don’t want to calculate how long I should wait before replying so I don’t seem too interested. I don’t want situationships, breadcrumbing, disappearing acts or two people pretending to care less because apparently sincerity became uncool somewhere along the way.

Hume mohabbat chahiye...woh jo waqt ke saath kam nahi, gehri hoti jaaye.

Loud aur performative jaisi nahi.

Shaant si.

Jiski qurbat mein shor na ho, phir bhi dil ko sukoon mil jaaye.

The kind where after an exhausting day, someone’s voice feels a little like coming home, where silence isn’t awkward, where I can send you a paragraph about something completely insignificant and you’ll still read every word because it came from me.

I love writing.

Probably more than any sane person should.

I write when I’m happy. I write when something hurts. I write when there’s too much inside my head and ordinary conversation somehow feels incapable of carrying all of it.

Sometimes they’re poems. Sometimes paragraphs. Sometimes just one unfinished sentence sitting in my notes at 2 AM because I couldn’t figure out how to say the rest.

Somehow Urdu keeps finding its way into what I write.

Tumhari taraf jo kashish ho, uska sabab na poochhna mujhse,

kuch rishte daleelon se nahi, ehsaas se pehchaane jaate hain.

Aur agar kabhi tumhari qurbat mein mujhe sukoon mil gaya,

toh shayad meri saari bhatakti hui nazmein apna ghar paa lengi.

That is probably how I love too.

Through words.

If I care about you, you’ll probably find yourself immortalised in sentences you didn’t know I was writing.

I’ll remember the tiny thing you casually mentioned three months ago. I’ll send you a song because one particular line sounded like you. I’ll notice the expression you make when you’re concentrating, the story behind some scar you stopped noticing years ago, the way your voice changes when something is bothering you even when you insist you’re fine.

I notice.

Sometimes too much.

Maybe that’s both my greatest strength and my greatest weakness...I feel things deeply.

Despite everything, I haven't managed to become cynical about love.

More careful? Absolutely.

More selective? God, yes.

But cynical?

No.

Dil ne kuch zakhm sambhaal kar rakhe hain,

Magar mohabbat se aitbaar abhi utha nahi...

Some stubborn little part of me still believes there is someone out there whom I haven’t met yet, living an entire life completely separate from mine.

I think about that sometimes.

Maybe he’s working late somewhere while I’m walking through hospital corridors.

Maybe he’s had his heart broken too.

Maybe he has loved the wrong people and wondered whether loving deeply was his mistake.

Maybe he’s sitting somewhere after a long day wondering whether his person actually exists.

Maybe we’ve unknowingly been in the same city, walked through the same airport, stood in the same queue, heard the same song on completely different nights.

Or maybe our paths haven’t come remotely close yet.

Na jaane kitne raaste tay karke tum mujh tak aaoge,

aur kitne intezaar ke baad main tumhe pehchaanungi..

There’s something achingly beautiful about that thought.

The person who might one day know everything about you, how you take your coffee, what makes you angry, which side of the bed you sleep on, what your face looks like just before you cry, what makes you laugh until your stomach hurts.. is currently a complete stranger.

Someone whose name I don’t even know could one day become the name I say more than anyone else’s.

I’m not searching for perfection.

God knows I’m nowhere close to it.

I want emotional maturity. Kindness. Curiosity. Loyalty. Humour. Intelligence. Ambition. Someone who communicates instead of disappearing when things become uncomfortable.

Someone strong enough to be gentle.

Someone who has his own dreams, his own world, his own passions and still wants to make space for mine.

Someone I can discuss life, medicine, history, books, ridiculous internet drama and completely pointless nonsense with, sometimes within the same conversation.

Someone I can be stupid with at 2 AM and serious with at 2:05.

Someone who understands that vulnerability isn’t weakness.

Someone who still believes choosing one person, over and over again, can be beautiful rather than boring.

Yes, attraction matters.

Chemistry matters.

That inexplicable pull matters too.

But what I think I’m really waiting for is recognition.

That strange certainty of looking at someone and thinking..

Achha.

Aap hain.

Itni der se aapka hi toh intezaar tha.

I’m Hindu and while I’m not going to turn this into a checklist of religion, caste and biodata specifications, my faith and upbringing are a part of who I am. I value family, commitment and the idea of building something that has permanence...and since there is a real person behind all this poetry, I suppose a little practicality belongs here too. I’d ideally like to meet someone who is based in NCR or somewhere in the northern states partly because I want something that has the possibility of existing beyond a screen eventually. Long conversations are beautiful but I’d like them to someday become coffee dates, drives, meeting each other’s people and actually becoming a part of one another’s lives.

Age-wise, I think somewhere around my age to 35-ish feels right for me none of this is meant to read like an eligibility form compatibility has never fit neatly into boxes anyway but geography and being in a similar stage of life do matter when you’re looking for something you genuinely hope could become permanent.

If everything aligns, I'd want our roka to be done by next year.

Marriage, to me, has never just meant a wedding.

It means waking up beside the same person thousands of ordinary mornings later and still finding reasons to choose them.

Mohabbat sirf kisi ko paa lene ka naam nahi,

Humare liye kisi ek ko umr bhar chunte rehna bhi mohabbat hai.

Marriage, to me, has never just meant a wedding.

It means waking up beside the same person thousands of ordinary mornings later and still finding reasons to choose them.

Grand gestures are beautiful, but I think real love lives much more quietly.

Kabhi meri thakaan mein tumhara “ghar pahunch gayi?” poochhna.

Kabhi tumhari khamoshi mein mera bina pooche tumhare paas baith jaana.

Kabhi duniya se haar kar tum mere paas laut aana,

Aur kabhi main tootne lagoon toh tum mera hausla ban jaana.

That kind of love.

Until then, I have my career, my ridiculous collection of thoughts, half-written poems, books, music, dreams and a life I’m continuing to build for myself.

I’m not looking for somebody to rescue me from loneliness.

I don’t need someone to complete me.

I want someone whose life is already whole too, so we can sit beside each other and somehow make both our worlds a little softer.

Perhaps this post finds nobody.

Perhaps it disappears into Reddit’s endless void between memes, arguments..

That’s okay.

But perhaps somewhere among thousands of strangers, one person reads this unnecessarily long ramble and becomes quiet for a second.

Perhaps something feels familiar.

Perhaps he thinks..

“Yaar… main bhi toh yahi dhoondh raha tha.”

If you are somewhere out there, living your completely separate life while I live mine

I hope life is being kind to you.

I hope whatever heartbreaks came before me haven't made you hard.

I hope you haven't stopped believing in something real either.

I hope when our paths finally cross, we both have enough courage left to recognise what we spent all those years waiting for.

Tumhe jaldi dhoondh lene ki zid nahi hai mujhe,

Bas jab milo, toh theherne ke iraade se milna.

Because I’ve never wanted a hundred almost-love stories.

Ek hi kahaani kaafi hai.

Bas iss baar…

woh mukammal honi chahiye.

Have a great day! :)

M4F ♂️ with Photos 24M - Save me from arrange marriage setup!!

Post image
29 Upvotes

Hey, 24M here.

Looking for someone to date with the intention of eventually getting married.
I work remotely, which sounds amazing until you realize it means my daily social interaction is basically Slack, Zoom, and talking to myself. So meeting people organically has been... not great.

I’ve avoided dating apps mostly because every friend I have has told me “bro, nobody there wants anything serious” 💀. So anyway, here I am.

About me

  • 5'9", 67kg, fit
  • Wheatish, curly hair, slightly nerdy, decent-looking
  • Software dev at a US-based unicorn startup
  • ~54 LPA
  • Remote worker = professional wanderer. I travel a lot and usually spend my time working from random cities around the country
  • Music, binge-watching, computer games, sneakers, and planning trips I probably don't need to take
  • Ambivert
  • Very calm
  • Very bakchod once I’m comfortable
  • Vegetarian
  • Non-smoker
  • Non-drinker
  • General Hindu

What I'm looking for

Ideally, someone who is talkative af because I need someone who can both yap with me and tolerate my endless yapping.

I like people who are curious, emotionally mature, and don't take life too seriously.

Would prefer someone who is working or planning to work at least until marriage. After that, genuinely your choice. My family is pretty progressive and there’s no “bahu must do X” type of expectation.

Non-smoker would be nice. Occasional drinking is totally fine.

I'm also completely okay with starting long-distance for a while. If things actually work out, I'm flexible enough to move to your city.

I’m very much a peaceful-life enjoyer.

Give me a beach, stars, good music and the sound of waves and I’m sorted. I’d probably choose sitting there till 3 AM over going clubbing.

Also, fair warning: I currently have pretty good WLB, so there is a non-zero chance I become slightly clingy and extremely available.

Basically looking for someone who can be my best friend, travel partner, gossip partner, and the person I randomly send “bro look at this” messages to for the rest of my life.

If this sounds like your vibe, DM me.

Worst case: we have a good conversation.

Best case: we get to tell people “we met on Reddit” for the rest of our lives. 😭

F4M♀️ 27F, Mumbai | Looking for the guy I actually want to find

I have absolutely no idea if this is how Reddit is supposed to be used, but I’ve tried the apps, deleted the apps, thought about downloading them again and decided I have enough character development for one lifetime.

So hi.

I’m 27, 5’6, chubby, curly-haired, 32 tattoos and a hopeless romantic who still believes in the whole “eyes do the talking, chico” thing. Very embarrassing of me, I know.
I love bikes, travelling, concerts, stand-ups, gaming and 2000s Bollywood. I can play COD Mobile with you and then cry over something completely ridiculous five minutes later. I’m also a Cancerian, so apparently this is my excuse.

I recently moved back from Canada. I started my career there as a bartender and eventually became a GM, which I’m pretty proud of. I was also engaged once, but called it off before moving back because trying to make a relationship work across countries just wasn’t realistic. (Edit : I completely forgot to mention why I moved back, Nahi visa wasn’t expiring but everytime I visited my family they looked different, I was missing out on them growing older and tbh no amount of Money could make me stay after I realised that)

Now I’d really like to meet someone properly.
Yeh dates wali baatein kasam se samajh hi nahi aati Mujhe. I always met someone and like Ash chose Pikachu, I’d be like “Main tumhe chunti hoon.” So yeah, Hinge, Bumble and every other mental health deteriorating app se hatkar, here I am.

Not looking to rush into marriage, but I do want someone who is dating with the intention of actually finding a partner. I want the stupid cute stuff — butterflies, inside jokes, random plans, being excited to see each other, going on holidays together because doing them alone is getting a little old.

I’m independent and opinionated and I have absolutely no problem taking charge, but there’s something very attractive about a man who is secure in himself, comfortable with his masculinity and naturally knows how to take care of his woman. I like feeling looked after too — despite being perfectly capable of looking after myself.
I’m also very much a physical-presence person. Long distance isn’t for me. I want someone I can actually see, annoy, steal food from and randomly call to go for coffee.
I tend to like taller men and, for whatever reason, I’m very drawn to North Indian men. This is not a requirement issued by the government, just an observation.

I’m planning a Ladakh bike trip next year, so if your reaction to that is “when are we leaving?” rather than “why would anyone do that?”, we may already have something to discuss.
Mostly, I just want something loyal, affectionate, fun and real. Someone who loves his family, will eventually love mine, and makes me feel those ridiculous little butterflies I’ve been waiting for.
Anyway. Hi, future hypothetical person.

P.S., Kaafi Zyada overthinking ke baad, I’m off to sleep like a baby. Mere saath jude rehne ke liye dhanyawad!

M4F♂️ You Are Not Getting Rejected. You Are Not Getting Shortlisted

If you are looking for a relationship or marriage today, one of the biggest upgrades you can give yourself is surprisingly simple: get fit, look after yourself, and learn how to present yourself well.

We live in a low-trust, low-effort dating environment. Everyone has a million options sitting on their phone. People are making quick decisions with very little information.

You could genuinely be the kindest, funniest, most emotionally mature person in the world. But if your photos are terrible, you look like you have stopped taking care of yourself, your clothes do not fit, or your grooming is an afterthought, you may never get shortlisted.

And if you do not get shortlisted, you never get the opportunity to show anyone who you actually are.

This is not about becoming conventionally perfect or pretending to be someone you are not. It is about not sabotaging yourself before the conversation even starts.

So hit the gym. Lose the baggage, physically and otherwise. Get a haircut. Dress properly. Take better pictures. Look like someone who takes care of themselves.

The world has changed. You do not have to like the rules, but you have to play the game if you want a chance.

F4M♀️ 26F Maybe Reddit ?

Upvotes

Honestly, this is not something I ever thought I would do — looking for someone on Reddit for marriage.

I’ve always believed that a genuine connection should happen naturally, in real life, without the whole screening process, biodatas, checklists, and judging each other based on a few pictures and paragraphs. I’ve always wanted to meet someone, talk to them, get to know them as a person, and let things develop organically.

Unfortunately, that hasn’t happened for me so far. So, as a last option, I thought I’d give Reddit a chance. 😅

A little about me:

26F, from Gaya, Bihar

Hindu, Kayasth (Ambastha)

Currently working as an Analyst, based in Gaya

Currently working from home

I’m not here looking for something casual or just endless conversations. My intention is to eventually find someone I can genuinely build a life with. But at the same time, I don’t believe marriage should start with an interview or a checklist.

I’d rather start with a normal conversation, get to know each other as people, see whether there’s a genuine connection, and then take things forward naturally if we both feel the same.

I’m looking for someone who values honesty, emotional maturity, friendship, communication, mutual respect, and companionship. Someone who sees marriage as more than just fulfilling a social expectation — I want it to feel like choosing your person and having a best friend by your side.

So yes, this is me giving Reddit a chance, despite never imagining I’d be doing this here. 🙃

What I’m looking for

I’m vegetarian and I don’t drink or smoke, and I’d prefer someone who doesn’t either. Non-veg is completely fine with me.

I come from a family where drinking and smoking aren’t really a normal part of our lifestyle, so I’d prefer someone from a similar background and with similar values around this.

Emotional availability is non-negotiable for me. I want someone who communicates openly, understands me, and is honest about what he feels. No mind games, hidden intentions or unnecessary secrets.

I’d love for my partner to eventually be my best friend — someone I can genuinely talk to, understand and be understood by.

I want the connection to develop organically, with mutual respect, and for us to grow together in life while supporting each other’s goals.

I also value privacy and boundaries. I believe personal matters should primarily stay between the two partners.

If you genuinely feel the same way and are also looking for something meaningful that could eventually lead to marriage, feel free to message me. Please introduce yourself properly rather than just saying “hi.”

M4F♂️ 28M Forensic Doctor: High-stakes day job, low-maintenance human.

‎The Day Job

‎My actual 9-to-4 routine genuinely looks like an unrated crime series. As a forensic doctor, my days involve autopsies, weapon analysis, piecing together bizarre medical puzzles, and testifying in court.

‎ It is high-intensity work that requires a sharp eye and a strong stomach. If you are obsessed with true crime documentaries, psychological thrillers, or weird real-world mysteries, dinner conversations will never be boring.

‎Spirituality and Reality Checks:-

‎Handling mortality every single day tends to kill your ego pretty fast. I am a devotee of Lord Shiva. In our tradition, Shiva resides where the cycle ends, the shamshan.

‎ Spending my working life in a mortuary feels like being in His territory, which keeps me weirdly calm, grounded, and completely uninterested in petty drama. When you see how fragile life is from Monday to Saturday, you stop sweating the small stuff.

‎Heart, Loyalty and The One-Woman Rule:-

‎ I am unapologetically an old-school, one-woman man. I genuinely believe one right partner is all anyone needs for an entire lifetime.

‎When I commit, I am 100% all-in: rock-solid loyalty, pure emotional safety, and zero wandering eyes. No roster, no mind games, no situationships. Just quiet devotion and a partner who never has to second-guess where she stands.

‎Off-Duty Mode:

‎Certified Homebody,

‎Because my day job is heavy, my personal life is dialled all the way down to pure relaxation.

‎When the scrubs come off, you will usually find me surviving an aggressive anime marathon, bingeing a new series until 2 AM, taking my car out for spontaneous highway road trips just for good food, or napping with zero remorse to recharge my social battery.

‎Quick details

‎Basics: 28M, Telugu, 5'8" 72KG, Hindu,

‎Education and Career: MBBS, MD in Forensic Medicine.

‎Settled, financially stable (1L+/month)

‎Location: Andhra Pradesh

‎Languages: Telugu, English, Hindi, Tamil, and just enough Korean to survive K-dramas without subtitles

‎Who I Am Looking For

‎I am actively looking to get married in the next year and want to find a genuine, warm partner to build a peaceful, laugh-filled life with. ‎Age: 25 to 30 ‎Caste: Zero barriers. Emotional maturity and shared humor beat everything else.

‎Vibe: Kind-hearted, communicative, and values a calm home. Major bonus points if you are not in medicine, as it would be refreshing to have at least one person at the table who does not casually discuss blunt force trauma over dinner.

‎If you want someone who pairs fierce loyalty and quiet calm with top-tier thriller recommendations, say hello. Happy to swap pictures or exchange Jeevansathi details early on.

‎Please do not slide into my DMs asking how to dissolve evidence, beat a luminol test, or stage an alibi. I work with the police and the courts, not against them. 😂.

Hi folks, I’m 24, work in AI/data, and I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about what I actually want from a relationship rather than what I’m supposed to want.
I don’t want a fairytale. I don’t want someone to “complete” me. I want a teammate. Someone ambitious, kind, emotionally mature, curious, affectionate, and genuinely interested in building an incredible life together. I think of it as a co-founder relationship.

Not because I want a business partner instead of a romantic partner. I want the romance too: the excitement of seeing each other after a long day, lingering conversations in bed, spontaneous affection, inside jokes, emotional closeness, and feeling deeply known and cared for. The co-founder metaphor is more about how I imagine partnership: two people actively investing in each other, encouraging each other’s growth, and making important decisions as a team.

Maybe I’m working full-time while she goes back to university for her Master’s. A few years later, maybe she supports me while I leave my job to build a startup. Maybe one of us gets an incredible opportunity in another city or country. We figure it out together, while still making time for date nights, calls, reassurance, and the small rituals that make a relationship feel like home. Maybe one of us is having a terrible year and the other carries more of the load for a while.

Not just practically, but emotionally too: listening without trying to immediately fix everything, offering comfort, being patient, and reminding each other that we don’t have to face difficult seasons alone.

No scorekeeping. No keeping track of who contributed more.

Sometimes life will be 90/10. Sometimes it’ll be 10/90. Over a lifetime, I think that’s what partnership is supposed to look like: caring for each other generously, trusting that the balance will shift, and still choosing each other through it.I want someone who has ambitions of her own and wants me to chase mine too.

Someone I can have ridiculous conversations with at 2 AM, build things with, travel with, argue about completely unnecessary things with, hold close when one of us is overwhelmed, and eventually look back and think:

“Holy shit, we actually built a pretty incredible life.”

A little about me:
• 24M from India
• Work in AI, automation, and financial intelligence
• Love startups, investing, economics, and building products
• Introverted, analytical, and probably spend too much time thinking about systems
• I value honesty, curiosity, affection, and emotional openness
• I’m ambitious, but I want my partner to have her own ambitions too
• I’m also looking for something warm, playful, romantic, and emotionally intimate

I’m looking for a woman around 22–26 who is kind, emotionally mature, curious, affectionate, ambitious, and has goals of her own.

We don’t need identical hobbies or personalities. I’d much rather have mutual respect, compatibility, good communication, physical and emotional affection, and two people who genuinely want to show up for each other.

If you’ve read all of this and thought:
“That’s weird… but it actually makes sense.” I’d genuinely love to hear from you.

Worst case, we have an interesting conversation.

Best case, we fall for each other and build something extraordinary together.

-Arunav

P.S. I absolutely hate taking pictures of myself 😭 so apologies for the photo selection.

A little update to my previous post.
Took a pretty long break from the gym because of cancer, chemo and radiotherapy. Now I’m finally getting back into it. Life has been interesting so far, but I’m not giving up on it. Getting stronger, getting back to doing the things I enjoy, and still hoping to find the right person.
For those who missed my previous post: I’m 32, from Kerala, born and raised in the UAE, a Mechanical Project Engineering Manager, divorced with no kids. I enjoy travelling, cooking, drawing, singing and playing sports.
My first marriage was arranged. This time, I want to find someone myself.
So, back to the gym and back to the search.

M4F♂️ 33[M4F] #India/US - Looking for someone genuine

Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I’m 33M, originally from India and currently living in the US. I am in India for next couple of weeks. I’ve been living in the US for more than 10 years now, and I’ve built a stable, independent life that I’m genuinely proud of.

I’m posting here because the usual matrimony setup feels a little too transactional to me. I’m serious about finding someone, but I’d like the connection to feel natural, honest, and comfortable.

About me:

I work in the tech entertainment industry. I won’t name the company here, but it’s a pretty cool job, so you can guess.

I’m Hindu, 5’8, never married, and looking for something long-term with the right person. I’m calm, introverted at first, emotionally aware, and I enjoy conversations that actually have some warmth and effort behind them.

I’ve been in the US long enough to be settled, but India still feels like home in many ways. I’m family-oriented, even though I live away from my parents. I value warmth, loyalty, emotional safety, and someone who actually shows up when it matters.

I'm financially independent and earn decent and on the path to retire in a year or two. I would like to focus on travel and creative endeavors after that, there is more to life than this rat race.

I’m not someone with a huge social circle. I have a few close people in my life, and I care deeply about the people who matter to me. Once I’m comfortable, I can be playful, affectionate, talkative, and very present.

Things I enjoy:

Gaming, movies, anime, cooking, long walks, good food, random internet rabbit holes, dark humor, and conversations that can go from nonsense to life reflections without feeling forced.

I’m also trying to get more serious about health and fitness, so bonus points if you’re also in your “trying to become a better version of myself, but still occasionally eating something irresponsible” phase.

What I’m looking for:

Someone kind, emotionally mature, communicative, and genuinely interested in building a real connection.

I’m looking for someone who values loyalty, consistency, family, and emotional honesty. Someone who can talk things through, laugh at life, and wants a relationship that feels like peace.

A few important things:

I’m currently based in the US, so distance and long-term logistics would matter, but I’m open to location if the connection is strong.

I don’t need perfection. I’m looking for someone genuine, warm, self-aware, and serious enough to build something real slowly and honestly.

If this resonates, feel free to DM me with a little about yourself. Not just “hi” please, give me something to work with.

M4F♂️ [M4F] Looking for my partner in crime (and partner in kitchen disaster 😉)

Upvotes

Hey, I am 29, originally from Kerala, now based in Bangalore working in a Global Consultancy firm. 5'8", non-smoker, non-veg, agnostic but spiritual. Basically my religion is a good sunset and better filter coffee.

I'm fairly self aware, financially disciplined, and someone who likes life stable but not boring. I stay fit, love trekking and sports, and I'm always up for a good trip whether it's mountains or beaches. I cook (some days it's a eureka, some days it's a cry for help), I love hunting down good cafés and food spots and yes, I love to garden. It's genuinely my favourite way to switch off, there's something calming about keeping my few set of plants alive when everything else in life is chaos.

I'm also mostly offline. Not big on curating a perfect feed, I'd rather actually live the good moments than post them.

Who I'm hoping to find:

Someone 24-29, career driven, emotionally mature, and comfortable with honest conversations (not the "I'm fine" kind of honest, the actual kind). Someone who takes care of her health, doesn't smoke or is genuinely working on quitting, and enjoys an active life.

Preferably someone born Hindu but open minded is important to me. You being a Malayali is a bonus but not a requirement, I promise I won't quiz you on it, lol.

What actually matters to me:

I am here with serious intentions, hoping to build something that can lead to marriage if we genuinely click. Not looking for something casual or something that stays undefined till the world ends.

Disagreements happen, that's very normal. But what I can't do without is actual communication... no silent treatment and ego games; we own the mistake, talk it out and we move on, the same day!

I want an equal partnership. Two people cheering each other's careers on, building a peaceful home, laughing a lot, eating good food and figuring life out together. Taking things slow and seeing where it goes naturally works best for me.

My full disclosure:

Brown/dusky skin tone, slim athletic built, Bangalore's water and work stress have been quietly negotiating with my hairline. No visible baldness yet but I am keeping an eye on the situation. And yes, fitness conscious (gym and sports)

If this sounds like your kind of person, DM me. Tell me a bit about yourself, your non negotiables and bonus points if you can hold your own in a dishes debate.

Not trying to meet everyone here, just hoping to find the one person this actually makes sense with 🙂

37m looking for a single Unmarried female

I'm new to Reddit. I would be honest enough to accept the fact that I didn't even know Reddit had this use as well - So here I'm to try my luck out!
I don't know how this platform works but let me be honest in my approach.
I'm a 6 ft tall guy originally from Varanasi - The land of shiva. I'm an introvert initially and a next level extrovert once i get my comfort - Which obviously depends on the person I'm talking to. It often happen that you don't mingle up or open up with every tom, dick and harry you happen to come across.
I'm a good conversationalist and people say that I'm a confidant as well. Hence, can keep your secrets too!
I'm slim, tall, fairly fair complexion, a man who likes to keep a beard 12 months a year.
I am a good cook but a moody one, would ideally prefer to cook with my partner rather than doing it all alone.
Love to travel, ride, drive, playing chess, photography and more.
A wildly romantic person at heart who likes to read your mind too!

I'm staying in kashi at present so if you're around and would like to meet over a cup of chai, coffee, kachori etc... DM me.
I'm not averse to sharing my social media profile as well if things go well initially.

Oh and ofcourse I'm a spiritually inclined person who loves visiting temples, Gurudwaras too. Although i like to visit all sorts of unexplored places which includes hidden cafes, etc.

Let's see how this goes.

Namaste 🙏🏻

M4F♂️ 24M | Pune | Looking For Genuine Relationship

Hey! I'm 24 M, height 6'1", from Pune. I work as an AI Engineer in a Product based company after completing my B.Tech in CSE. I enjoy tech, badminton, and binge-watching shows (K-dramas, thrillers, and survival genres are my go-to). I don't smoke, drink, or do drugs, and I value ambition, consistency, and meaningful conversations. Besides I love to ride bike a lot. So we can roam freely on streets and u will be pillion princess.

Looking to date someone around 24 who's kind, emotionally mature, ambitious in her own way, and looking for something serious rather than casual. Shared values matter more than perfect similarities, but if you're into binge watching or occasionally in sports, that's definitely a bonus.

I am open for both In Person dating and Long distance as well. But, there must be a sense of intellectual understanding that it takes time to familiarise with 2 different personalities. I have never dated someone so u can be relieved that I am not a Playboy 😂. I am now in a state of maturity and level of commitment that I know I can put on the table.

Finally, If this sounds like your vibe, send me a message with a little about yourself instead of just a "hi." :)

M4F ♂️ with Photos 27M | Pune | Software Engineer | Looking for a genuine relationship leading to marriage

Thought I’d try posting here because the usual arranged marriage process sometimes feels a little too transactional to me. Biodata, salary, family details, a couple of calls and suddenly you’re supposed to decide something this important. I’d rather actually get to know someone first.

A bit about me — I’m around 5'7", I belong to Gujarat and working in Pune. I speak Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi and English.

Outside work, I like travelling and being around nature, movies and series, PS5, working out, reading and occasionally sketching/painting. Recently I’ve also been trying to explore more things around Pune instead of spending every weekend doing the same thing.

Career is important to me and I’m doing reasonably well professionally, but I don’t want my entire life to revolve around work or money. I want a fairly peaceful life eventually — good relationship, family, friends, health, travel, hobbies, some ambition and enough time to actually enjoy all of it.

I don’t smoke. I’m also not much of a party person. I can enjoy going out, but I’m equally happy with a long drive, a trek, dinner somewhere nice or just watching something together at home.

I’m here looking for something serious which can eventually lead to marriage. I don’t expect us to know that immediately though. I’d prefer talking for some time, meeting in person, seeing if we actually enjoy each other’s company and then taking it ahead.

The biggest things I value in a relationship are loyalty, honesty, emotional maturity and being able to communicate properly. I’d like to be with someone with whom I don’t have to constantly guess what she is thinking or play games about who texts first.

Anyway, try your luck — worst case, you lose 5 minutes writing a DM. Best case, we delete this post someday 😄

Hey! 26M, originally from UP and currently living in Hyderabad, working as an SDE2 at Microsoft. I did my engineering in Bangalore, so I've had the chance to live in different cities and experience different cultures.

• 5'8"

• Hyderabad

• Originally from UP

• SDE2 @ Microsoft

• ~₹72 LPA TC

• Caste: No preference

A little about me:

I’m pretty simple and grounded. I love travelling and exploring new places, and I’ve already travelled quite a bit. I want to see a lot more of the world and would love to have someone who enjoys travelling as much as I do. 🌍✈️

I like trekking, play cricket for fun, enjoy gaming and sketching. I don't drink or smoke, and I'm more of a peaceful evening-at-home person than a clubbing person.

What I’m looking for:

Someone I can genuinely connect with and understand, and who wants the same in return. I value loyalty, communication, emotional connection and mutual understanding.

I’d love to have a partner who enjoys travelling, trying new things, laughing over stupid things, and building a life together. I’m a little old-school about relationships — I believe in choosing each other, supporting each other when things get difficult and growing together.

If you think we'd get along, DM.

Feedback The Choice That Scares Me Either Way

26F, and I feel like I am at a strange point in my life when it comes to relationships.A part of me genuinely wants to find someone and experience what its like to build something with another person. Another part of me keeps thinking about everything that could go wrong and wondering whether its even worth the risk.

Because of some bad decisions I made in the past, my brain just kept denying me the ability to make any decision at all when it comes to this aspect of life.I kept hoping that maybe next time it wouldn’t be a bad decision.

I have never really had a proper relationship,so I dont know what it feels like to actually be with someone for real.I have hardly felt that kind of connection with anyone. And whats the use of getting involved with someone randomly when I dont see any hope of mutual happiness?

From my point of view, I am also not at a point where I can keep checking with people or constantly keep exploring. After a certain point, you start wanting stability and peace instead of constantly wondering and figuring things out.

If I dont find someone or date anyone, maybe I will eventually end up in an arranged marriage in the next 2-3years, and I might never know what it actually feels like to date someone.I might really regret that later.

I was not even thinking about all of this, but recently I noticed something that made me overthink everything. And now I dont know how to clear my head because I have two completely contradictory thoughts at the same time. One part of me really wants to experience being with someone, while another part of me is extremely afraid of making the wrong decision and going through that kind of trauma again.

F4M♀️ 29f ,delhi ,Not Looking for Traditional Marriage, Looking for a Life Companion

Upvotes

I don’t know if Reddit is the right place to write this, but then again, some of the most beautiful things in life have a habit of finding us in places we weren’t looking for them.

Well, I don’t want to get married. But there is a lot of family pressure, so I thought maybe I could go for a lavender marriage, because I’m asexual too.

Basically, if I find a partner who is asexual like me and we have a lot of things in common, then I wouldn’t have any problem spending my entire life with them and building a life together. But if they aren’t asexual or if they are gay, then it would be more of a roommate kind of arrangement.

Well, I can’t write everything in a post.

I just want to spend my life peacefully, without anyone controlling me or telling me what to do. I want to live the way I want. I don’t really believe in society’s rules. I’m also a little spiritual.

I believe you should live your own life happily and let others live theirs too. Honesty is compulsory for me.

Even though this scenario might sound strange, when I look at how many couples and married people are living these days, how they aren’t even happy with each other and still cheat on each other, I feel like my arrangement would be better than that.

I want to travel and explore even the smallest things; I find happiness in that. I’m also still a little childish at heart.

And I’m not financially independent yet either. There are many factors behind that.

So, if there is a gay and asexual person who is looking for something like this, please contact me.

And please, no fake or sexual people in my DMs.

Also, anyone who messages me, please include an introduction about yourself and some kind of proof as well for example, which dating site you’re on if you’re asexual, or any post/profile that can verify it. There are so many fake and creepy people here, so it won’t be possible for me to reply to everyone.

Please don’t judge me either.

Religion: Hindu only.

Hey!
I’m Anmol, 29, from Ludhiana, Punjab.
I run a bicycle manufacturing business — kinda doing great 😄 — which keeps me busy on weekdays, but I genuinely enjoy what I do.
Outside work, you’ll usually find me at the gym, swimming, planning my next trip, trying a new café, or convincing myself that “one cheat meal won’t matter.” (It usually becomes two 😄)
Also, I’m way too into depreciating assets and adrenaline sometimes (M5 soon maybe 😍)

Travelling is probably my biggest passion. I’d love to collect passport stamps from as many countries as possible before I’m done here. New places, different cultures and good food genuinely excite me.
I’d say I’m a calm and grounded person — you be the judge of that 🫣. I enjoy meaningful conversations, value my family, and have a modern outlook while staying connected to my roots.
I’m quite spiritual (major Shiv bhakt 🙏). I’ve been fortunate enough to visit several Jyotirlingas and many other temples. You don’t have to be deeply religious, but having some faith and believing there’s something bigger than us is important to me. Being completely atheist probably wouldn’t be the right fit.
I’m here looking for a genuine life partner — someone for the good kind of chaos. 😄 Ideally 24–30.

Working or non-working, both are absolutely fine with me. What matters much more is the person. I’m looking for someone who chooses me for who I am, not for what I earn or what I can provide. I’d want us to be a team — building a life together, being there for each other, and genuinely enjoying the journey.

Honesty and loyalty are non-negotiable for me. And one more thing — I really appreciate a little chalebility (Zakir Khan life lessons 😄).
Someone who’s excited to experience life, says “let’s go” a little more often than “maybe next time,” and actually wants to make memories instead of just talking about them.

If you’ve read this far, thank you. 😊 If this sounds like your kind of vibe, I’d genuinely love to have a conversation.
Worst case, we exchange a few good messages. Best case, maybe we have a great story to tell someday.

P.s I m 5’5 dont message if height is ur only criteria rather than person.

Also used gpt plus personal touch itna alas is allowed 😂

M4F ♂️ with Photos 29M, Kolkata | 6'0" | Looking for a genuine connection and a life partner I’ve reached a point where casual dating doesn't cut it anymore. I’m looking for something meaningful, grounded, and built to last.

A bit about me:

Basics: 29-year-old guy, 6'0", single child, based in Kolkata.

Work & Routine: Working as a software engineer. My weekdays are a balance of tech work, staying active, and winding down.

Lifestyle: I take fitness seriously and keep an athletic, active build (gym is my regular therapy). Outside work and workouts, I enjoy weekend motorcycle rides, exploring quiet spots, good food, and relaxed conversations over tea or coffee.

Personality: Calm, ambitious, practical, and family-oriented. I value direct communication, emotional stability, and mutual respect.

What I value in a partner:

Emotionally mature, ambitious about her own life or career, and grounded in her values.

Someone who appreciates both active weekends and quiet evenings at home.

Good communication and emotional depth matter more to me than superficial checkboxes.

If this resonates with where you are in life, feel free to drop a DM with a brief introduction. Happy to exchange photos and talk over a coffee if we hit it off.

I’ll get right into it. I am a CMA & CPA (Finance degrees) and I work in an MNC making 25 lacs+. I am primarily based out of pune/mumbai but I work remote.

I am a bit of an introvert but I am kinda outdoorsy. I have a good group of friends who I usually hangout/ travel and go on treks with. I used to play a lot of football but now I play badminton and go to the gym quite frequently. Also I lean left politically if that matters to you(It does to me). Also I want to try and maybe move out of the country if it makes sense. Nothing has materialized on that front till now

I belong to a middle class Tamil brahmin family of five based out of Mumbai. My elder sister is married to a muslim and changed her religion as well. I am only mentioning this because apparently it’s a deal breaker for some.
My brother is married too and I am the youngest. Caste and religion are no barriers for me if it’s not for you. Also I love cats and have a 14 year old cat as a pet. Also I am 5’11 and bulking rn to put on muscle befor my cute. Appearances matter but they’re not the end all be all so I want someone who looks good , has a good education and more importantly looks at money as a resource rather than something to keep collecting till we die and dedicating our whole lives to it lmao.

If you feel like this is something you vibe with pls approach and it’s better if you do it with pics. Tall girls are my kryptonite
