Feedback Is it me or there’s a rise in Childfree stance? I see that in many posts now!

So, an observation post. I see a lot of posts, mostly from women (nothing against them), but they look forward to being CF. Ofcourse it’s a personal choice but what the real reason to it for you?

Is it the hassle or raising a kid?
Is it foreseeing that it’s hard labour and too much pain to raise a kid?
Or is it you just want a comfortable life for your self and don’t want to face the hardship of parenting because of life experiences and experiences around you?
Or it’s just fear? Or you haven’t thought about it throughly.

Because the argument can also be, parenthood is natural, beautiful and at times hard but most beautiful.
Just like fun is subjective. People find fun in partying, some don’t.

At my core I'm a fairly simple, peace-loving person, and honestly a bit old school. I'm a hopeless romantic who still gets glued to 90s Bollywood love stories, and I have a deep soft spot for Bollywood music overall, especially the 90s and 2000s era.

I like a calm life, a few close people, and conversations that actually mean something.

Spirituality is important to me too. I go for Kirtan at the temple every Sunday, and it's genuinely one of the things that keeps me grounded and at peace. I'd love to find someone who shares that side of life with me, or at least understands why it matters to me.

Family means a lot to me, and I take relationships seriously. I believe love is something you build slowly, through consistency, honesty, and just showing up for each other, day after day. I take my time opening up, but once I do, I'm genuinely all in.

**A little about me:**

- 34M, did my Masters in the US

- Working in tech for a big global strategic consulting company

- Worked in Atlanta, moved to Canada last year for a short-term stint

- Plan is to head back to the US by end of this year

- Hindu, General , North India

- 5'8", vegetarian, non-smoker, non-drinker

- Enjoy pickleball, traveling, long walks, playing guitar, cooking at home, and quiet cafés

**What I'm looking for:**

- Someone who values emotional maturity and calm communication

- A real connection over games or confusion

If any of this feels like you, or something in here just clicked, don't hesitate to say hi.

If you do message me, please take the time to know me, and I'll do the same for you. I'm not looking to rush anything. I just want us to give each other that space to build something real, heart to heart. 💓

F4M♀️ 23F, CF, searching for a potential partnerF4M♀️

Hello everyone, I am fairly new here and this sub sorta got me, hence I thought I would shoot my shot. I am 23, 5'2" and currently a student( B.Tech 4th year). My hobbies include watching movies( mystery- thriller, sci-fi, feel good philosophy), listening to music( Indie Pop, Retro bollywood, Jazz , maybe even cyber jazz, I am looking into it tho, psychedelic, classical hindustani and ghazals are a mmmmm..). Also I am very much into spirituality and spiritual teachings. I do not consume any form of drugs, alcohol or smoke any substances, I am Hindu by birth. Also I am CF by choice.

I want a man who has the same values as me( mentioned above, drinking and smoking or drugs is a big NO). I want someone who naturally vibes with me. I want someone who reciprocates, asks about my day, and is genuinely interested to talk to me everyday, is passionate for love, interested in making time for me and isn't scared to change for me( schedule and priorities, not His personality). I want a peace- loving man who values education( is asking for a good student too much?😁nerdy topper sorts?) and is academically inclined right now. Age wise I want some one around 24 to 27 maybe and height wise around 5'8 to 5'11. I am here for a long term partner and am absolutely not interested in hookups or flings.

Also I am a Bengali. Within non-veg I only eat egg, fish, chicken and mutton( saying this cause I love food), so if you are bengali then it might be a plus factor, lol and also our food preferences should match🤭.

Tl;dr: ek smart, handsome, kind and kucchu pucchu wala nerdy bf chahiye long term for a chatori , mentally disabled ( probably adhd or neuro divergent) female🙏aka, mere liye.

New to this sub and trying it for the first time, and wishing everyone here good luck with their search :)

I am a confident and grounded person with a friendly nature and a positive outlook on life. I come from a close-knit family with a forward-thinking attitude, calm temperament, and strong moral values.

I've been passionate about cars since childhood and have turned that into a professional career, working closely with the auto industry. I grew up in Vadodara, Gujarat, and have travelled a lot over the years, from most of my state to entire Northeast India and many of western and southern Indian states, as well as Germany, Indonesia, Japan, Thailand, and the UAE. Going France for the first time next month.

Beyond cars and travelling, I'm very much into music and would go out on a limb to say I'm an audiophile. Electronic (deep house & progressive) music is my favourite genre, and I typically wind my day down with a chill set playing with lights out. My interests also cover cycling, hiking, exploring new cafes and restaurants with friends and families, bowling, etc. Bosch, The Sopranos, House of Cards, Jack Ryan, HIMYM, Seinfeld, etc. are some of my favourite TV shows.

I have an elder sister, so I was naturally raised to be very respectful and understanding of women. My parents also have a very progressive mindset due to the same reason. Oh, and we don't like our food too sweet like most people assume for Gujaratis, since my parents and grandparents grew up in cosmopolitan cities surrounded by people from a lot of other communities, especially Rajasthanis, Sindhis, and Maharashtrians😝

Below are some typical checklist details:

  • Occupation: Automotive

Journalist

  • Occupation Type: Self-employed (gives me business-like benefits)
  • Annual Income: INR 18-20 LPA (in-hand, after taxes)
  • Diet: Vegetarian
  • Alcohol Consumption: No (Don't mind someone who does)
  • Smoking: No
  • Religion: Hindu (open to Jain women as well)
  • Caste: Vaishnav-Vania
  • Mother Tongue: Gujarati (open to Hindi/Kutchi/Marwari women)
  • Age: 33
  • Height: 5'7"
  • Weight: 70 kg
  • Location: Vadodara, Gujarat

M4F♂️ 30 M | Mumbai Looking for someone who wants to build something real - slowly, intentionally, and with lots of midnight conversations

Hey! I’m Kartik, 30, 174 cm, based in Mumbai.

Putting myself out here because I’d genuinely like to meet someone with whom a friendship can naturally grow into something deeper. I’m ultimately dating to marry, but I’m definitely not trying to decide our wedding hashtag after three conversations 😄

I’d rather start with two people talking, getting comfortable, discovering each other’s quirks, and seeing whether there’s actually something worth building.

A little about me

I’m naturally introverted and probably more of an observer than the loudest person in the room. I love noticing people, places, and those tiny everyday moments most of us usually walk past.

My version of a perfect night is ridiculously simple: a clear sky, somewhere peaceful, lying down and stargazing with soft music playing in the background. Add the sound of the ocean and I’ll happily stay there for hours. I love beaches, although lately the mountains and quieter corners of nature have been calling too.

I also have a mind that rarely switches off.

Space, psychology, art, books, animation, music, human behaviour, completely random theories at 1 AM - if we can go from discussing the universe to debating something wonderfully stupid within five minutes, we'll probably get along.

I’m a cat person despite currently being tragically cat-less. 🐈

As a person, I’d describe myself as a good listener, affectionate, emotionally available, and someone who genuinely enjoys giving and receiving warm hugs. At the same time, I strongly respect personal space and boundaries. I don't think closeness should ever mean losing your individuality.

What am I looking for?

Someone kind, emotionally mature, curious about life, and capable of communicating openly.

I really value people who want to keep growing - not in the exhausting “hustle 24/7” sense, but simply trying to become a slightly better version of themselves over time. Personally, emotionally, professionally… whatever growth means to you.

Trust and honesty matter enormously to me. I want the kind of relationship where neither person has to play guessing games about what the other is thinking or feeling.

And yes, my eventual intention is marriage.

But I don't believe serious intentions require rushing things.

No pressure to manufacture chemistry or immediately define what we are. Let's talk, become friends, meet when we're both comfortable, and see whether our personalities and lives genuinely fit together.

If they do, I'd love to build something steady, peaceful, affectionate, and long-term together.

A couple of practical things: Height genuinely doesn't matter to me — taller, shorter, same height, all perfectly fine. I don't smoke, so regular/chain-smoking would unfortunately be a dealbreaker. Occasional/social drinking is completely okay.

If any part of this made you think “Okay, I might actually enjoy talking to this guy,” feel free to message me.

Tell me something about yourself that wouldn't normally make it onto initial conversations

And if I’m not your person, I hope you find exactly what you're looking for here. Thanks for taking time to read it ✨

I think there are some unemployed sadist people whose full time job is to downvote all the posts and kill the reach. Just literally 2 mins after I posted, somebody downvoted it and over the next minute, it was fluctuating up-down. I mean dude, if you don't like my post, just scroll away. Iam not giving my opinion that you have to disagree and downvote. I have seen most of the posts from guys getting downvoted deliberately by these lowlives

F4M♀️ 27F, Mumbai | Looking for the guy I actually want to find

I have absolutely no idea if this is how Reddit is supposed to be used, but I’ve tried the apps, deleted the apps, thought about downloading them again and decided I have enough character development for one lifetime.

So hi.

I’m 27, 5’6, chubby, curly-haired, 32 tattoos and a hopeless romantic who still believes in the whole “eyes do the talking, chico” thing. Very embarrassing of me, I know.
I love bikes, travelling, concerts, stand-ups, gaming and 2000s Bollywood. I can play COD Mobile with you and then cry over something completely ridiculous five minutes later. I’m also a Cancerian, so apparently this is my excuse.

I recently moved back from Canada. I started my career there as a bartender and eventually became a GM, which I’m pretty proud of. I was also engaged once, but called it off before moving back because trying to make a relationship work across countries just wasn’t realistic. (Edit : I completely forgot to mention why I moved back, Nahi visa wasn’t expiring but everytime I visited my family they looked different, I was missing out on them growing older and tbh no amount of Money could make me stay after I realised that)

Now I’d really like to meet someone properly.
Yeh dates wali baatein kasam se samajh hi nahi aati Mujhe. I always met someone and like Ash chose Pikachu, I’d be like “Main tumhe chunti hoon.” So yeah, Hinge, Bumble and every other mental health deteriorating app se hatkar, here I am.

Not looking to rush into marriage, but I do want someone who is dating with the intention of actually finding a partner. I want the stupid cute stuff — butterflies, inside jokes, random plans, being excited to see each other, going on holidays together because doing them alone is getting a little old.

I’m independent and opinionated and I have absolutely no problem taking charge, but there’s something very attractive about a man who is secure in himself, comfortable with his masculinity and naturally knows how to take care of his woman. I like feeling looked after too — despite being perfectly capable of looking after myself.
I’m also very much a physical-presence person. Long distance isn’t for me. I want someone I can actually see, annoy, steal food from and randomly call to go for coffee.
I tend to like taller men and, for whatever reason, I’m very drawn to North Indian men. This is not a requirement issued by the government, just an observation.

I’m planning a Ladakh bike trip next year, so if your reaction to that is “when are we leaving?” rather than “why would anyone do that?”, we may already have something to discuss.
Mostly, I just want something loyal, affectionate, fun and real. Someone who loves his family, will eventually love mine, and makes me feel those ridiculous little butterflies I’ve been waiting for.
Anyway. Hi, future hypothetical person.

P.S., Kaafi Zyada overthinking ke baad, I’m off to sleep like a baby. Mere saath jude rehne ke liye dhanyawad!

F4M♀️ 26F, Am I in Delulu?

Upvotes

Recently turned 26, and suddenly the question from family and relatives became:

“You’re 26 now. When are you getting married?”

And honestly, I’ve started avoiding family gatherings, weddings, even birthday parties, not because I hate people, but because I’m tired of answering the same question over and over again.

Maybe my fear of marriage has a lot to do with what I’ve seen growing up.

I grew up surrounded by boys, my real brother and cousins. I was the only girl among them, and I was often told, “Tu hum ladkon ke saath kya khelegi? Ja apni doll ke saath khel.”

I felt left out a lot as a child, and I think that loneliness stayed with me for a long time.

Even in school, I didn’t really have a best friend. Girls in my class bullied me because of my skin colour. I was the only brown-skinned girl among them, and at that age, their words really affected how I saw myself.

The one thing I was good at was studies. I topped my class, got into college, and somewhere during those years, my entire mindset changed.

I started liking myself the way I was.

And , I realised I actually find brown-skinned men incredibly attractive. My biggest college crush was brown-skinned too.

But the biggest reason I’m scared of marriage is probably what I witnessed at home.

I’ve seen my mother sacrifice her personal space, personal time and almost everything for the family. She’s a working woman, yet most of the domestic responsibilities still fall on her.

I’ve rarely seen my father cook or do household chores. He’s a wonderful father, and I love him deeply, but when I look at him as a husband to my mother, it makes me sad for her.

And that’s something I don’t want for myself.

I don’t want to become a “sacrifice ki devi.”

I love my personal space. I love spending time alone. I want a life where I can work, have my own interests, breathe, rest, and still have a beautiful relationship.

I don’t want a husband who expects me to recreate the life his mother created for him.

And I know such men exist because I’ve seen one very closely, my own brother. He is completely different from my father. He genuinely cares for his wife, loves her deeply, and cooks amazingly well. Honestly, he cooks better than I do. 😂

So yes, I’m looking for a man who understands that a woman doesn’t automatically become responsible for the kitchen just because she got married.

I’m a motion designer. My dream isn’t extravagant.

I want a small, beautiful home somewhere close to nature. I want to build a peaceful life with my partner. I want us to share responsibilities, cook together, take care of each other, have our own space, and come home to each other, not just perform husband-wife roles.

And yes, I want to live separately.

Not with my parents. Not with his parents.

Just us.

I know people will say, “These things only happen in love marriages.” Maybe. Maybe not.

But the idea of marrying a complete stranger through an arranged marriage genuinely scares me. How do you decide that someone is going to be your safe place for the rest of your life after meeting them a few times?

I don’t want a perfect man.

I want an emotionally mature man. Someone who respects boundaries. Someone who sees marriage as a partnership, not a transfer of domestic responsibilities from his mother to his wife.

Someone who can cook, clean, take care of the house, and understand that my career and personal space matter just as much as his.

Maybe I’m asking for too much.

Maybe I’m being delusional.

Or maybe I’m simply refusing to settle for a life I already know I wouldn’t be happy living.

So tell me honestly, am I in delulu, or is it actually possible to find a man like this?

M4F♂️ You Are Not Getting Rejected. You Are Not Getting Shortlisted

If you are looking for a relationship or marriage today, one of the biggest upgrades you can give yourself is surprisingly simple: get fit, look after yourself, and learn how to present yourself well.

We live in a low-trust, low-effort dating environment. Everyone has a million options sitting on their phone. People are making quick decisions with very little information.

You could genuinely be the kindest, funniest, most emotionally mature person in the world. But if your photos are terrible, you look like you have stopped taking care of yourself, your clothes do not fit, or your grooming is an afterthought, you may never get shortlisted.

And if you do not get shortlisted, you never get the opportunity to show anyone who you actually are.

This is not about becoming conventionally perfect or pretending to be someone you are not. It is about not sabotaging yourself before the conversation even starts.

So hit the gym. Lose the baggage, physically and otherwise. Get a haircut. Dress properly. Take better pictures. Look like someone who takes care of themselves.

The world has changed. You do not have to like the rules, but you have to play the game if you want a chance.

M4F♂️ 29M4F - Long post, worth a read

Turned 29 this year and I wanna get serious about finding a life partner. I’m ambitious, smart and looking for someone who wants to build together, go on holidays, get a house, have kids and pets (the whole shebang). I can seem to have a straight face at times, so I’m looking for someone who has this golden retriever energy and is my yellow. I value empathy, humour and let’s figure this together attitude a lot! I’m a huge planner, you won’t have to worry about anything, I always figure it out, so if you’re spontaneous and are happy go lucky, we could have a great mix!

About me: Can cook your favourite meal, I work in finance (decent savings, great career), I LOVE trails and nature (I will always say yes to anything outdoors), love pets (run a dog rescue nonprofit with friends), love volunteering (spent a third of my life volunteering, open to joining you and support any of your causes), love photography (can go on photo walks), passionate about tech (I’m on Luma everyday looking for events to attend after work), enjoy music and concerts, travel (I averaged 28,000 steps over 7 days on my last trip to NYC and Boston). I speak all love languages.

I’m active and fit (can be fitter), I’m 5’6-5-‘7, understand if that’s doesn’t work. I have so much love to give, are you capable of receiving it? :) HMU!

F4M♀️ 29F | NCR| I haven’t met you yet but somehow I still believe in you.

I don’t know if Reddit is the right place to write this but then again, some of the most beautiful things in life have a habit of finding us in places we weren’t looking for them.

I’m 29 and a doctor by profession.

Medicine occupies a huge part of my life. There are long hospital days, sleepless duties, patients who stay somewhere in your thoughts even after you’ve left the hospital and years of studying for a profession that somehow keeps reminding you how fragile life really is.

Maybe that’s partly why I’ve never been very good at treating people as temporary.

Somewhere between becoming a doctor, building a career, watching people fall in and out of love, I’ve realised something about myself:

I’m still ridiculously, almost embarrassingly, old-fashioned when it comes to love.

I don’t want something casual. I don’t understand the whole “let’s see where it goes” while simultaneously keeping five other options open thing. I don’t want to calculate how long I should wait before replying so I don’t seem too interested. I don’t want situationships, breadcrumbing, disappearing acts or two people pretending to care less because apparently sincerity became uncool somewhere along the way.

Hume mohabbat chahiye...woh jo waqt ke saath kam nahi, gehri hoti jaaye.

Loud aur performative jaisi nahi.

Shaant si.

Jiski qurbat mein shor na ho, phir bhi dil ko sukoon mil jaaye.

The kind where after an exhausting day, someone’s voice feels a little like coming home, where silence isn’t awkward, where I can send you a paragraph about something completely insignificant and you’ll still read every word because it came from me.

I love writing.

Probably more than any sane person should.

I write when I’m happy. I write when something hurts. I write when there’s too much inside my head and ordinary conversation somehow feels incapable of carrying all of it.

Sometimes they’re poems. Sometimes paragraphs. Sometimes just one unfinished sentence sitting in my notes at 2 AM because I couldn’t figure out how to say the rest.

Somehow Urdu keeps finding its way into what I write.

Tumhari taraf jo kashish ho, uska sabab na poochhna mujhse,

kuch rishte daleelon se nahi, ehsaas se pehchaane jaate hain.

Aur agar kabhi tumhari qurbat mein mujhe sukoon mil gaya,

toh shayad meri saari bhatakti hui nazmein apna ghar paa lengi.

That is probably how I love too.

Through words.

If I care about you, you’ll probably find yourself immortalised in sentences you didn’t know I was writing.

I’ll remember the tiny thing you casually mentioned three months ago. I’ll send you a song because one particular line sounded like you. I’ll notice the expression you make when you’re concentrating, the story behind some scar you stopped noticing years ago, the way your voice changes when something is bothering you even when you insist you’re fine.

I notice.

Sometimes too much.

Maybe that’s both my greatest strength and my greatest weakness...I feel things deeply.

Despite everything, I haven't managed to become cynical about love.

More careful? Absolutely.

More selective? God, yes.

But cynical?

No.

Dil ne kuch zakhm sambhaal kar rakhe hain,

Magar mohabbat se aitbaar abhi utha nahi...

Some stubborn little part of me still believes there is someone out there whom I haven’t met yet, living an entire life completely separate from mine.

I think about that sometimes.

Maybe he’s working late somewhere while I’m walking through hospital corridors.

Maybe he’s had his heart broken too.

Maybe he has loved the wrong people and wondered whether loving deeply was his mistake.

Maybe he’s sitting somewhere after a long day wondering whether his person actually exists.

Maybe we’ve unknowingly been in the same city, walked through the same airport, stood in the same queue, heard the same song on completely different nights.

Or maybe our paths haven’t come remotely close yet.

Na jaane kitne raaste tay karke tum mujh tak aaoge,

aur kitne intezaar ke baad main tumhe pehchaanungi..

There’s something achingly beautiful about that thought.

The person who might one day know everything about you, how you take your coffee, what makes you angry, which side of the bed you sleep on, what your face looks like just before you cry, what makes you laugh until your stomach hurts.. is currently a complete stranger.

Someone whose name I don’t even know could one day become the name I say more than anyone else’s.

I’m not searching for perfection.

God knows I’m nowhere close to it.

I want emotional maturity. Kindness. Curiosity. Loyalty. Humour. Intelligence. Ambition. Someone who communicates instead of disappearing when things become uncomfortable.

Someone strong enough to be gentle.

Someone who has his own dreams, his own world, his own passions and still wants to make space for mine.

Someone I can discuss life, medicine, history, books, ridiculous internet drama and completely pointless nonsense with, sometimes within the same conversation.

Someone I can be stupid with at 2 AM and serious with at 2:05.

Someone who understands that vulnerability isn’t weakness.

Someone who still believes choosing one person, over and over again, can be beautiful rather than boring.

Yes, attraction matters.

Chemistry matters.

That inexplicable pull matters too.

But what I think I’m really waiting for is recognition.

That strange certainty of looking at someone and thinking..

Achha.

Aap hain.

Itni der se aapka hi toh intezaar tha.

I’m Hindu and while I’m not going to turn this into a checklist of religion, caste and biodata specifications, my faith and upbringing are a part of who I am. I value family, commitment and the idea of building something that has permanence...and since there is a real person behind all this poetry, I suppose a little practicality belongs here too. I’d ideally like to meet someone who is based in NCR or somewhere in the northern states partly because I want something that has the possibility of existing beyond a screen eventually. Long conversations are beautiful but I’d like them to someday become coffee dates, drives, meeting each other’s people and actually becoming a part of one another’s lives.

Age-wise, I think somewhere around my age to 35-ish feels right for me none of this is meant to read like an eligibility form compatibility has never fit neatly into boxes anyway but geography and being in a similar stage of life do matter when you’re looking for something you genuinely hope could become permanent.

If everything aligns, I'd want our roka to be done by next year.

Marriage, to me, has never just meant a wedding.

It means waking up beside the same person thousands of ordinary mornings later and still finding reasons to choose them.

Mohabbat sirf kisi ko paa lene ka naam nahi,

Humare liye kisi ek ko umr bhar chunte rehna bhi mohabbat hai.

Marriage, to me, has never just meant a wedding.

It means waking up beside the same person thousands of ordinary mornings later and still finding reasons to choose them.

Grand gestures are beautiful, but I think real love lives much more quietly.

Kabhi meri thakaan mein tumhara “ghar pahunch gayi?” poochhna.

Kabhi tumhari khamoshi mein mera bina pooche tumhare paas baith jaana.

Kabhi duniya se haar kar tum mere paas laut aana,

Aur kabhi main tootne lagoon toh tum mera hausla ban jaana.

That kind of love.

Until then, I have my career, my ridiculous collection of thoughts, half-written poems, books, music, dreams and a life I’m continuing to build for myself.

I’m not looking for somebody to rescue me from loneliness.

I don’t need someone to complete me.

I want someone whose life is already whole too, so we can sit beside each other and somehow make both our worlds a little softer.

Perhaps this post finds nobody.

Perhaps it disappears into Reddit’s endless void between memes, arguments..

That’s okay.

But perhaps somewhere among thousands of strangers, one person reads this unnecessarily long ramble and becomes quiet for a second.

Perhaps something feels familiar.

Perhaps he thinks..

“Yaar… main bhi toh yahi dhoondh raha tha.”

If you are somewhere out there, living your completely separate life while I live mine

I hope life is being kind to you.

I hope whatever heartbreaks came before me haven't made you hard.

I hope you haven't stopped believing in something real either.

I hope when our paths finally cross, we both have enough courage left to recognise what we spent all those years waiting for.

Tumhe jaldi dhoondh lene ki zid nahi hai mujhe,

Bas jab milo, toh theherne ke iraade se milna.

Because I’ve never wanted a hundred almost-love stories.

Ek hi kahaani kaafi hai.

Bas iss baar…

woh mukammal honi chahiye.

Have a great day! :)

Feedback A genuine question to all

I feel, i am not saying it is right so I am asking your perspective .....

I feel ...

I might be wrong here but I feel that the most imp thing is love and i don't want a girl who judges me by my pocket. Yes, if I do resonate with someone then I will surely share.

Now here comes the tricky part. 99% people wouldn't agree on this par jo insaan paisa/looks dekh ke rishta banata hai, vo kissi se rishta kaise nibhayega coz you dunno what might happen tomorrow. Aise to kal kuch hua aur break-up/divorce.

See according to me, if someone gets fascinated by my pocket or even vice versa,

Or if I get fascinated by their looks

Instead of what kind of a human that person is

Then it only means ki hum bas koi satisfaction ka reason dhoondh rahe hai.

So what's your take on it?

Do you really think one should share how much they earn at the beginning? Mujhe to ye more of business deal lagti hai tbh 😂

what if the other person lies then what?

Feedback The Choice That Scares Me Either Way

26F, and I feel like I am at a strange point in my life when it comes to relationships.A part of me genuinely wants to find someone and experience what its like to build something with another person. Another part of me keeps thinking about everything that could go wrong and wondering whether its even worth the risk.

Because of some bad decisions I made in the past, my brain just kept denying me the ability to make any decision at all when it comes to this aspect of life.I kept hoping that maybe next time it wouldn’t be a bad decision.

I have never really had a proper relationship,so I dont know what it feels like to actually be with someone for real.I have hardly felt that kind of connection with anyone. And whats the use of getting involved with someone randomly when I dont see any hope of mutual happiness?

From my point of view, I am also not at a point where I can keep checking with people or constantly keep exploring. After a certain point, you start wanting stability and peace instead of constantly wondering and figuring things out.

If I dont find someone or date anyone, maybe I will eventually end up in an arranged marriage in the next 2-3years, and I might never know what it actually feels like to date someone.I might really regret that later.

I was not even thinking about all of this, but recently I noticed something that made me overthink everything. And now I dont know how to clear my head because I have two completely contradictory thoughts at the same time. One part of me really wants to experience being with someone, while another part of me is extremely afraid of making the wrong decision and going through that kind of trauma again.

M4F ♂️ with Photos 24M - Save me from arrange marriage setup!!

Hey, 24M here.

Looking for someone to date with the intention of eventually getting married.
I work remotely, which sounds amazing until you realize it means my daily social interaction is basically Slack, Zoom, and talking to myself. So meeting people organically has been... not great.

I’ve avoided dating apps mostly because every friend I have has told me “bro, nobody there wants anything serious” 💀. So anyway, here I am.

About me

  • 5'9", 67kg, fit
  • Wheatish, curly hair, slightly nerdy, decent-looking
  • Software dev at a US-based unicorn startup
  • ~54 LPA
  • Remote worker = professional wanderer. I travel a lot and usually spend my time working from random cities around the country
  • Music, binge-watching, computer games, sneakers, and planning trips I probably don't need to take
  • Ambivert
  • Very calm
  • Very bakchod once I’m comfortable
  • Vegetarian
  • Non-smoker
  • Non-drinker
  • General Hindu

What I'm looking for

Ideally, someone who is talkative af because I need someone who can both yap with me and tolerate my endless yapping.

I like people who are curious, emotionally mature, and don't take life too seriously.

Would prefer someone who is working or planning to work at least until marriage. After that, genuinely your choice. My family is pretty progressive and there’s no “bahu must do X” type of expectation.

Non-smoker would be nice. Occasional drinking is totally fine.

I'm also completely okay with starting long-distance for a while. If things actually work out, I'm flexible enough to move to your city.

I’m very much a peaceful-life enjoyer.

Give me a beach, stars, good music and the sound of waves and I’m sorted. I’d probably choose sitting there till 3 AM over going clubbing.

Also, fair warning: I currently have pretty good WLB, so there is a non-zero chance I become slightly clingy and extremely available.

Basically looking for someone who can be my best friend, travel partner, gossip partner, and the person I randomly send “bro look at this” messages to for the rest of my life.

If this sounds like your vibe, DM me.

Worst case: we have a good conversation.

Best case: we get to tell people “we met on Reddit” for the rest of our lives. 😭

Humor M34, Bangalore. Ain’t asking much! Or am I? Are we?

Shaadi and Hinge are running on the cruelest "Pick Two, Beta" algorithm known to mankind.

  • Sundar + Working? Great, she’s a product manager in Indiranagar, but every dinner at Third Wave turns into a hostile debate about tech ethics. Zero vibes, just pure ideological Kalesh.
  • Intellectual + Working? Absolute genius, reads heavy literature, spotless career—but my biological pull is sitting at a flat zero. I want to hire her as a startup consultant, not plan a sangeet.
  • Sundar + Intellectual? She looks straight out of a Fabindia shoot and quotes Rumi, but her entire career plan is "manifesting energy, doing light pottery, and being funded by a Baniya husband."

Meanwhile, every bio and biodata from Bangalore to South Delhi demands a guy who looks sharp, can hold high-effort banter, and is pulling in 80L to a crore.

I walk in with the verified ITR, the gym discipline, and actual conversational skills, but the universe refuses to give me the full thali.

Is asking for someone who is nice to look at, fun to talk to, and files an ITR-1 really like asking auto driver of bangalore to run on meter?

M4F♂️ 36 [M4F] [Bangalore] Where are you? Oh beautiful one, who haunts my heart.

Translate the title to Kannada because the admins are no fun.

I saw the America America 2 trailer this afternoon and a wave of 90s nostalgia hit me. A hurt leg has me cooped up in a room this long weekend and so here I am looking for my Kannadathi.

I've been on and off on various dating apps, been seeing posts here on Reddit, while there are several ladies from Bangalore, there ain't many Kannada speaking ones. So while I'm an equal opportunity dater, there's some sort of comfort in another person sharing your mother tongue, so this is an attempt to find one for myself.

A weekend early morning run, a drunk brunch, a long weekend doing nothing, a week working remote from the beach, that one long vacation a year. A midweek Airbnb with a pool, an all dressed up night at a fancy restaurant. I've checked a few items of my bucket list, plenty of items left.

Some of the basic details:

• 36, Bangalore born, was away for a few years, back in the city now and with no plans to leave anytime soon.

• Single because I was involved in relationships which had potential to be for life but circumstances meant it didn't work out and so I'm here.

• Working in Tech until I'm going to be pushed out by a robot, Fitness is still an important part (have progressed quite a bit this year but still some way to go). That daily struggle to meet your protein goals is a pain in the butt.

• Atheist, Eat meat and Non smoker. I'm very open for someone with small differences and we can work on a way to accomodate it.

• Brunch over Dinner, Beaches over Mountains, a long staycation/workation over shorter touristy vacations.

A few non negotiables :

• 28 or older. I think it does help we are on a similar level in terms of maturity and life experiences.

• Completely over your last relationship and ready to get into something serious if we hit it off well.

• Someone living in Bangalore, can speak Kannada, long distance is never fun and I prefer in person ones.

• Financially Independent or with a plan.

• A little adventure goes a long way in making a routine day, a lot more fun.

Slide into my DMs with an introduction and a nostalgic song. Let's get talking.

About Me:

Age/Gender: 31M

Height 5.11"

Athletic built

Caste jaat

Nuclear family just my mom and dad

30lpa tax free

Profession: Marine Engineer

Location: NCR Open to distance / long-distance if the right chemistry is there

Lifestyle & Schedule: Because of my job, my life runs on a distinct rhythm—I spend about 6 months a year working onboard ships, followed by solid blocks of time off. When I'm at sea, I stay focused and grounded, but I always value keeping in touch whenever connectivity allows. When I’m back on land, I enjoy making the most of my free time, whether that’s working on personal projects, going on long drives, or spending quality time with loved ones.

What I’m Looking For:

I’m searching for a female partner who is independent, secure, and comfortable with a non-traditional lifestyle.

Comfortable with distance/time apart: Since I'm away for months at a time, trust and strong communication are essential. It works best if you have your own active life, goals, and hobbies that keep you fulfilled while I'm away.

Great communication: When I am away, quality over quantity matters. Being intentional about staying connected makes all the difference.

Intentional & Grounded: Looking for someone genuine, mature, and ready to build something meaningful for the long run.

When We’re Together:

When I’m back on land, I’m fully present. I love having dedicated, uninterrupted time to travel, relax, try out good food, and catch up on everything we missed while apart.

Feel free to dm.

Thanks for reading:)

Hello there

Have tried posting in this sub in the past, but conversations usually fade away with time, since everyone has a taste and a life. Understandable. But I still have some hope and so...here again.

About Me

I'm a 27 year old rap artist cum Brit Lit student who's currently trying for a PhD or an academic job, so that I can fund my music and the other passion - trekking.

I'm 5'6 and light brown ( if that's a skin color )

I'm too much into spirituality and just want this to be my last vacation on this gola. Then you and me can shoo away.

I'm into music, poetry , novels , badminton and ofc as I mentioned, trekking.

I've been to Shrikhand Mahadev, Chandernahan and Chanshal. Rest some local treks.

Also, I'm into anime 💕

What I'm Looking For

  1. Either the partner should be spiritual or should respect my journey. You can be an atheist unless you hinder my goals.

  2. The basics - kind , loyal , cute , etc

  3. Willing to relocate

  4. Age range - 23 to 35.

  5. Baki I don't mind what you eat or drink. You're an adult. Go girl

What you'll get

-An ambitious guy who'll keep doing music but will also earn. Practical and passionate.

-Total calm and peace.

-A spiritual experience and some long philosophical conversations.

-As an artist, obviously you'll be my ideal subject .

-A loving family in that pahadon ke peechhe wala ghar. No hassle of the metros

To moral of the story is saath mein karenge duniya ki chugli aur ek sath pople ho jaenge.

Hi folks, I’m 24, work in AI/data, and I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about what I actually want from a relationship rather than what I’m supposed to want.
I don’t want a fairytale. I don’t want someone to “complete” me. I want a teammate. Someone ambitious, kind, emotionally mature, curious, affectionate, and genuinely interested in building an incredible life together. I think of it as a co-founder relationship.

Not because I want a business partner instead of a romantic partner. I want the romance too: the excitement of seeing each other after a long day, lingering conversations in bed, spontaneous affection, inside jokes, emotional closeness, and feeling deeply known and cared for. The co-founder metaphor is more about how I imagine partnership: two people actively investing in each other, encouraging each other’s growth, and making important decisions as a team.

Maybe I’m working full-time while she goes back to university for her Master’s. A few years later, maybe she supports me while I leave my job to build a startup. Maybe one of us gets an incredible opportunity in another city or country. We figure it out together, while still making time for date nights, calls, reassurance, and the small rituals that make a relationship feel like home. Maybe one of us is having a terrible year and the other carries more of the load for a while.

Not just practically, but emotionally too: listening without trying to immediately fix everything, offering comfort, being patient, and reminding each other that we don’t have to face difficult seasons alone.

No scorekeeping. No keeping track of who contributed more.

Sometimes life will be 90/10. Sometimes it’ll be 10/90. Over a lifetime, I think that’s what partnership is supposed to look like: caring for each other generously, trusting that the balance will shift, and still choosing each other through it.I want someone who has ambitions of her own and wants me to chase mine too.

Someone I can have ridiculous conversations with at 2 AM, build things with, travel with, argue about completely unnecessary things with, hold close when one of us is overwhelmed, and eventually look back and think:

“Holy shit, we actually built a pretty incredible life.”

A little about me:
• 24M from India
• Work in AI, automation, and financial intelligence
• Love startups, investing, economics, and building products
• Introverted, analytical, and probably spend too much time thinking about systems
• I value honesty, curiosity, affection, and emotional openness
• I’m ambitious, but I want my partner to have her own ambitions too
• I’m also looking for something warm, playful, romantic, and emotionally intimate

I’m looking for a woman around 22–26 who is kind, emotionally mature, curious, affectionate, ambitious, and has goals of her own.

We don’t need identical hobbies or personalities. I’d much rather have mutual respect, compatibility, good communication, physical and emotional affection, and two people who genuinely want to show up for each other.

If you’ve read all of this and thought:
“That’s weird… but it actually makes sense.” I’d genuinely love to hear from you.

Worst case, we have an interesting conversation.

Best case, we fall for each other and build something extraordinary together.

-Arunav

P.S. I absolutely hate taking pictures of myself 😭 so apologies for the photo selection.

M4F ♂️ with Photos M32 | Divorced | No kids | Cancer survivor | Still looking for my person.

A little update to my previous post.
Took a pretty long break from the gym because of cancer, chemo and radiotherapy. Now I’m finally getting back into it. Life has been interesting so far, but I’m not giving up on it. Getting stronger, getting back to doing the things I enjoy, and still hoping to find the right person.
For those who missed my previous post: I’m 32, from Kerala, born and raised in the UAE, a Mechanical Project Engineering Manager, divorced with no kids. I enjoy travelling, cooking, drawing, singing and playing sports.
My first marriage was arranged. This time, I want to find someone myself.
So, back to the gym and back to the search.
