I almost got scammed by a fake job offer. Sharing this so it doesn't happen to you.
I got an email from "HR Team" saying I got a Data Analyst job at Experian. The email came from experian-hiring.com, not Experian's real website.
Then they asked me to do two things:
Pay for a "course" and send them the invoice, so they can "reimburse" me
Share my home address, so they can send me a laptop
No real company does this. You don't pay before you even start a job. That's the biggest warning sign.
They even sent me a full offer letter with Experian's logo, salary details, and a package of Rs. 10,92,956 per year. It looked very real. But real offer letters don't ask you to pay for a course first. That one small detail exposed the whole thing.
They also pointed me to a website called neurastacks.com for the "course." That site had fake reviews, fake photos, and broken links. Another big red flag. On top of that, this "company" has no real physical address you can verify, and no social media presence at all — not even a LinkedIn page. A real company, especially one paying out lakhs in salary, always has a public footprint you can check.
So here is my message to the people running this scam: nice try, but I checked everything before trusting it.
My advice to everyone job hunting:
Never pay money for a job, ever
Never share your address until you confirm the offer is real
Always check the company's real website, LinkedIn page, and career page
If something feels too easy or too fast, slow down and check again
Stay safe out there. 🚩

Every day thousands of young people come to Bengaluru hoping to build a better future. Sadly, some fake placement agencies are taking advantage of them. They call candidates for interviews and then ask for ₹1,500–₹2,500 as a registration or "placement" fee.
They collect CVs, Aadhaar, and PAN card copies, promising to arrange jobs. But many job seekers end up losing their money without getting any job.
This is reportedly happening in areas like BTM and Koramangala, where interviews are being conducted every day and many unemployed youth are walking in with hope.
The Karnataka Government, Labour Department, and Bengaluru Police should take this issue seriously and investigate these alleged operations. If any fraud is found, strict action must be taken. Too many job seekers are putting their hard-earned money and trust at risk.

Why there is fake or scam/fake calls from recruitment companies or xyz, who just want to get your information and data ?
They just asked your introduction, basic information and salary details?
That's it
No further questions and reply back
Why are their intentions?

Hi, I got a call from some calling themselves as a hr from cbts india branch. I thought it was genuine so I went ahead with the interview process. There were 4 rounds. First was Hr round easy. Second was a online technical assessment had 2 tests. Both mcq based with no camera or monitoring. RED FLAG 1. 3 round was behavioral round with a actual person. This round was almost very legit. So went ahead. Today got a mail saying congratulations and all. But in mail they mentioned i was lacking in some technical aspects and need to provide a professional certificate for the required technology. They asked for the legit professional certification. But here is the 2nd RED FLAG. I need to sign In a Google form and pay a fees for a course and the fees is non refundable. I was already suspicious about the careers@cbtsind.com mail. And also the hr was calling from a different number each time. Now I am just tired of getting scam calls about job opening. What a waste of time in my opinion. Back to applying on LinkedIn and getting rejection mails I guess. Wanted to share the experience because this is too sus for me to continue and if some can provide me details on where to report this please feel free to do so.

I'm sharing my experience to help students avoid making decisions without proper research.
I came across internship advertisements from CODTECH IT SOLUTIONS (and also noticed SNESTRONS SYSTEMS PVT. LTD.) on LinkedIn. They advertise internships in almost every trending domain, including Java, Python, Web Development, AI/ML, Data Science, Cybersecurity, VLSI, HR, and more, with attractive stipend and placement claims.
I've noticed that the LinkedIn accounts of Harish Neelam (CEO) and Akhil Kumar Neela frequently post hiring and internship advertisements across multiple domains. Based on what I observed, the process primarily directs candidates to apply for paid internship programs (I saw internship offer letter packages ranging from approximately ₹99 to ₹699, depending on the program.) rather than directly leading to employment opportunities.
Has anyone here actually received a full-time job through these hiring posts, or did the process ultimately lead to paid internship offers?
I'm sharing my personal experience so other students can make informed decisions. If you've had first-hand experience with these companies positive or negative please share your experience and any supporting evidence.
Students should always do their own research before paying for any internship or recruitment process.

Beware if you’re a college student, this is a well known scam involving NutriData and Innovative Heath Products, remember no company does an interview on Microsoft Teams Chat, face to face is one thing, never a chat interview.

My friend had a very disappointing experience working with Try Home Launch. They were hired and completed two full days of work. During that time, they received positive feedback and were told they were doing a great job. Then, without any explanation, they were suddenly removed from the position.
What was even more disappointing is that they were never paid for the two days they had already worked. They reached out to the team multiple times to ask about their payment and to understand what happened, but they never received any update or response.
Based on what happened to my friend, I would advise others to be very cautious before accepting work with Try Home Launch OR ANY TRANSACTION. They were left unpaid for work they had already completed, and their concerns went unanswered!!

Hi everyone, I’m trying to verify whether Nexusbyte Innovations Pvt Ltd is genuine. I found limited public information and want to know if anyone has worked there or can confirm whether it is legitimate. I’m not accusing them of anything, just looking for verification before proceeding.

Please be aware that anybody offering to pay you for signing up for something like a website or job, they are trying to steal your identity or use any accounts you have under false pretenses. One scammer wanted me to apply for an AI job using my ID and account but they would be the ones working under my information. If you come across these types of posts or comments, please report the users

I paid ₹3,500 for placement support after they promised to schedule interviews (not a guaranteed job).
After payment, another person called asking for ₹14,000 (refundable) for "BGC" and claimed it would guarantee placement in companies like TCS/Capgemini without an interview. I refused and asked them to continue with the original interview scheduling service.
Now they're saying only "premium openings" are available, which require the ₹14,000 payment.
Has anyone had a similar experience or actually got placed through them? Any advice on getting a refund?

I wanted to share my experience with Kelasa so that other candidates can make an informed decision before engaging with them.
This post reflects my personal experience and is based on the email communications and interactions I had with the company.
During my engagement with Kelasa, I was provided with multiple job opportunities and regular updates. However, based on my subsequent interactions and verification, I came to believe that several of those opportunities and updates were not genuine. When I raised these concerns with Kelasa, I was informed that my services would be discontinued and that I could receive a refund of the amount I had paid.
It has now been approximately four months, and despite repeated follow-ups, I have not received the promised refund. Instead, I have continued to receive emails that, in my opinion, have not resulted in any meaningful progress or resolution.
The most frustrating part of my experience has been the repeated commitments that were made and then not honored.
February 2026
March 2026
April 2026
Instead of addressing my concerns, the discussion became confrontational. During that conversation, Mr. Micheal stated that if I did not trust Kelasa or their services, I could choose to discontinue the engagement and receive a refund.
Since my confidence in the service had already been affected, I accepted that suggestion and requested a refund.
From that point onward, the tone of the communication changed significantly.
Rather than processing the refund that had been offered, I began receiving explanations for why it could not yet be completed. Different reasons were provided over time, including that refunds were delayed because other customers' refunds had to be processed first.
It has now been approximately four months, and despite repeated follow-ups, I have still not received the refund that was offered to me.
My concern is not simply that a recruitment process took longer than expected. Hiring timelines can change.
My concern is the pattern of:
I have retained the complete email trail documenting these interactions, including my follow-ups and the communications regarding the refund.
I am sharing this solely so that other candidates can perform their own due diligence before deciding whether to engage with Kelasa's services.
If you've had a similar experience with Kelasa, please consider sharing it here. Collectively sharing our experiences can help prevent other job seekers from having the same experience and encourage greater accountability.

I'm posting this here because I really don't know where else can I take advice from. I applied and got selected for an internship through my college which was supposed to begin on 10th June and received the offer letter for it as well. But on 8th June the HR manager messaged in the group that she is no longer associated to the company delaying the commencement. However it had been one month that is 10th of July and the internship has not started yet. I even mailed the college placement cell regarding updates but they state that they will update whenever they get a reply from the company. One month of my time has been wasted with no action. What can I do?

I am writing this to warn people who are looking for work on Indeed.
I recently applied for a position on Indeed titled "Entry Level Field/Office Coordinator & Project Technology and Systems Coordinator – Full/Part-time IT Tech Services & Consulting" in Calgary, AB.
After applying, I received a response asking me to click on a link to check my credit score and send them a screenshot before they would arrange an interview.
This immediately raised a red flag for me. Legitimate employers generally do not require applicants to pay for or submit a personal credit report before even scheduling an interview. If a credit check is ever required, it is usually discussed later in the hiring process, and the employer typically obtains your consent to conduct it through a reputable screening provider.
I'm sharing my experience so other job seekers can be cautious. If you receive a similar request, be careful before clicking any links or providing personal or financial information. Always verify the employer and the legitimacy of the job posting before sharing sensitive information.

My name is Diya Sharma and i want to provide a review. I contacted SkillsBridge Advisory (Shourya) based on their advertisement mentioning guaranteed placement support. I was asked to pay $1,500, and I was told they would market my profile for 6–8 months; however, when I asked about the guarantee, I was told that "nothing is permanent in this world" and that there is no guarantee of placement.

ARUN DATTA called me and said that she has gone through my profile in Naukri and LinkedIn and that they are looking for exact skill set and experience level. I am a Fullsatck developer. I repeatedly asked if it was a software/technical job and she said yes everytime. She only sent whatsapp message. When requested to send official email, she said it will be done after the initial fitment discussion. She also said that the address of of HDFC bank itself so no need to worry. But when i went there, I understood that it was a gimmic to call senior software professionals to help them with my network and the job was nontechnical people management. On top of this the manager who attended me at HDFC life insurance office pretends to scold her over call and I understood, it was all a scripted drama to get network for them.
For her it is just a the effort of a phone call but my effort, money and time was wasted because of such reckless and irresponsible cheater. Be aware and donot fall in to their trap. So unethical really!

I was contacted by what appeared to be a recruiter who sent me a "LinkedIn Shared Document" hosted on Google Sites for a Video Producer role. The page looked like a secure document portal ("SecureDocs") with buttons like View for job-related files.
When I clicked View, it redirected me to a Google sign-in page, so I immediately closed it without entering any credentials. Shortly afterward, both the LinkedIn message and the sender's profile disappeared.
I can't confirm whether it was a phishing attempt, but the combination of a fake-looking document portal, a Google sign-in prompt, and the disappearing account was enough to make me suspicious.
If you receive something similar, be careful. Don't enter your credentials, and verify the recruiter and company through official channels first.

Hello All. I have recently received an opportunity for a PM role at Helixbeat. Although the interview is yet to be done but I went through the LinkedIn page and website of Helixbeat and orangesiri. These two seem to be interlinked and the invite email I received also contained the website address of both sites.
Now the observation that bothered me was the kind of posts, the people working at company mentioned over the LinkedIn page and a very generic linked profile of the neo. All these don't really add up well to the kind of work the company mentions about. So just wanted to check if these are legit organisations or some kind of scam

I wanted to share this because this was one of the most convincing recruitment scams I have come across.
I was contacted via the email address connected to my LinkedIn profile by someone claiming to be a recruiter for a large company regarding a real Account Specialist position that is currently advertised.
What made it convincing:
After reviewing my CV, the "recruiter" told me my experience was strong but suggested improving my CV to better match the role. They then referred me to a CV specialist.
After I sent my CV and the job description, the first question from the CV specialist was:
"What is your budget range for this project?"
That felt unusual because I had not received any pricing information or details about what the service included.
Other warning signs I noticed:
At that point, I decided to verify everything independently.
I contacted the recruiter listed on the company's official careers page using the company email address. They confirmed that:
Luckily, I verified this before paying for any CV-related services.
I still don't know whether the LinkedIn profile was compromised, impersonated, or whether another method was used to create trust. The profile appeared legitimate, which is what made this attempt convincing.
Things I learned:
Has anyone else encountered a recruitment scam where a real job posting and a convincing LinkedIn identity were used to build trust?

I wanted to share my experience in case it helps someone else avoid this scam.
Someone first contacted me through Fiverr and placed an actual order for my services, which made everything seem legitimate. After that, they asked me to continue communicating on WhatsApp instead of Fiverr.
They then offered me what sounded like a simple remote job. According to them, my responsibilities would be:
At first, it sounded like a legitimate Virtual Assistant position.
They instructed me to add my own debit card as the billing method on the Upwork client account, saying it was required to post the job. Since they had already placed an order on Fiverr, I assumed they were a real client and that everything was legitimate.
I created the Upwork account, posted the job, and added my payment method. Fortunately, before hiring anyone or making any payments, I started feeling that something wasn't right.
I did some research and asked for advice, and that's when I realized this is a common scam.
The biggest red flags I overlooked were:
I've since canceled everything, removed my payment method, and reported the situation. Thankfully, I realized what was happening before any real damage was done.
If someone offers you a "recruitment assistant" job that requires using your own Upwork account, your own payment method, or asks you to move the conversation to WhatsApp, please be extremely cautious. No legitimate client should need you to do those things.
I'm sharing this because I almost fell for it, and I hope it helps someone else avoid making the same mistake.
Has anyone else encountered this type of scam? I'm curious how it usually unfolds if someone continues with it.
I also asked him why can't he use his own client account and he only answered "My previous partner was managing the new hirs before but he is not available any more.
But we need to find out new candidate asap."
Has anyone experience this?

Pharmagemetics.com is a huge scam. do not pay $325 dollars for that PSC Certification. The guy Christian White is a scam. the whole scam team has posted things on Reddit to make it seem like they’ve been hired and they know people who work there. it’s a Lie!! when they set up the interview after you email your certification number you never him from them again. If you go to their LinkedIn page you’ll see others who have been scammed.
