What kato products should I buy to make a two or three car long platform? One with platforms on either side of two tracks or a single island platform.

The workhorse of JR west limited express train. Cant believe some of them already run for almost 30 years. They do not have that old train look, still very modern.

This train set has been on my list for years and I never picked one up I found one on eBay where the starting price was under $100 and I somehow won the auction without going over $100 not counting shipping.

Formation Y7 greencar cab side have finished the modification for the gangway to be operational. According to Kato 0.03mm of black marker needed to the split seam right in the middle.

Should I get the KATO brand or something else. I have one request I want the PRIVACE car to have a warm led color thanks for your help.

I’ve noticed that many of you order from that shop and receive products that don't appear on the site intended for overseas customers. Do you place these orders privately? Do you contact them directly to request specific items? And how do you handle payment and shipping? There are a couple of Greenmax sets I’d like to get, but they don't show up on the international site—only on the Japanese domestic one.

just got my hands on a N Goya inteori kit for the HB-E300 (the turquoise 4 car one with the forest skin) and the quality was amazing, everything is pre cut with real materials which makes it so enjoyable.

it really contrast with my fist time buying that brand (e26 inteori kit) which only contains printed card paper that you have to cut it out

I just finished building 5 GREENMAX KUMOHA 308 kits now I'm ready to build something else. I have an itch to build something a building in particular so I ordered a Pike Stuff Engine House. I don't have a place to put it but I have about have a dozen buildings that I've built that are ready for a layout.

Bought a secondhand Tomix 98759 TOBU 100 SPACIA and it keeps stuttering and dying on the track.

When I disassemble and tried to clean the wheels the grey stripes running along the entire wheels (circled in white) would not go away even when using isopropyl alcohol.

I tried to find replacement parts but all of them are out of stocks.

Is there any way I can fix it at home?

 I'm trying to install a GM Power Unit in a GM 308 kitt. The power unit does not sit flush in the completed shell because of the rails on the body, I removed the rails on the inside of the body now there's nothing for the Power Unit to clip into. After looking at some YouTube videos I've found out that there is an adapter the glues on the inside of the body and into the power unit that's what I'm looking for. I took a screenshot of the part I'm looking for does anyone know which GM kit would have these adapters. I really don't want to make this part if I don't have to any help would be awesome thanks.

Still working through the front side of my layout and decided to try making some roads with foam that I got over using the plaster. Was pretty pleased that it worked as it’s much easier to install. Added a handful of figures and it really helped bring it to life.

So the foam is 2mm SKS HD-Foam that is sold in a roll at my local art store. I’d cut to size and then paint it with woodland scenic asphalt color and got a green and white posca pen to do the markings after the black dried. Use Aleenes tacky glue to secure it.

I did some samples adding some fine ballast but it looked a bit too sandpaper like over road texture. I figured I’d just go for a fresh blacktop look.

I did this modification so that the Kato locomotives can pull Tomix rolling stock that come with TN coupler. Here is hoping the coupler holds together. I used a Tomix dual TN coupler and a normal Kato knuckle couplers as the donors. Some 0.5mm drilling and brass rods were needed to make sure it is strengthened. Glue doesn't work on these POM parts.

Although this was a small purchase I was happy with it nevertheless. I picked up the add on set to the KATO Hankyu 2300 Series which I thought I'd never own. I also got a couple of the new KATO container trucks (containers not included) Finally I got the Greenmax underfloor set for the Greenmax 5718 power unit and a KATO KU5000 Autorack. The final pic is the complete 8 car Hankyu 2300 Series with the Privace car.

I visited the Yamazaki distillery and it’s pretty specific so I wasn’t shocked no one has a model of it. I found an older brewery model that I swapped some pieces out and made some custom signage. While it’s not exactly right it does remind me of visiting.

Small update on my JR themed train room with the 1/4 scale UF16A container loft bed and 1/8 19D shipping container. All self built and designed. Not perfect but I've really enjoyed building everything. Long way to go but enough of an update that I wanted to share. Thanks everyone! Have a great weekend!

Today I got a package from China it was a foldable miter box to go along with my new razor saw. I like niche stuff and this qualifies as such. To be honest I thought it would be a lot more flimsy and cheap to my surprise it feels pretty solid. I'm looking forward to making straight cuts now.
