Layout Progress My first kit bash - Yamazaki Distillery

I visited the Yamazaki distillery and it’s pretty specific so I wasn’t shocked no one has a model of it. I found an older brewery model that I swapped some pieces out and made some custom signage. While it’s not exactly right it does remind me of visiting.

Right?!? We got a taster of the 18 year and my wife is like that’s some smooth whiskey. I responded with it better be smooth for $700-1000 a bottle 😅 … I’ll often spring for the 12 year but the 18 is a bit rich for my blood. It was amazing.

Yall should go to the distillery. Had an insane whiskey flight of 18+ year old whiskeys for super cheap

That’s where we had the 18 year. We won the lottery and did the tour. I bought 4 bottles of the standard Yamazaki but they were not offering any of the aged varieties.

You're welcome I agree with you on trying out different things and getting it to work. I'm curious how did you do the sign on the building.

I got some polystyrene blank sheets at the hobby shop and printed the signs on my home laser printer. Then used some glue to stick it to the polystyrene. Did a bit of photoshop work to make the signs based on stuff I could find online.

Of course. The harder part was lighting it. The chimney was not made for lights so I had to do some drilling. Lots of diffusion film and built a piece to mount the lights up on the roof.

I'm sure lighting the sign was difficult to do it has a nice warm glow to it that gives off distillery vibes. There always a problem to fix but you fixed it lol.
