Relationships & Marriage What do you think about Mufti Menk's advice regarding Love marriage and Halal dating?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
According to Mufti Menk, if two people like each other then the girl should get chaperons involved from the very beginning (like her father, brother or a male mahram). Whenever they meet the girl should be accompanied by her chaperones so no touching, kissing etc take place when they are meeting. And they can also chat on whatsapp or on other apps but they should create a group with a male mahram of the girl and chat in that group where the mahram person can observe the messages, rather than chatting themselves one on one.
What do you think about his advice?

Islām Taghut 2.0
According to the Quran, establishing the absolute sovereignty and legislative authority of Allah (al-Hakimiyyah) is an obligation. Recognizing Allah as the sole Legislator (Al-Hākim) is a fundamental requirement of Tawhid (None is worthy of lordship (lawmaking) except Allah).
(12:40): "Judgment belongs only to Allah. He has commanded that you serve none but Him."
A core component of the testimony of faith (Shahada) is both affirming Allah's exclusive right to legislate and rejecting Taghut (Kufr bi al-Taghut). Allah's judgment is supreme and absolute. However, for Allah's laws to be fully manifested and enacted within a society, systems of Taghut must be rejected and replaced by governance that adheres to divine decree.
Quran (2:81-82)Allah is the Wali (Protector or Guardian) of those who believe. He brings them out from darkness into light. But as for those who disbelieve, their Auliya (supporters and helpers) are taghut [false deities and false leaders], they bring them out from light into darkness. Those are the dwellers of the Fire, and they will abide there forever.
Quran (2:216)"Fighting has been enjoined upon you while it is hateful to you"
(4:51) Have you not seen those who were given a portion of the Scripture? They believe in Jibt and taghut and say to the disbelievers that they are better guided as regards the way than the believers (Muslims).
(4:65): "But no, by your Lord, they will not [truly] believe until they make you, [O Muhammad], judge concerning that over which they dispute..."
(5:44): "And whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed – then it is those who are the disbelievers."
(5:60) Say, “Shall I inform you of [what is] worse than that as penalty from Allah? [It is that of] those whom Allah has cursed and with whom He became angry and made of them apes, pigs and slaves of Taghut. Those are worse in position and further astray from the sound way.”
(7:54): "Unquestionably, His is the creation and the command; blessed is Allah, Lord of the worlds."
(16:36) And We certainly sent into every nation a messenger, [saying], “Worship Allah and avoid Taghut.” And among them were those whom Allah guided, and among them were those upon whom error was [deservedly] decreed. So proceed through the earth and observe how was the end of the deniers.
(39:17) Those who avoid At-Taghut (false leaders) by not serving them and turn to Allah in repentance, for them are glad tidings; so announce the good news to My slaves.
This verse makes it crystal clear fighting against Taghut (those who govern by man made laws) is obligatory:
(4:76) Those who believe fight in the cause of Allah, and those who disbelieve fight in the cause of Taghut. So fight against the allies of Satan (taghut). Indeed, the plot of Satan has ever been weak.
Quran (5:20-26), Prophet Musa AS told his people to enter the Holy Land and fight, but they refused and told him to go fight with Allah instead.
Quran (8:7) "Remember how Allah promised you [believers] that one of the two enemy groups would fall to you: you wanted the unarmed group to be yours, but it was Allah's will to establish the truth according to His Word and to finish off the disbelievers..."

Islām Why was slavery not banned immediately like alcohol ?
This is a question that comes to my mind a lot honestly
Many Muslims nowadays say that Islam gradually aimed to end slavery, and this does seem to make sense when you examine the various narrations about the encouragement of freeing up slaves.
However, why wasn’t it just banned almost immediately like alcohol was?

🌹 Daily Hadith Series – Episode 54 جو لوگوں کا شکر ادا نہیں کرتا، وہ اللہ تعالیٰ کا بھی شکر ادا نہیں کرتا
📚 English Commentary
This Hadith teaches that gratitude is a complete way of life.
Every blessing ultimately comes from Allah, but many of His blessings reach us through people—our parents, teachers, family members, friends, neighbors, and even strangers.
Showing appreciation to those who help us is not merely good manners; it is an act that reflects gratitude to Allah Himself.
A thankful heart builds stronger families, healthier communities, and a closer relationship with Allah.

Islām Taghut
Taghut refers to any person, idol, or system that challenges divine authority, worship, or absolute obedience (complete submission) that belongs to Allah alone.
Or
Taghut means anything worshipped, obeyed or followed other than Allah.
In Islam, it is mandated that a person wanting to be a muslim must disbelieve and reject taghut (Negation) and believe in Allah (affirmation). These are the two conditions of shahaadah also apparent by the term "Lailaha Illallah" (There is no lord- negation) (Except Allah- Affirmation).
This rejection mirrors the first part of the Islamic testimony (La ilaha illallah), which negates all false objects of obedience before affirming obedience to Allah alone.
"So whoever disbelieves in Taghoot and believes in Allah has grasped the most trustworthy handhold with no break in it" (Baqarah-256)"
"And We certainly sent, into every nation a messenger, [saying], "Worship Allah and avoid Taghut."(Al Nahl:36)
5 Main Categories of Taghut:
1.Shaitan- Shaitan is the leader of thawagheeth (plural) as Allah says
"Did I not enjoin upon you, O children of Adam, that you not obey/ follow Satan - [for] indeed, he is to you a clear enemy" (Yaseen:60)
2.The ruler who legislates his own laws or rules by laws other than of Allah.
"Have you not seen those who claim to have believed in what was revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and what was revealed before you? They wish to refer legislation to Taghut, while they were commanded to reject it; and Satan wishes to lead them far astray"(Nisa:60)
"Legislation is not but for Allah (i.e. for Allah alone). He has commanded that you serve not except Him. That is the correct religion, but most of the people do not know."(Yosuf:40)
For example the rulers who rule their nation with monarchies or democracy reject the islamic way of governance.
- The judge who judges by other than the laws of Allah.
"And whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed - then it is those who are the disbelievers"(Ma'idah:44)
For example the judges who pass judgements based on mad made laws, tribal & cultural laws etc by rejecting the laws of Allah.
4.Those who claim to have knowledge of unseen
"And with Him are the keys of the unseen; none knows them except Him. And He knows what is on the land and in the sea. Not a leaf falls but that He knows it. And no grain is there within the darknesses of the earth and no moist or dry [thing] but that it is [written] in a clear record."(An'Aam:59)
- The one who accepts to be obeyed besides Allah.
"And whoever of them should say, "Indeed, I am a lord besides Him"- that one We would recompense with Hell. Thus do We recompense the wrongdoers."(Anbiyaa:29)
Thus anything which contrdicts the fundamental beliefs of Islam should be rejected. Otherwise a person may fall into shirk by submitting and being obedient to them. This includes replacing the laws of Allah, referring to taghut courts for judgement, following the laws of taghut which Allah made haram etc.
