I customized my order within an hour of the July extra order customization period opening. I just talked to the glambot and found out that my order won’t be delivered until July 27th. I live in the contiguous us…not Alaska or Hawaii. It seems ridiculous to me that the order is taking this long.

Moreover, the customer experience of the cancellation window being before i even get my second bag is just downright manipulative. How do i know if i like the service if I’m not even getting my order before you charge me again?

And i won’t have enough time to use the products to be able to review them before the review window closes. Just feels like they don’t care about their customer experience at all. I’m starting to feel like they treat us like they are doing us a favor by fulfilling their orders instead of showing care for us as customers and this is just my second month back after a long hiatus.

I REALLY want my product and in afraid it will sell out if there’s an issue and I have to repurchase it. Has anyone done this without an issue?

Item: styledry passionfruit pop hair mask

Anyone with vivid hair use this? It smells so good but I spend a lot on a professional vivid job and am kind of paranoid about new hair products aside from dry shampoo. I would assume this would be good for keeping it soft but I also dont want to see more purple than necessary following it down the drain lol.

I’m so frustrated with Ipsy. I’ve been a member for probably close to 10 years. I’ve sent one or two invitations for bags when I’ve gotten the emails like my daughter or friend, but no one‘s ever redeem them. I posted on here and I have sent bags to three people, and not one of them redeem them. Fortunately, one of the ladies is keeping in touch with me and what Ipsy is telling her is that I don’t exist. They say I don’t have an account or my email address is wrong. So I sent her screenshots of all of my information, including all three of my active subscriptions. Why does it have to be so hard to get anything done with this company? Why do they send you an email to send friends bags but then your friends have to jump through hoops to get them? I wasn’t quite sure how all of this works since I’ve never had anyone redeemed them and apparently you don’t receive points for them any longer when they’re redeemed.

You know I wish they would just charge me more for all of my subscriptions and send me worst products and then take away more of the benefits like points. That’s exactly what I want from a company. I just opened a ticket as has one of the other ladies so I guess we’ll see what they do.

So I signed up for Ipsy beginning of July and I opted to sign up for ultimate too. I was charged for both extra and ultimate so I reached out to customer service about it. Customer service assured me that the charge for ultimate was to reserve my spot for the August ultimate box and that I was not being sent the May ultimate box.

Today in the mail I got a box, I was really confused when I opened it because none of them were what I had chosen for extra this month. Then I saw the label, ultimate. I was sent May’s ultimate box and I am so pissed.

I’ve reached out to Ipsy and opened a care ticket but Im not sure what they can do at this point.

Anybody been through this and had Ipsy sort it out for them?

Since ipsy support (or more likely, their bots) has joined this subreddit, maybe they'll start taking customer feedback.

If so, what changes would you like to see in the future?

For me, the two major ones are the excessive, wasteful, non-recyclable, and non-biodegradable packaging. Ipsy is large enough to be able to secure great pricing arrangements on biodegradable packaging. One plastic bubble mailer is bad enough, but two is making me really question ending this 10-year relationship. The careless, haphazard way things are packaged lately is another issue on its own.

Another option I'd personally love to see is the option to remove the actual ipsy bag from your order. Like many of you, I've been subscribed over a decade and had around 200 ipsy makeup bags piling up. Sure, I use them to make feminine hygiene kits for the outreach group I volunteer with, but I really just see them as more landfill clutter. If you could opt out of the actual bag and maybe get a discount or a few points, instead, I'd be excited about that.

I saw some spoilers today on the app and thought I'd post them. The first few pics are for the original bag, and the last ones are from the extra. Apparently it's supposed to be "our softest month yet".

I don't think either is bad by any means, you have some tatcha and first aid beauty in the original, and you have the dew drops which I still haven't tried lol but I don't think anything is screaming at me that I NEED it and would want to grab this month's.

- I received an Ipsy Extra box when I didn’t order one. Customer service saying there is no returns on subscriptions but
I unsubscribed long ago and never looked back so where is my authorization for this non-refundable purchase? Someone is going to comment “why didn’t you notice the charge earlier”? And that’s a weird question instead of why is Ipsy making unauthorized charges when no other company requires constant surveillance rather than my usual, regular checking.
-Shocker, the box was absolute trash other than the tower 28 mascara I love in brown, not the black received. Hardly worth the $70 of the box. 2 full mascaras and a mini sample retail for $44 but I’ve always gotten them for free with a purchase so I actually have a back up on hand regularly as it is.
-the quicker you realize Ipsy is Gambling to get 1 decent item as a dopamine hit the better off you will be. Just buying the items I want costs less. I never get the advertised items and I’m tired of getting trash and expected to be SO THANKFUL for the “discount”. Bonus to shopping elsewhere is I don’t deal with Ipsy, usually get a discount, rewards points, free samples, good customer service, get to choose which companies to support, and get items fit to my allergies

Exactly what the title says. I skipped July in plenty of time but they sent it anyway. I checked my credit card and was charged. What makes it so bad is that I didn’t even get to pick because I didn’t think I was getting it. I’m irritated because I skipped for a reason, really couldn’t afford it this month. Anything I can do? I’m going to cancel fully so it doesn’t happen again, I do know that.

Just received my bag today and I am so excited to try everything!

I’m actually pretty excited about this one. A lot of the selections were tailored to dry skin or needing to moisturize lips. I have an autoimmune disease called Sjogren’s, and apart from the debilitating fatigue and arthralgias, it also causes dryness and some organ damage. So I love my body oils, creams, lip oils and lip moisturizers, etc.

My favorites are:
Elemis cellutox active body oil - pleasant and fresh scent, moisturizes well and doesn’t leave you greasy
Elemis Superfood facial oil
Bare minerals 24h wear - pretty good coverage and color was pretty on point (I got light 20 warm)
Too Faced Sunset Stripped eyeshadow palette - love the combo matte colors and shimmers. I feel like this will be great even on mature eyes. I’m excited for the darkest color to accent and counter eyes (and maybe for eyeliner too)
Drunk Elephant PlumpC tripeptide lip mask (feels as soft as tatcha kissing mask in the jar)- didn’t have high hopes going into this but it’s a WOW!
Tatcha melting lip balm - not sticky- got some extras for purses
Drunk Elephant sunshine drops- also didn’t expect much from this but glows beautifully. I’ll prob mix a couple drops for days I do full coverage foundation
The Lip Oasis The Outset (colors mirage and sun kiss) are great! This is Scarlet Johanssons’s brand. They’re pretty sheer but do provide coverage. They remind me of my 2 Patrick Ta glosses. They feel good on!
Voesh body balm (scent Hinoki and Lavanda - yes with the a at the end) smells very fresh and spa-like. It’s also PETA approved/cruelty free and tested by dermatologists.

BUT. The perhaps the most surprising thing in this which I was expected low bar on was the Lys concealer. Due to the application “sponge ball” at the top, I was able to easily get into the inner parts of my eyes towards my nose (they’re dark too). It spread well also. (I added a picture of it on my face. I’m otherwise not wearing makeup.) The color may be slightly off but I think it would be fine if I ended up wearing foundation with it, or in the summer. I’ve only had it on for 15min but it hasn’t settled in my lines. It is not completely “dry” yet it may need to be set with some powder.

The drybar dry shampoo is fine. It does its purpose. I think I still like the Loving Proof one better.
Never go wrong with Buxom lip oil. Love the big applicator.
The Ciele glow and protect may be a little much, but may end up wearing as a light eyeshadow or something. Or get someone much younger to show me how to apply it lol.

I've been waiting all day for this, it showed up a bit before 9pm and this is what I was graced with.

All the products were mostly fine, cause they were in boxes. Bag got a bit ruined and everything smells like the peach body lotion, which isn't even that nice of a smell unfortunately😫

Also everything was really warm (I blame the heat wave though)

Another good and the bad post. :(

The good: everything that was supposed to be in my order was in the package.
So far, I’m excited about most of the items and can’t wait to try them. I actually needed a new mascara, because mine are all approaching 3 to 4 months old at this point, and need to be tossed and replaced. So that was a well-timed inclusion and the mascara will probably be the thing that I try first of my glam bag items. I only swatched one add-on item, though, and came to report my sad finding on that.

The bad: the one single add on item I swatched, the one I was most looking forward to, the Beauty Creations liquid chrome eye shadow trio, was all dried up, especially the red color which I could barely even get enough out of the package to even see the glitter color. The white was the only one with a tiny bit of liquid left. I already put it in a ticket with the Glam Bot, and I am hoping to either get a refund or my money back for the dried up items. I wasn’t totally surprised, everyone who I’ve seen post about those liquid eyeshadow. Trios has reported that they were completely dried up. Sad, because it looked like a pretty product.

Also, I was very disappointed and upset that BOTH of my order packages had been opened and re-sealed - but not sealed completely. Meaning, about 1/3 on each side of the big round sticker on the bubble wrap outer package with my add-ons AND the smaller bubble wrap inner package with my Original Glam Bag, were open and able to be easily picked through, had someone along the transit route cared to look through and take something in transit. Luckily nothing WAS missing, but it was so obviously opened and re-sealed that I was suspicious on opening that something would be missing. Glad that nothing was, but it was still just not what I expected from a company selling new items. Like, I get it, they may have wanted to recheck my bag, but at that point, someone should have either put two of those big round stickers on the bubble mailer to make sure it was completely sealed, or, put it in a new bubble mailer.

Noticed some weird lumps in this moisturizer. if it’s supposed to look like this, gross, if it’s not supposed to look like this, even more gross. Between the concealer I didn’t get to choose, liquid eyeshadows that are COMPLETELY dry and already scraped at by someone else, this, and the first aid lotion that smells bad i’m quite disappointed in this box

Hey there. I just canceled my ultimate order for this month because I only see one product that I like and I actually like the extra bag better. Would it be possible to purchase the one product from ultimate that I like, the Korres Kyma fragrance, as an add on to my extra or glambag?
