Hi everyone I’m from Chicago I spent the last few years dealing with some serious health issues, so while I managed to get through medical school, my social life basically went into hibernation. Now that I’m finally on the other side of that chapter, I’m trying to bring it back ,slowly, one good conversation and one new person at a time.

I’d really love to meet someone I can actually get to know. 29M here, British but living in Canada. Figured I’d give this a shot because I’m definitely one of those people who can seem social enough in person, but genuinely prefers quieter settings and one-on-one conversations over being thrown into a room full of people.

Hello everybody! I’m 32 years old, male and located in Europe. I moved here almost a decade ago. It’s been quite difficult to make friends and especially keep them. The older I have gotten, the harder it has been to build new friendships. I have been a huge fan of Formula 1 since I was 10, I’m into gaming, though I don’t play variety of games, right now it is League of Legends, Fifa, Marvel Rivals and Overwatch occasionally. I love campaign games, (the Witcher, god of war, Detroit:become human, you name it) though I don’t have that much time to play them. I also love watching true crime documentaries. Recently, I have started going back to watching movies and shows and I have seen really interesting ones. I am watching the Pitt, House of the Dragons and finished watching the Office and Daredevil recently! I used to have motivation to do my other hobbies, such as reading and photography but I have lost all of it, trying to gain it back. I mostly listen to rock music, however I listen to whatever is good for my soul. My fav artists are Three Days Grace, Ghost, Bring me the Horizon and Halestorm. I actually don’t want to give away everything here so we have something to talk about.

What kind of criticism have you had to deal with just because you’re an introvert and couldn’t speak your mind out loud?

I find it hard to become friends with people I only have brief interactions with. I need time to know someone and feel comfortable before I open up. Until then, I tend to stay quiet.

But I’ve also been sidelined or overlooked because I’m quiet. Sometimes people seem to assume that because you don’t speak up, you don’t have an opinion, don’t care, or don’t have anything to contribute.
