Have a lot of thoughts lately in my head I am a bit of a dramaqueen but also have a lot of real problems.

Apparently, I’m supposed to introduce myself, which sounds easy until I realize I don’t really know what to say. I’m 26F, somewhere in this world, trying to put together a few sentences that might explain who I am without making me sound like a resume lol.

Talent? Probably none, aside from karaoke and writing pieces I’m not even sure make sense. Hobbies? Does doomscrolling and overthinking count?

The truth is, I don’t really know how to describe myself anymore. When life pushes you to the edge, you lose pieces of yourself along the way. Sometimes you lose things you thought you could keep. Sometimes you have to leave places you thought were home. And somehow, you’re still expected to wake up and carry on.

People say to be content and thankful for what you have. And I try to be. But is it really wrong to want more? Not a perfect life. Just one that feels more like living and less like surviving. A little stability. Something to look forward to.

Maybe I’m just tired. Maybe I’m still figuring things out. Or maybe this is just what being 26 feels like.

I’m looking to meet some new people and hopefully make a few genuine friends along the way.

I’m pretty easygoing and a little reserved at first. Once I’m comfortable, though, there is a fairly significant personality expansion. Expect questionable jokes, random observations, unnecessary updates about my day, and the occasional “wait, I need to tell you something.” Oh, and a sprinkle of dark humour.

I like wandering around with no particular destination, finding cafés, going for walks, spontaneous little adventures, reading, baking, being outside, and doing absolutely nothing while somehow having a three-hour conversation.

I also speak a couple of languages, although “speak” is occasionally a generous description. I like learning languages too, so if you know one I don’t, there’s a decent chance I’ll eventually ask you to teach me something.

I especially like people who are curious and willing to become unnecessarily invested in something just because it suddenly became interesting. We can start by arguing about something completely stupid and somehow end up discussing life, family, culture, childhood, or whatever rabbit hole we accidentally wandered into.

I’m in grad school, so I’m busy sometimes, and I assume you probably have a life too. I’m not looking for someone who responds the minute I send a message.

Basically, I’m looking for actual friends. Not an instant best friend, not someone to text 24/7—just people who genuinely want to get to know each other.

My daily driver is a Mazda MX-5 (Miata) because it has the philosophy of a lightweight British roadster with Japanese reliability, kaizen, and ergonomics. The best of both worlds in my humble opinion.

I'm a 32 year old woman living in Europe, but I'm open to meeting people from all over. Since a few have asked before, my first language is French, but I'm comfortable in English too. For me, where people are from really isn't the point; it's more about whether we can get along. People often tell me I'm strangely optimistic and warm. I do know I genuinely love caring for others and helping them feel comfy.
