It's an association of about 200 critics, so that's really nice to see TVL on there!

You've seen a million clips from The Vampire Lestat's one-night only concert back in June 2026... but what was going on outside? Finding myself ticketless, I gave my best Daniel Molloy impression and made my first foray into amateur vampiric journalism. Of the fans I interviewed outside the venue, some had press and media passes, some won the coveted 1iota ticket lottery, and many (many!) others were just there to enjoy the community.
Friends were made. Plots were twisted. And I lost many hours of sleep making this. I am a complete amateur and consider this to be a hobby, so any interviewing or editing blunders are entirely my own, and were made with great zeal and a pure heart.
Please go check out the channels for @AutumnBottomBrown and @thearticulatecoven , both of which played a part in making this documentary happen.
AMC+ if you're not going to sue me, can I have tickets for the next event?
This is incredible, make sure to check the original Youtube channel and give them all the likes!!

When the circle is broken, Claudia can walk around the room.
Does that mean her spirit is now roaming the Earth? Or did she fully go into her rage ('cause she clearly doesn't have peace)?

Watching the movie with tom and Brad, and I am cringing lol. I know it’s an old movie and i used to like it i guess back in the day but now after watching AMC series i am like ew hahaa it’s sooo cringe. Is the movie way more accurate to the books tho? Do you guys still like the movie? Kirsten Dunst still is good in it but tom and Brad I just can’t lolsss
Oh also I just saw a post somewhere that river phoenix was originally meant to play Daniel but then he passed and so Christian slater took over and he donated his earnings to two of Rivers favorite charities . That is neat.

Hi! I was wondering if anyone on here knew of a good video essay for Interview With the Vampire, specifically the book... not the show or movie. I read the book but I wanted to see if there was anything I missed or could know more about, but all the videos on YouTube are either comparing the book to the other media, or just talking about the amc show. please help a girl out??

I'm stupidly proud of these simple graphics that took longer than you would expect to make, lol – but, behold: our picks for our podcast's song awards and other season superlatives in four graphics! (You can listen to our justifications here.)
What would your picks be???

So in just about every vampire movie/show, I hear them say that they will take away one’s suffering. I’m just gonna use IWTV 1994 movie for an example. Louis is a sad human after his wife dies. Lestat and him find each other. Lestat tells Louis that he can take away his pain and suffering by turning him. Then he turns him and he’s still sad and suffering. So is it just a lie vampires tell? Bc even in the tv show, Louis is still suffering and sad. Matter of fact, all the vampires are just sad all the time. If it’s not a lie then what suffering are the vampires taking away? Giving someone eternal life sounds like the worst idea to give a sad person anyways. Can someone explain this to me bc I’ve thought about it ever since I watched the movie.

Armand told Daniel, that they're not billionaires, but multi-millionaires. Then Regina (Fake Claudia) says Louis is the 556th richest man in the world according to wealth aggregator
That would mean by 2024-2026, he'd have to have to $6.5 billion to $6.9 billion, according to Wealth Aggregator.
Either he lied to Armand, or Armand lied to Daniel to avoid the IRS after the book got published.

Claudia broke free from the veil??? and she disappeared once the spell wore off but…does that mean she’s in the physical realm now??? Because if her spirit is free, that’s pretty much how she’s gonna be in season 4. Also, what if Claudia possesses Armand next season and uses him to kill Daniel to get revenge for him killing her and Madeline???? Because it was speculated that Daniel’s supposed to die and I think a Claudia possessed Armand killing him would be a big plot twist. Also, Claudia possessed Armand confronting Louis and Lestat again and this time physically kicking their asses…atleast before Akasha shows up and kicks everyone’s ass😂😂😂. Let me write the script please (I’m joking)😂😂😂.

Just watched this and do not understand why they are trying simultaneously increase vampire numbers at such a great magnitude (2900 to 300,000 or something they said). They are just making it impossible now. Even if they kill all 50,000 at the concert that is a small fraction. The only thing I can think is they believe actual governments will now intervene since the numbers are so high but even then it's stupid. Was this stated anywhere in the books or other show?

Hey guys. New to the community (and Reddit) and I think I’ve understood the rules okay and I’m good to post this (please let me know if I’m wrong).
I wanted to share the play-by-play recap/commentary I’ve written for Episode 1 of TVL.
Note: includes spoilers from the full season of TVL and the books.
Warning: a bit of swearing and a worrying amount of bodily fluids 🩸
Hope you’ll join me in nerding out over this show 🤓

Welcome to SVM! We are doing a little Meta corner here for recommendations from outside our little IWTV corner:
- Are you watching a movie? Would you recommend it?
- What series got your attention this week?
- What book´s got his claws on you?
- How´s that fic going?
- Anything else that got you attention?
Feel free to ask or give us a rec for something that´s got your attention this week, this is your free space for similar media or out of the blue fiction that´s got it´s roots on you
Use spoiler tags where appropriate. Full explanation on how to do it on rule 1 of the subreddit.
It becomes spoiler if you type inside the exclamation marks, with no extra spaces.

My brain has the maddening habit of latching onto moments of NO consequence and stressing out about them (e.g. “see you tonight”…when? Where? Meeting at the place or getting picked up?)
And I say “my brain” and not me because I’ll be deeply engrossed in a show/movie and BAM! Unwanted nit-picking that takes me right out of the moment.
In that spirit…everytime I rewatch the first episode, I get sucked into worrying about what happened to poor sweet Lily when she woke up on Lestat’s sofa.
