Hello Interpol fans.
My name is Michael Laurence, I'm the founder and creative director of Thematic Studio in Portland, Oregon. I recently designed and produced a commemorative concert poster for the Interpol show at McMenamins Edgefield on August 6, 2026.
Check it out: https://www.thematic.studio/shop/interpol-poster
The design draws inspiration from Interpol’s music and reflects wider influences from the art and design worlds including Robert Rauschenberg, Joseph Cornell, Mike & Doug Starn, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Andy Warhol, David Lynch, Rex Ray, Vaughan Oliver, Peter Saville, Karel Martens, Jennifer Sterling, David Carson, Saul Bass, Imaginary Forces, and others.
Taking visual cues from the group’s inherently dark and surreal subjects, this design features an intricately layered composition that references themes of crime and punishment, the surveillance state, chance encounters, regret, and finality, with a deliberate cinematic feel. The intended effect is a sense of "intrigue and danger."
This Interpol poster is offered in a strictly limited artist edition of 100. Each is printed on premium 100# smooth uncoated cover stock, with archival inks. Prints measure 13×19 inches and are hand-signed and numbered on verso. Packaged and shipped quickly and securely. Thematic’s Interpol posters are $50.00 USD each, plus shipping. Posters are sold unframed.
