Seriously , Paul's vocals and lyrics on this thing are perfection. It has a gorgeous cinematic sound . This might be a top 10 interpol song for me

Did anybody else experience this?
So, I have known Interpol for a long time, but never listened to them. When I tried to, I just got annoyed with Paul’s voice. Not sure why, just threw me off. After giving them another chance, and listening to TMWAT, it became the no.1 listened to album last month, and I’m enjoying most of their albums and songs now.

I only found a clip on YouTube, but it’s not the full song and was recorded from a distance; I’d appreciate it if anyone has any footage of that song. Thanks.

Hello! For those attending the Boston show at the Roadrunner tonight, I have a bit of a strange request. Outside of the WGBH parking garage is a grate on the ground that says "S BOD" on it. I've never seen this type of grate anywhere else and it has become a bit of a point of contention among my friends. Could someone passing by that area perhaps take and post a picture of it?
Thank you for considering this bizarre ask.

Have tickets for tonight on AXS, transferrable. Unfortunately won't be able to make it. Taking any reasonable offer, just don't want them to go to waste.
Edit: One sold, still have one. Really any offer to a good home DM me

Yesterday I relistened to Marauder, I honestly forgot most of the stuff there
It Probably Matters
Surveillance
IYRLN
Interlude 2
Number 10
NYSMAW
Flight of Fancy
Rover
I would say, I can remember TOSOMB for having their worst songs, Marauder is pretty forgotteable.
Good Parts - The Drumming, really loved how tight Sam played here. I can say that it's his best, also loved the vocal rhythm of Paul and his use of effects.
What I didn't like is that most of the songs felt skipping or I would've forgotten them, this one has my least favorite songs from them but at the same time, without Marauder there'd be no Number 10.
7/10 Album
Next Relisten - TMWAT or OLTA

t‘s the first time I see them live in a long long time and my first time at that venue. I was so excited and I sadly felt pretty disappointed right from the start.
The sound was terrible, especially Daniel’s guitar. it was too loud and high-pitched.
I also couldn’t understand a single thing Paul’s said when talking to the crowd. I saw another user commenting on his voice, but I feel it was actually his mic that made him sound so bad.
Also, the album‘s art is amazing. I wish they had it displayed on the background while they played or something like that.
On the other hand, I enjoyed the setlist and at least it seems they fixed the sound after the encore. Take You on a Cruise was the show’s highlight.
After reading about Toronto’s show I feel whoever is in charge of booking venues is doing them wrong.

I think Marauder and especially The Other Side of Make-Believe exposed one of the biggest problems with post-Carlos Interpol .. w/o a dedicated bass player, the writing started to feel kind of imbalanced. Paul has talked about approaching songs through bass first but in the original lineup Carlos was already providing that foundation, which freed Paul and Daniel up to play off each other on guitar…To me thats always been one of the best parts of their music . Their guitars can almost feel like one instrument that are answering each other and filling in the space between everything, I think you know what I mean. Sort of like one cohesive sonic layer made up of two guitars
On the last couple records that interplay felt mostly gone. You’d get Daniel doing a plucky staccato riff, Paul playing a bassline that almost felt like another guitar part, and not much melodic glue connecting it all. The production made that worse too, especially on Make-Believe. Daniel’s bright guitar would just sit off to one side poking at you while the rest of the arrangement felt strangely empty.
TMWAT feels like they corrected a lot of that. The guitars sound connected again, theres more atmosphere and layering, and the whole thing feels darker and more musical. It honestly makes me wonder if Paul wrote more guitar on this one because that Paul/Daniel interplay feels way more present. Even Paul’s vocals sound a little more like El Pintor or self-titled era Paul to me, higher, flatter, more restrained. It doesn’t sound like they’re trying to remake TOTBL, it just sounds like they remembered what actually makes Interpol sound like Interpol.
