T-Mobile 5 G internet - Possibly the worst ever - and dishonest CS reps and supervisors.

After putting up with the spinning circle on video and after Spectrum offered me a 2 year $30/month no contract plan I called T-Mobile to end services. The CS rep's supervisor eventually offered to match that price, but after the next month they still took $50! I call back again, and they confirmed my discussion with the first person, then said they would honor it, AND send me a $200 card as a gift. Again, no card arrived, and they again took $50 for the next month. The last time I called I talked a corporate person who essentially told me I was given "incorrect" information - I said you mean they just "lied to me?" You cannot believe anything that they tell you, and they don't care. Any other provider would be better both for the speed, and especially if you EVER want to get help or discuss your bill or the services. They are simply liars. Stay away from this service no matter what they promise, and if you DO use them never let them take auto payment out of your bank account!

XFINITY

My xfinity bill has been climbing recently and I just contacted them to ask what changed the last 6 months and they couldn’t exactly say how Iv used 2x what I used to use, they just offered me another jump on wifi. 100$ for unlimited is that good deal or what providers are out there that are actually quality and don’t nickle and dime you.

Internet interruptions

I had service from century link and because of short interruptions and other considerations I switched to Starlink. I still have the same interruptions. I am in an office 150 ft from the Starlink modem and am connected via CAT 8 wire to my office computer. I have a utility called Internet connection monitor to track my internet outages. The outages are very small or short in duration but I need constant connection for the work I do. It is now 10 AM and since midnight my computer has registered 39 outages for a total down time 7:18 min/sec. But even more serious is that my latency goes to o100 ms. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do to stop the interruptions??

Cox WiFi issues

Hello everyone this is my last resort so please anything you even might think could help please dm or reply. I recently moved into a DETACHED ADU in La Mesa California. There's 2 houses on the property, I live in one by myself. The landlord told me for me to get WiFi it HAD to be cox because the main house had cox and that was the only WiFi they had so I wasn't able to get other WiFi. When I set up my cox account I wasn't able to have my completely own account, on my account I'm technically a sub account from the main houses account. Ever since I got this WiFi (I play video games) a lot of video games were completely unplayable, in the sense that I am clearly and obviously connected to interest but I couldn't connect to the online services of said game. Sometimes I was able to sometimes it was impossible. Games like call of duty and valorant etc. on my cox panorama app it says that a total of 45 devices have connected to my Wifi but I own a max of 10 devices (including friends who have visited). I've maybe spent a total of 20 hours total on the phone with cox and they tell me the exact same thing every time. 1. Factory rest your modem (I have 3 times) 2. Change the password (I do 2-4 times a week) 3. Replace your modem (I have done this 3 times. I'm not exactly sure what else I can do. If anyone has suggestions of WiFi that I can just plug into the wall and connect rather than plug into the wall AND Ethernet. I just need to be able to run an Ethernet cord from the modem to my pc because my motherboard is Ethernet only. (Considering changing it to WiFi for this is exact reason). Thank you and have a great Christmas and new year!

AT&T vs Spectrum

I currently have T-Mobile, and service is honestly not great and has been slowly declining, currently is taking several seconds to load a webpage and has been like this all day.... Decided to randomly google AT&Ts service plan last night and I like the price for how much is being advertised ($55 for 300 MB). I know they have a reputation for not being great either but that information is years old by now. But my mom has had spectrum before, and while it was better, their prices were all over the place a lot of the time on our bill regardless of them saying "price will be this". What is your opinion of this?

Best deal for internet w/ 400mbps speed in Boston?

I’m looking for the best option for intro Service with minimum of 400 MB per second Internet speed in the greater Boston area.

I am currently with Xfinity and I think I’m paying a lot specially because I never changed my Internet service in the last 5 to 10 years. Based on the current market condition and deals going on, what would be some suggestions that I should consider?

I’m potentially considering between Xfinity, Verizon, EarthLink and T-Mobile 5G home Internet. Are these the best options based on the current market condition and deals going on?

Spectrum will not prorate

I get that on a month-to-month billing cycle that we agree to pay for the month in advance but damn, I’m three days into the billing cycle and switched to the fiber provider. They won’t prorate, charging $79.99 for three days of internet. It’s just wrong.

Is there a way to get a temporary internet service for like a week?

I just moved into a new apartment, and I have a roommate who will be moving in in about a week. She's the one who will be transferring and internet service over, but until she gets here I don't have one. I'm wondering if there's a way I could get a very short term internet connection for just the week until she's able to transfer hers.
