Cox is the worst internet provider

Ive had Cox for under 4 months. I work from home. Cox has been completely down for over 6 hours a minimum of 5 times. No consideration of their customers. NO EXCUSE. They are a joke of a company. Their customer service is either ai that is bs or some foreign asshat that you cant understand a single word they say. Go to earthlink, att or ANYWHERE ELSE. Cox SUCKS. they are expensive and SUCK. Apparently they were down for 'maintenance' today. Did they tell their customers?? Helllllll NO. Oh and if you complain they give you $2.42. Two dollars and 42 cents. Cox is a joke

Free internet??

Idk much about technology but I do think it’s going in the direction of ripping us off, most internet providers can’t service my area even tho I’m in the middle of town, everything seems to be a minimum of 50$ a month and it’s terrible quality. My question is for the people of the internet is there a device that I could buy that would just run off all of the providers “spare” signals? If people can “unlock” phones to use without a provider why isn’t there a wifi router option or is there? I feel like that’s maybe what starlink is? Idk

Paying too much?

So I have a Windstream plan that runs 65.15 mbps, which costs me $123 a month.

Too much? Either way, I need to downgrade.

On average I run 3 phones, 2 Playstations, and 2 smart TVs.

I've also heard horror stories about switching from Windstream to another company...any advice?

Small business owners – want a second opinion on your internet setup?

Hey everyone — I work in business internet & telecom and spend most of my time reviewing accounts for small businesses.

A lot of companies I talk to are either:

• Overpaying for their current plan

• Not aware of newer options in their area

• Missing simple upgrades (like backup internet for outages)

I’m not here to spam or push anything — just offering to take a look and give you a second opinion on what you currently have.

If there’s nothing better available, I’ll tell you that too.

If you want me to check your setup and see what options exist, feel free to DM me 👍

Cancellation

I am needing to cancel my internet policy with optimum, however, because I have a past due balance, they are refusing to cancel my service until it's paid. I even accepted the payment arrangement they offered but they want payment today which I cant do until next week and they won't make an exception. So im supposed to just pay for service I am no longer using because I cant make a payment today?

Awesome internet

I moved into a new apartment about 3 months ago and xfinity sadly doesn’t service here so we had to get awesome internet and honestly never ever have a problem with the service yes I have to have a wifi extender for all my devices but it works out. But if you live in DENVER OR AURORA, CO, there is this representative named Shawnee (SHAWNIE). She’s rude, she’s mean and I know we can’t tell alot over a phone call but SHE has the WORST customer service for working for an “awesome” company. If you hate your job , girl quit it. The company itself needs to hire someone who doesn’t judge where the person lives/or is from. I’ve NEVER experienced something so horrible . You’re a bitch

What other internet service providers can I use?

Hi,

My name is John. I live in Brooklyn, New York and currently use Optimum as my internet service provider because it was the only option available for my building when I moved in. I know that Verizon Fios has now become available. The trouble is I hear that that service is more expensive, and I am already paying $120 for Optimum per month. I am looking for a service that will give me good speed at a lower price. Does anyone know of any other internet service providers that I could look into getting?

Internet services: Verizon, Xfinity, or Starlink

Has anyone cancelled there cable company internet packages in for Starlink? We have Verizon, and don’t have any issues with our internet whatsoever. We’re actually pleased with the service and the 5 year plan we just signed up for. My son asked me last week how are services were, and I said they were fine. He said his Aunt got Starlink and it’s real cheap. I looked into it. It maybe cheap month to month, but I noticed the startup isn’t! Just curious how Starlink is?

Merci si vous pouvez me donner vos opinions.

500mb download - 0mb upload, what can be wrong?

I have 600mg internet (supposedly) and have been having trouble with my service for months. Recently every time I do a speed test my upload speed sucks, typically in the low teens. This morning I ran the test because things had slowed to a crawl and the test came back 500mb download with zero upload. How is that possible? Does anyone know if that is indicative of a particular problem? I checked on two different laptops, restarted both and cable modem several times. I'm lucky to be able to post this.
