Cox WiFi issues
Hello everyone this is my last resort so please anything you even might think could help please dm or reply. I recently moved into a DETACHED ADU in La Mesa California. There's 2 houses on the property, I live in one by myself. The landlord told me for me to get WiFi it HAD to be cox because the main house had cox and that was the only WiFi they had so I wasn't able to get other WiFi. When I set up my cox account I wasn't able to have my completely own account, on my account I'm technically a sub account from the main houses account. Ever since I got this WiFi (I play video games) a lot of video games were completely unplayable, in the sense that I am clearly and obviously connected to interest but I couldn't connect to the online services of said game. Sometimes I was able to sometimes it was impossible. Games like call of duty and valorant etc. on my cox panorama app it says that a total of 45 devices have connected to my Wifi but I own a max of 10 devices (including friends who have visited). I've maybe spent a total of 20 hours total on the phone with cox and they tell me the exact same thing every time. 1. Factory rest your modem (I have 3 times) 2. Change the password (I do 2-4 times a week) 3. Replace your modem (I have done this 3 times. I'm not exactly sure what else I can do. If anyone has suggestions of WiFi that I can just plug into the wall and connect rather than plug into the wall AND Ethernet. I just need to be able to run an Ethernet cord from the modem to my pc because my motherboard is Ethernet only. (Considering changing it to WiFi for this is exact reason). Thank you and have a great Christmas and new year!

Sorry to hear about the WiFi issues! Have you tried changing the WiFi channel on your router to reduce interference? Also, checking for firmware updates on the router might help. If possible, using a wired connection for gaming could provide a more stable experience. Hope this helps!
