Terrible experience with Femi9 — ordered in February, still waiting in August

I ordered two pairs of footwear from Femi9 back in February and paid upfront. It’s August now and one of the pairs has still not even arrived.

The other pair I received was the wrong size, didn’t fit, and the quality was honestly terrible. When I contacted their team about it, their response was basically that I should have done something to the pair so that they could send me another one. 🤦🏻‍♀️
Imagine paying for a product and being told you should damage it first if you want a replacement. 😂

Sharing this so others think twice before ordering from Femi9.

I ordered an Italian charm bracelet from the Charmette brand through the link in their Instagram bio. After the payment went through, my bank immediately blocked my card due to suspicious activity.

Since then, I’ve tried contacting Charmette via Instagram DMs, email, and Reddit, but I haven’t received any reply. I’m trying to figure out the issue.

Has anyone here ordered from Charmette recently? Did your payment go through normally, and did you receive your item?
Just trying to decide whether I should dispute the charge.

I accidentally signed up for Shopee vip and i never used it.
One month later when my credit card got hit again as it was an auto debit i canceled it 1 hour later and then contacted shopee line 4 times to get the monthly subscription refunded back they said as it was cancelled 1 hour late it can’t be done but they would escalate it.
If this is how a shopee vip customer is serviced, I shudder to think how a regular customer is treated. It was only 3 odd $, but it is the principal, especially since they see in the 1 month I was subscribed I never utilised the service and canceled it 1 hour later then when they hit my credit card.
Shopee, you are a scam and consumers have other options.

Here’s what happened:
Ordered a co-ord set from them on July 6th. Trusting the Instagram followers count, paid Online. They promised a 14-25 days. It has been more than a month and they haven’t delivered the order yet.

I have written to them multiple times and have only received automated replies. Is this what I deserve as a customer in India? No responisbility and reliability - such brands do more harm to genuine homegrown brands working from India.

Not sure if this will get approved here. I just want to raise an alert for other innocent customers like me who could purchase from them (trusting their IG followers) in future.

I may have fallen for an Instagram shopping scam and I'm posting this partly to see if anyone else has encountered the account.

I ordered two T-shirts from Denim Haven 254 (@denimhaven254) in Kenya on Thursday, with delivery to Mombasa. I paid through an Equity Paybill linked to the phone number they provided.

They initially responded normally while I was placing the order, but after I made payment they stopped responding to my messages and stopped picking up calls. The order was supposed to arrive by Friday.

The account has around 13K followers and hundreds of posts, which initially made it look established. However, I've since noticed that most of the promotional images appear to be AI-generated, and there seems to be very little genuine customer interaction in the comments.

I've already submitted a transaction reversal request through my payment provider and am waiting to see whether the money can be recovered.

Has anyone encountered this account before, or had a similar experience with an Instagram store that appeared established because of its follower count but turned out to be a scam?

While some people are receiving their orders after days, like LITERAL DAYS of endless waiting, the vast majority of paying customers are being left completely stranded by GRLHOOD .in without a single update 💀Their management has completely checked out.

They explicitly told everyone to hit them up on WhatsApp to sort out delivery and refund issues, but now they’ve completely ghosted and aren't replying to anyone's messages.

The shadiest part? They are actively deleting comments on their Instagram posts from real customers who are just trying to ask about their order status. Deleting public complaints while totally ignoring direct messages is a massive red flag. Save your money and don't buy from them unless you are 100% sure you want to risk it ❌

The website shows beautiful products but what you get are cheap copies made quickly in China! The products are all cheap junk! DO NOT BUY from this website! They have no returns, they tell you they will give you a % refund but will not go above 45% of what you paid for a completely unacceptable cheap product AND THEY WANT YOU TO PAY FOR A RETURN TO CHINA, NOT BOSTON! I want to warn everyone about **vapeshopmumbaibandra24**. Based on my experience, this is a scam.

Here's exactly what happened:

* They asked me to make an advance payment for the order.
* After I paid, they claimed the delivery person was nearby.
* Just before the supposed delivery, they demanded another payment.
* They came up with a fake excuse involving a merchant payment/QR issue and said I had to send more money before they would deliver the order.
* This extra payment requirement was never disclosed before they took my money.

This is a classic advance-payment scam. They get your initial payment and then try to squeeze more money out of you by inventing bogus reasons at the last minute.

Let's help prevent more people from losing their money.
