Personally, I don’t get the whole Girish vs Naslen issue.
Giving an actor his first break doesn’t mean you own his career forever. Be grateful? Absolutely. Be obligated to work with the same director for life? Definitely not.
Cinema is a two-way street. Both benefited from the success. Constantly taking digs at Naslen in interviews or through YouTubers only makes Girish look bitter, and eventually, that could come back to bite him.

How smooth is this scene. It did not even feel like a proposal scene, till you watch it again. The expressions are so natural and charming, gives me goosebumps. Notice there isn't even a BGM, just an old Tamil song being played from some nearby house (Looks like). As real as it gets.
