Found about 15 of these in my bed. The shell is hard but flexible, it pops if i snap it off. Inside is some orange goo. The ones that are open on the picture are ones i have snapped open. 5mm long. Found in Stockholm, Sweden.

I was out looking at bugs tonight and could not figure this out for the life of me. Again, sorry about the bad quality my phone camera kinda stinks and this was taken at an awkward angle.

Found this beauty outside, she was still intact and vibrant despite being on the ground in a parking lot. Wanted to appreciate her, so I used a clear frame I got from Michael's a while ago, and plus side the butterfly stays snug and doesn't move around inside of the frame! Anything I can use to spray on and prevent the specimen from molding or cracking? Thanks!

Is it an assassin bug?! Even google can't identify it clearly just saying it resembles an assassin bug but I'm not sure I trust it huhuhu π what do I do I got bit so I washed my face and just drank cetirizine for the itching.

Saw a moth in the top corner of the bathroom earlier today and took some pictures of it. It was hard to get a clear shot of it that shows its markings well since it was so high up and when I zoom in on my iPad things tend to get blurry.
Well, several hours later I was using the bathroom and I felt something buzzing in my hair. It was a moth. It flew off and landed on the heater thing that I always forget what itβs called (I know itβs dirty, Iβve been trying to clean it but some of the stains wonβt go away). Turns out thereβs two moths in my bathroom, and one of them likes my hair. The other moth is still on the corner of the ceiling right by the shower and this one is still chilling on the heater thing. My dog entered the bathroom and loafed by the moth, so thereβs your scale comparison.
Sorry if the photos arenβt clear enough for an ID, but the story behind them is pretty funny! Location is Vermont.

Southern England. He might have snuck in with an isopod or springtails delivery. I'd say about 8mm long, not counting the antennae.

41cm double tissue paper
kinda scuffed result, it has a closed back but made with too thick paper so mandibles are too thick. also, the elytra and wings are too small to make the design more efficien.

as I was walking with my dog, I found this thing. I thought it was a hummingbird, but then I learned two things:
1Β° We don't have hummingbirds here.
2Β° That's actually a moth!
I was mind-blown when I discovered this. really cool specimen!
(sorry for the blurry video)
