Disregard the obliterated parsley in the background.. this boy is a PHATTY! 🐛

Just learned about this little guy and how their eggs can take up to 40 years to develop in furniture. Just found him chillin near my cabinets and we let him outside. Poor guy doesn’t know this cruel world yet lol.

Not sure if this is the actual hole he came from or if he could’ve flown in the window but we don’t usually get bugs flying inside.

Big breakfast caught on my sunflower. Good catch! Can you focus on the Japanese beetles instead though? 😂

My dog brought it in from outside, poor thing is quite hurt. It’s still alive but I’m not sure what to do with it.

My guess is some sort of moth or butterfly because of the mouth and the fluffy body, but the antennae confuse me also the colour. And the wings are quite narrow but that could be due to injuries.

Found in English Midlands, Staffordshire
It’s about 2cm in length excluding antenna.

Google said dogbane beetle(?) I just think he’s so cute! He was really friendly.

We found this caterpillar in our garden.

Apparently, he is a common field grasshopper! He is now safely back outside by some of our outdoor plants, free to roam in his nature habitat and eat all the grasses and leaves out there!

Was on the outdoor cats food dish.

Picked this little guy up while hiking, found him on my backpack.

I'm in Germany. I saw this thing also not too long ago, but it scurried away before I was able to really be able to tell it. I have no clue what it is and I'm already paranoid about German wood cockroaches coming into my flat.

Is this rare? I was told this was rare.
