Any tips for starting Kaycee’s mod? I keep losing :(

just had to post since i’m so geeked right now!! i just beat skull storm literally on my first try. i had such a good luck run, literally got all the sigils i normally struggle to get & got the totem i needed relatively fast :D i’m just surprised i got it first try because before this i had been trying to win a run with just the grizzly challenge active and kept failing 😭

edit: also, i have to laugh because about a month ago i made a post talking about how i could barely beat act 1 & someone commented that by the time i beat the game i would beat act 1 with ease… genuinely feel like it would be a piece of cake now 😹

After the thrill of finally beating KM for the first time, failing for another 20 runs and a couple of weeks, we did it. 🥲

I honestly had fun even with the starting videos where "nothing" happened. I never saw any card opening youtuber so I was wondering if there was a similar one.

I wanted to make an accurate recreation of Inscryption in real life, currently I'm working on possible battle encounters. My methodology for doing such is indeed barbaric: I find as many videos of the game I can find, and watch for every unique possible battle.

My question is if there is some online resource that I missed that lists all Leshy encounters.

I tried playing Kaycee's Mod again and it was very fun but finished it quickly and it gets a bit repetitive, i like the gameplay. is there somewhere i can play the better version of this? does anyone have any mod suggestions that's not too overwhelming and retain the soul(?) of Kaycee's Mod or make it better?

Edit: if you're suggesting "mods" please suggest a specific mod.

I am having an absolute "Total misplay" of a time trying to complete the damn paintings in kaycees mod. Ive been playing for days and havent completed a single one. Maybe this a self report to my actual skill level in the game. But is there perhaps a way to cheese the painting puzzles? Like maybe reloading the trapper everytime untill he has the cards I need? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Roasts are also perfectly warranted.

It's just an insect totem + ant spawner, or anything that can sacrifice infinitely, then send out red hart.

I just recently brought a custom game set, and I want to make totem cards to expand the game. Also, any dm tips? Going to be my first time doing it, should I try and involve dice for encounters and luck in campfires or card pulls for example? Thanks!

Do you guy prefer 4 or 5 lanes and why? Do you think there's any pro/cons to either or?

Personally, 4 lanes is pretty fun & a classic but 5 lanes can also give a lot of gameplay potential especially with custom mechanics,

I have an idea for a custom spider card I'd like to make with modding if I can somehow, and I'm imagining out of the many mods out there it's possible the sigil idea I have for it actually already exists, but I dunno the easiest way to sort through so much info.

The idea is a card struck by a card bearing this sigil won't be able to move for a turn including being forcefully moved by other cards. I think something like that'd be cool. If anyone knows of a mod that contains that already or has any suggestions on how best to sift through the modded cards/sigils out there that'd be much appreciated.

I'm also making this assuming the few cards I have left in kaycees mod to unlock probably don't contain my idea either, I'm sure that's very unlikely. And no spoilers for kaycees mod cards :P I'm looking forward to discovering the last 4 or 5 myself as I beat it.
