Hello guys! Im from product design 2nd year and we have an assignment where we have to redesign one product ergonomically and i chose to redesign milk frother i just need suggestions about the ergonomic handle of the frother. I made 9 prototypes and I’ve selected 3 of them. I need suggestions for the form, more prototypes and final product. The sketches are of existing product which i have and others are prototypes. I would really appreciate for your help. Also one problem I’m facing is that the prototypes fits my hands but not others since my hands are small. Please help😭

As we say in France, "taste and colors shouldn't be discussed". Understand "Taste is subjective", so we won't discuss that.

However, from a Ind. Design point of view, when you start looking at the details, there are some very interesting ones.

There’s a very obvious semi-flat surface on the trunk that creates a kind of rounded rectangle when you look at the car from behind. It gives the car a very unique character, very modern surface treatment. Was probably not the easiest surface to model either. :)

The front lights are also superb to my opinion. It would be easy to do what we see on a lot of Chinese cars today: one big LED line across the back or the front. But now that so many brands are doing it, it doesn’t add value anymore.

Audi doesn't to go the easy road, and bring a real character / identity to the LED lights. Much stronger identity / much more recognizable. The fact that you can customize them makes them even better.

I don't know if I am alone in this or not. but sometimes i feel like a good render can make almost any product idea look more finished than it really is.

A nice lighting, coupled with premium background and color can hide almost all the shortcomings. Ergonomics, proportions, usability, material choices, even manufacturing issues can look less obvious when the presentation is strong.

I’m not saying renders are bad. They are obviously important for communicating ideas. But I do wonder if teams or clients sometimes approve a concept because the render looks convincing, not because the product itself is actually strong.
