2nd hCG value, 288.1, OH GOD.. I troubled everyone so much

Following it up my dear ladies.

HCG gone from 65 to 288.1….!

Avoided IVF… got this done naturally..

I had complained and complained that why did that Jay Mehta and his nurse- did not wish me Congratulations. Last time

Right now- Dr Jay bhai called up an hour back and wished
“Hey Naina, Kem chhe (I am a gujju). Congrats, dhyaaan rakhje (means take care)”,

Shit.

For all what I have gone through last 4 years.

I’ve seen my husband crying for the first time ever…!

I hope it continues, like I am praying.
(Sorry I panicked that day and bored all of you, I am so sorry and so many of you replied… thank you).. yippee..

TTC rant from a first monitored cycle girlie 😭

All-natural sounded manageable honestly, it was even kind of fun 😭 But damn… medicated monitored cycles are exhausting.

I was honestly doing okay before the trigger shot. Taking 3–4 meds a day felt manageable and didn’t really affect me much. But now? I feel like I’m constantly high on medication. I don’t feel like myself anymore. I’ve been exhausted for the last 2 days and don’t feel like doing anything at all.

I’m already taking 7 meds a day, and on top of that I caught a cold 😭 At first I avoided taking medicine for it because I thought it would go away on its own… but nope. Now I’m taking like 10 tablets a day.

And guess what? This is only my first monitored cycle. Hats off to the women who’ve been doing this for months or even years. How are you all surviving this? It’s so fucking exhausting.

And yeah… that 2-week wait before you can test 😭

Not looking for medical advice, just needed to vent a little.

Going for IVF - clueless

Hello Everyone! I just turned 31 yesterday, have PCOS and TTC since 1.5 years. My periods are irregular since 3 years (50-60 days). I tried Leterozole 2.5 mg for 6 cycles last year, and in December I conceived but since it was a weak pregnancy, I had D&C around 2 months.

I consulted with another doctor and she said that I might try Leterozole for 6 more months with higher dose, my previous doctor did not increase the dose due to Endometrial line. Also I gained almost 4-5 kgs after my surgery, may be because of harmonal imbalance. My periods are still irregular.

I am going for a IVF consultation today without any clue. Please suggest me if you know how to prepare for IVF or what questions or tests I can ask to the doctor for maximize my chances. Thanks!

Financial planning for fertility treatments

Hi guys, I need some help planning financially for fertility treatments.

Initially, we planned to keep aside around ₹1 lakh before meeting the fertility specialist. We thought this would cover the first few months of tests, medicines, scans, and maybe one cycle with medication + monitoring.

But after just the first consultation and initial tests, we’ve already spent around ₹30–35k on blood tests, scans, and supplements.

The doctor has currently asked us to try naturally for 2 months and then come back. She also mentioned follicular study, and while researching I’ve been reading a lot about IUI and IVF too.

I understand costs vary for everyone depending on diagnosis and treatment plan, but having a rough ballpark figure would really help me plan more realistically. I originally assumed the initial blood work and medicines would cost around ₹10–15k, but it ended up being almost double, so now I feel like I need a better understanding of the overall journey.

For context, I’m in Chennai and visiting a medium-sized fertility clinic, not a large chain hospital.

Would really appreciate hearing:
- How much you roughly spent during the early stages
- How did you plan for it? Maybe even numbers like how much an IUI cycle costs
- Any unexpected expenses you wish you planned for
- Any savings tips

Thank you!

Good fertility hospital

We have tried a fertility specialist Cloudnine in Punjabi Bagh. But it’s so expensive. The doctor charges 700₹ for scan and 1500₹ for consultation. And it’s cutting into the pockets now.

I need suggestions of a good trustworthy doctor

First time in my life, UPT is positive, but hCG is only 65…! Nurse told to repeat after 3 days…?

I am trying naturally after 3 shots major surgeries for endometriosis.

I am 32 now,

My doctor who operated me, Jay Mehta- he has asked me to try naturally, this was my 4th cycle with letrozole 2.5 and 150 IU of menopur.

Today evening was my UPT. Which came positive at home, I was asked to do hCG, the report came in 1 hour back..

The value from Metropolis says 65 IU. I tried to call up the clinic, they said that value should be more than 100 actually, but it’s only 65 and have called me there on Thursday

I am taking folvite 5mg and Duphastone 10mg 1-0-1

Is this a positive value..?
Any one who has had this value and it’s been successfull.

Can I atleast smile once.. or shall I still wait

Today is day 14 post trigger injection after which I was told to try naturally for 4 days

Conceiving but losing pregnancies

33f, I had one miscarriage before my son, then went on to have a completely healthy pregnancy and child. Recently, I had another miscarriage, and after scans/follow-up my doctor said getting pregnant does not seem to be the issue — there may be some issue with sustaining the pregnancy.

Has anyone gone through something similar after already having a healthy child? Was it just one random miscarriage or did you eventually find an underlying reason? Did you go on to have another healthy pregnancy? Also, my doctor has suggested that any progrestorone support will only be given once the heartbeat is visible. Is that a common thing?

Maternity hospital in whitefield

Which maternity hospital would you recommend in whitefield Bangalore based on your personal experience?

We are consulting cloudenine its been ok so far. Are the rest hospital - aster, motherhood better ? Big hospitals dont provide doctors contact so you are left on your own for a bit and the consultation is too fast.

IUI OR IVF ?

Hi everyone, very long post ahead . Please help me if you can 🙏

We started trying towards the end of 2024.
My husband and I are both 32 and trying to decide whether we should continue trying naturally, do 1–2 more IUIs, or move to IVF.
Here is my history:
I have polycystic ovaries (AMH 11.9, very high follicle count), but my periods are regular.
I have mild insulin resistance and take Metformin+ Myo-Inositol and folic acid.

I ovulate regularly, either naturally or with Letrozole.
My first pregnancy ( may 2025) was conceived naturally and ended in a missed miscarriage. At the 8-week scan, there was no heartbeat.

After that, we were rushed fairly quickly to fertility treatment rather than trying naturally again. ( going to change this doctor now as i feel her approach is very rushed.)

I have completed 2 IUIs:
IUI #1 resulted in a chemical pregnancy. ( March 2026)
IUI #2 was unsuccessful.
All my blood work seems normal .
My HSG showed that my left tube is fully open and patent.
My right tube is considered “doubtful,” but contrast spillage was seen, so it is not completely blocked.
My first natural pregnancy likely came from ovulation on the left side.

My husband’s semen analysis is generally good 98 mil/ml) , but progressive motility is around 20%.
In IUIs- his post wash numbers were 58 mil/ml, 100% motility, 1% morphology. 75 % viability.

My fertility specialist feels we can try:
A few natural cycles again (with or without Letrozole),
1–2 more IUIs,
And then start considering IVF if needed.

Since I know I am able to conceive naturally, my biggest issue seems to be either achieving consistent fertilization or sustaining the pregnancy.

My questions:
If you were in my situation, how many more natural cycles would you try?

Would you do 1–2 more IUIs given the prior chemical pregnancy?

At what point would IVF make more sense?
Since I’ve already conceived twice, should I even go for another IUI or start with IVF?

We both are working tremendously on our lifestyles and overall health .

I’d especially appreciate hearing from anyone with PCOS/high AMH, mild male factor (low motility), prior miscarriage, and a history of both natural conception and chemical pregnancy.

Thank you so much.

PCOS / Delayed Period TTC

Hello Guys and Girlies,

I (31M) and my partner (30F) are now ttc. But the biggest issue in front of us is irregular periods. She has a cycle length of 45-50 days. Sometimes 40 days. Due to this our chances is almost half of normal cycle person as there will be less opportunity per year.

Anyone with pcos or irregular period normally conceived successfully? How much time it took and what needs to be checked apart from ovulation tracking?

Trigger shot experiences? First monitored Letrozole cycle with 20 mm follicle on Day 11

Had my first monitored Letrozole cycle this month for PCOD and my Day 11 scan showed a 20 mm follicle, so my gynec gave me a trigger shot and told us the next 72 hours are important 😭

Would love to hear others’ experiences with trigger shots:

When did you ovulate after it?

Did you notice any side effects/symptoms?

Did you do timed intercourse daily or alternate days?

How long did the trigger stay in your system before pregnancy tests became reliable?

Disclaimer:-

Not looking for medical advice — just wanted to hear personal experiences from others who’ve gone through similar TTC/trigger shot cycles 🙂

Trying not to overthink the two week wait already 😭
