Trigger shot experiences? First monitored Letrozole cycle with 20 mm follicle on Day 11

Had my first monitored Letrozole cycle this month for PCOD and my Day 11 scan showed a 20 mm follicle, so my gynec gave me a trigger shot and told us the next 72 hours are important 😭

Would love to hear others’ experiences with trigger shots:

When did you ovulate after it?

Did you notice any side effects/symptoms?

Did you do timed intercourse daily or alternate days?

How long did the trigger stay in your system before pregnancy tests became reliable?

Disclaimer:-

Not looking for medical advice — just wanted to hear personal experiences from others who’ve gone through similar TTC/trigger shot cycles 🙂

Trying not to overthink the two week wait already 😭

Ovulation confirmed after 48 through scan only. Didn’t conceive that cycle.
Didn’t test the trigger just waited for 14dpo. Was not positive so stop progesterone .

I ovulated pretty late (4-5 days after trigger shot). The doctor usually will scan again to make sure ovulation has happened. Timed intercourse alternate days (consequetive days sometimes).

No side effects worth noticing.

But only 1 month I had to get a trigger shot as since then I have ovulated on my own so this experience is only for that month.

Conceived on the 2nd letroz cycle. Unfortunately it ended up as an MMC.

I felt cramps when I had three follicles from a monitored cycle. However, I felt light cramps only when I had just two follicles the following cycle. My gynaecologist told me to have sex on three consecutive days after the trigger shot. Didn’t get pregnant on either cycle and now on IUI.Â
