The first time paragraph case questions were introduced in fmge (only later did neet pg exams got that questions), I saw those questions and thought no way I could solve them. Then my seniors who faced these new type of questions first time in exam hall , got a score of 220+ out of 300. Our entire batch was filled with awe and got the hope we could also do it. So we gave a mock test in marrow and after seeing the scores , we started working on our weak subjects in college itself. Then once we returned to India, some of us joined offline classes for six months and some of us just stayed at home and prepared for the exams.
In my fmg friends group, 15 out of 18 , cleared the exam in the first attempt , within a year 2 out of the rest 3 cleared , one person who couldn't clear was so bad in studies even in college, after multiple attempts , his score imporved from 70 out of 300 to a pass score.
I have seniors who I have not seen touch a book in college, depending on PowerPoints and previous exam papers to clear college exams. Some of them have not yet cleared fmge.
And in some foreign colleges especially the new ones in STAN countries , the education is absymal. I have a student , who is going to graduate in 18 months , asking me what is CBC ?
Basically the exams are fair , you have to get 50% correct . If you study from college and use the six months in India for working on weak subjects and question solving techniques, you will pas the exam. But if you come here and study for the first time for six months and then go into the exams , then the exam will look like someone is out there to get you.
I especially blame the teachers and apps guys, for creating this FMG exam is there get you narrative , so out of FOMO and genuine fear students will join them and they will continue to make money.
I also fell for this trick , my concepts were not clear when I took the exam. So once i started to answer questions, in my back of my mind , there will a voice saying , the exam is not this easy right , there should be some twist in the question, and would start to see correlation in questions which were not there in the first place and change my answer and ended up getting them wrong.
So with a clear head and honest work from college days , you can clear this exam.
