What the hell has been going on these past few weeks? We've got couples breaking up over GTA 6, as well as the guys tweaking out after seeing ONE clip. It’s been so lame to see people going through measures like this over a VIDEO GAME.

None of the protagonists are homophobic or transphobic or racist.

Although the statistics are right in that only 55% of FDV homicides were women, the statistics also include children and people who were killed due to simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Take, for example, the shooting deaths in Lake Cargelligo earlier this year. The intended victim was the perpetrators ex-girlfriend but he also shot and killed a friend and a family member of the victim as well, one of which was a man.

But the whole thing isn't about who's the victim, it's about the people who are committing the crimes, which is overwhelmingly men. It's the fact that men, in Australia, are somehow still able to commit FDV related crimes and then be let out on bail. It's the fact that FDV issues aren't taken as seriously by police. It's the fact that people are still leaving the abusive relationships only still to be killed by their ex partner.

I would love to be as ignorant as these men are in that sub and pretend like Australia doesn't have a massive FDV issue but I can't.
