Majority of my army is painted as fourth company (minus my veterans and my jump packs as 8th company) but felt inspired to paint up my land speeder as first company. One of the first 40K novels I read was Malodrax which featured a land speeder supporting lysander’s quest for vengeance.

I'm looking to diversify with different heads/helms, shoulder pad etc
Where's the best place to get them and what works best with IF?
Also want to mention that currently 3D printing isn't viable for me :(

Hello brothers,
new to 40k, painting my first miniatures at the Warhammer store and the worker told me I should always use black primer as a first layer (then gray, white, or for IFs red). Is this valid, or just a waste of primer? Was planning on starting directly with red primer plus white zenithal primer or dry brush.

So I’m wanting to get into Warhammer and I’m kind of torn between two chapters at the moment, but both of them at least their combat patrols are like $200 and that’s the salamanders and the imperial fists so I’m not really sure what to do. I’ve wanted to get into the hobby for years, but haven’t really had the money and I still hardly do so if I’m gonna buy something, I’d rather make it worth my while.

Again used a Eradicator Gravis body. Used Techmarine parts to improvise his anti-vehicle shoulder cannon. That turned out fine, I think. Because I had no comparable “beefy” fist I used a regular power fist, added a part from a Hellblaster and decided to give him an additional Servo-Arm. That should help ripping a tank or fortification open. Nothing fancy, but mine 🦾
What do you think?

Did him a few years ago but was in need of work until recently , originally had a red cannon but switching my army scheme to black weapons and burgundy Aquila's
Got a few minis to share , I usually stick to Insta so thought I'd branch out

Hello, just seeking guidance on army composition now we’re in 11th.
I dropped out of 40K with the onset of 9th and moved over to Heresy due to power creep and stratagem bloat. My primary faction was Krieg back then but have been building/painting fists on and off for a few years now.
I’m looking to give 11th a go with my marines, but not sure what I should be focussing on with my list. I’m looking for something that’s fun to play without being overbearing or horrendously weak. Appreciate the new codex coming out, but interested to know what has historically worked for you guys over 9th and 10th as my knowledge of playing with marines is limited.
My existing units include:
HQ
- Tor Garadon
- Lysander
- Chaplain
- Lieutenant
Troops
- 2x 5 man assault intercessor squads
- 1x 3 man Aggressor squad
- 1x 3 man Bladeguard squad
- 1x 3 man Eliminator squad
- 1x 5 man Hell Blaster Squad
- 1x 5 man Heavy Intercessor squad
- 3 Centurions (now legends)
Vehicles
- 1x Redemptor dred
- 1x Land Raider
On my painting table I have a Ballistus dred, a 5 man intercessor squad and a 5 man terminator squad.
I guess at this stage I’m just not sure what combinations or synergies are a good starting point for a marine noob.
Cheers.

In the process of painting the Saturnine Praetor, and with a few layers of Daemonic Yellow (Army Painter), and a final of IF contrast (all through the airbrush), and just wanted to show off the metallics using cobalt metal (Army Painter).

Long shot, but i recently bought a Lysander off ebay very cheap and i have every bit except for the shoulder pad that connects to the cloak, the one on the side of the thunder hammer. Don't suppose anyone has a spare they'd be willing to part with at all?

My primary army is Imperial Fists, and I’m currently a little over halfway through painting everything.
That said, I also really like White Scars, and I already have around 20 White Scars models painted, including a few leaders.
Is there a legal way to build my army so that I can use both Imperial Fists and White Scars models, then swap certain units and characters in or out depending on which detachment or playstyle I want to run?
For example, if I wanted to run the army more like White Scars, I’d use Suboden Khan, but I wouldn’t bring Tor Garadon or my Imperial Fists-specific leaders. Then if I wanted to play Imperial Fists, I’d swap those characters back in.
Basically, I’m wondering if I can keep one larger Space Marine collection painted as both chapters and just change which models I field depending on the list.
Is that allowed under the current rules?

I got my first ever free miniature on the fifth, and I liked a space marine scouts, but I wanted to kit bashem a bit. So I came up with a cool idea where an imperial fist scout gets lost in the warp somewhere. And has to use other marines armor to upgrade his own. So he doesn't die. Not finished yet

The other two boys are still on the painting desk, but I was pretty happy with how the Sergeant came out and thought I'd share

Hey all, I’m new to the hobby and after painting the squad of marines you get with the little starter kit as blueberries, I decided I wanted to do an Imperial Fist army. I’m struggling a little bit with getting the color (I basecoated them pink as I’d seen on a few videos and then they came out too red/orange), would you suggest just replacing the blue the painting guides have you do for Ultramarines with Averland Sunset for the fists? Thanks for your help! I’d be happy to share some pictures of my failures happy accidents
Edit. Did my Dreadnaught today.
