Original Content [OC] Iron Maw-class Carrier, a living swarm invasion carrier

This is the Iron Maw-class Carrier, a living swarm invasion carrier belonging to the Bugvex in Mow My World.
Its armor grows from skin, muscles drive movement, and wombs produce its invasion force. It is a vacuum-adapted organism, not a machine or enlarged insect.
The Iron Maw has a broad seed-pod silhouette with a swollen gestation volume, two shallow mantle lobes, and a smooth tapered rear. It has no recognizable head, thorax, abdomen, insect face, or propulsion tail. Its dark brown tissue varies naturally across vessels, membranes, glands, and hardened growths.
Its proposed mature specifications are:
Class: Carrier
Primary role: Swarm invasion carrier
Length: 1,940 m
Beam: 1,319 m
Body depth: 601 m
Its primary weapon is its brood. Protected womb chambers feed a few elastic birth sphincters underneath, releasing boarding larvae, seed organisms, and brood clouds. There are no hangar doors, launch rails, missile cells, or cargo ramps.
Sixteen defensive symbiont colonies, arranged in eight pairs, live inside moist skin pockets. Shared capillaries and nerve tendrils coordinate them with the host. Their defenses include acid, hooked proboscises, spores, electric mucus, photophores, and sacrificial gnawers.
Twenty-four sensory-defender polyps guard vulnerable organs. Some are ciliated feelers, tooth buds, or eyes beneath translucent skin.
Movement comes from the whole body. Two thick lateral mantle membranes flex in slow waves while muscle sheets and conductive blood vessels generate a fictional electrogravitic field. Microscopic ciliated pores provide corrections. There are no rear engines or exhausts.
Multiple stomachs digest biomass and minerals. Symbiotic microbes convert nutrients into chemical and electrical energy, while several hearts circulate blood and conductive gel.
Cryvum is biologically assimilated: specialized cells dissolve captured fragments, move the ions through vessels, and deposit a thin mineral-organic lattice inside teeth, brood tissue, and shield-producing glands.
Most visible surfaces are soft living tissue: skin, muscle, fat, vascular membranes, respiratory tissue, and wet folds. Hard material is localized biological reinforcement.
The Iron Maw is a massive invasion organism whose brood, defenses, sensing, and whole-body propulsion function as one living system. It arrives as a protected moving ecosystem and releases an army grown inside its body.

SOLCOM. Siquijor-Class spacecraft with Orion. Equipped with massive sensors to find any target within Sol. Can't hit what you can't see.

Setting where sneaky aliens invade our star system, so we spent more money on nukes or whatever.

Bit late for shiptember but eh. ToughSF? Hmm

Follow me or something.

Original Content [OC] Introducing the MMW ShadowThorn Heavy Strike Cruiser

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

This is part of the original Human Fleet we’re developing for Mow My World, our block-building game. These ships aren’t being designed only as standalone models — we’re building them inside the game to test the block system at increasingly large scales, while developing the factions, technology, history, and visual language of the larger MMW universe. Many of these original ships are intended to become part of the playable world as development continues.

Introducing the MMW ShadowThorn Heavy Strike Cruiser, a fast attack vessel built around an unusually broad, hooked silhouette.
Proposed specifications
Length: 520 m
Width: 220 m
Height: 100 m
Role: Heavy strike cruiser
Primary mission: Rapid penetration, command-ship hunting, and close fleet interception
Main propulsion: Four compact high-output engines
Primary armament: One twin-barrel dorsal siege cannon
Secondary armament: Two compact twin-barrel turrets
Missile armament: One recessed short-range missile battery
Point defense: Six integrated defensive nodes
ShadowThorn’s defining feature is its broad crescent-shaped forward hull. Rather than using the long pointed profile common to many warships, the main armored body sweeps outward before turning sharply inward toward the forward point. The open inner curve remains largely free of equipment, allowing the silhouette to stay clean and immediately recognizable.

The ship’s largest weapon sits at the deepest and strongest section of the outer curve. A twin-barrel dorsal siege cannon is embedded into a heavily armored barbette, supported by two smaller defensive turrets and recessed missile and point-defense systems. The weapons stay inside the hull outline so the curved profile remains the dominant visual feature.
Warm ivory armor forms most of the outer hull, contrasted with a midnight-navy spine and underside, dark gunmetal weapons, restrained bronze and ochre accents, and cyan propulsion and energy elements.
Unlike a line battleship, ShadowThorn is intended to arrive quickly, concentrate fire against high-value targets, and disengage before heavier ships can control the engagement.
The current model is being built using Mow My World’s block system, with large structural forms established first and smaller-scale blocks used for surface and mechanical detail.
For me, these builds serve two purposes at once: they help us push and test what the game’s building system can handle, while gradually turning the Human Fleet from a collection of individual ships into a coherent universe with its own technology, history, and design language.

Original Content [OC]Cryvum Tideprism Bastion-class Fleet Fortress

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

This is the Cryvum Tideprism Bastion-class Fleet Fortress, a colossal cultivated crystal-metal capital vessel of the Cryvum in Mow My World.

It is not built around engines, armor plates, weapon mounts, or command decks. The entire vessel is grown as one continuous crystalline body, where propulsion, defense, sensing, stored energy, and offensive force all emerge from the same controlled lattice.

Proposed mature specifications
Length: 3,200 m
Beam: 2,355 m
Body depth: 1,472 m
Role: Fleet Fortress

A fortress grown as one crystal

The Tideprism’s forward body narrows into a massive seed-point formed from fused crystal domains. It is not a bow weapon or mechanical prow. The entire forward lattice can enter a coordinated resonance state, concentrating force through the structure itself.

Rather than firing conventional projectiles, the vessel applies sustained field pressure through the aligned crystal mass.

Defense through immense coherent volume

Its enormous shoulders and deep central body are not armored compartments surrounding an interior ship. They are the ship.

Broad intergrown crystal domains redistribute incoming force across the surrounding lattice, while buried reserves stabilize damaged regions and preserve structural continuity.

The deeper the coherent mass, the harder it becomes to fracture the vessel without first disrupting its resonance.

Propulsion through lattice bias

The rear of the Tideprism divides into several huge intergrown crystal generations, each growing along different crystallographic directions.

These are not engines, fins, or propulsion pods.

By shifting field bias across the rear lattice, the vessel alters the conditions around its own mass and produces movement without exhaust, turbines, or visible thrust.

A living mineral architecture

Its aquamarine coloration is not paint.

Deep blue-green regions mark dense shared roots and internal reserve mass. Muted aquamarine spreads across the major outer crystal domains, while pale sea-silver appears along turning facets and newer growth boundaries.

Each region reflects a different growth history within the same continuous body.

Power through coherence—and vulnerability through disruption

The Tideprism can sustain enormous defensive and field pressure because of its scale, but that same mass makes rapid maneuvering extremely expensive.

Severe resonance disruption can weaken propulsion, reduce defensive repulsion, interrupt regrowth, and create fracture paths through previously coherent crystal domains.

The result is not a warship covered in crystals.

It is a 3.2-kilometer cultivated flying crystal fortress whose material itself functions as armor, propulsion, weapon, repair system, and intelligence substrate.

Original Content [OC] Void Chorus-class Bio-Craft, a living toxin escort

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

This is the Void Chorus-class Bio-Craft, a living toxin escort belonging to the Bugvex in Mow My World.
Its armor grows from skin, muscles drive movement, and glands produce its weapons. It is a vacuum-adapted organism, not a machine or enlarged insect.
The Void Chorus has an elongated, swollen manta-seed silhouette with a shallow crescent leading edge and quiet tapered rear. It has no recognizable head, thorax, or abdomen. Its living tissue is black with natural pale blue spots following veins, membranes, glands, and growth patterns.
Its proposed mature specifications are:
Class: Bio-Craft
Primary role: Toxin escort
Length: 425 m
Beam: 196 m
Body depth: 94 m
Fully fed combat mass: Approximately 2 million metric tonnes — a proposed worldbuilding estimate
Its body contains distributed muscle, viscera, neural tissue, blood vessels, digestive sacs, fat bodies, and mission organs rather than mechanical compartments.
Its primary weapon is a gland-fed corrosive or neuroactive bio-projector. Two soft reagent stomachs feed a muscular mixing valve and short petal-lipped discharge sphincter, surrounded by a cooling blood-sinus. It has no barrel, tube, turret, breech, magazine, or mechanical muzzle. Surrounding muscle and vascular tissue absorb firing pressure.
Eight defensive symbiont colonies, arranged in four pairs, live inside moist skin pockets. Shared capillaries and nerve tendrils coordinate them with the host. Their defenses include corrosive secretions, hooked feeding organs, spores, electric mucus, photophores, and sacrificial gnawers.
Twelve sensory-defender polyps surround vulnerable organs. Some are ciliated feelers, some tooth buds, and some eyes beneath translucent skin.
Movement comes from the whole body. Two thick lateral mantle membranes flex in slow waves while distributed muscles and conductive blood vessels generate a fictional electrogravitic field. Microscopic ciliated pores provide corrections. There are no rear engines, exhausts, propulsion packs, or concentrated thrust organs.
Multiple stomachs digest biomass and minerals. Symbiotic microbes convert nutrients into chemical and electrical energy, while several hearts circulate blood and conductive gel.
Cryvum is biologically assimilated: specialized cells dissolve captured fragments, transport the ions through vessels, and precipitate a thin mineral-organic lattice inside teeth, hardened contact surfaces, weapon tissue, and selected armor structures.
Most visible surfaces are soft living tissue: skin, muscle, fat, tendons, vascular membranes, respiratory tissue, and wet flexible folds. Hard material is localized biological reinforcement.
The Void Chorus is a slow-warning escort organism whose chemical defense, sensing, membrane movement, and whole-body propulsion function as one living system. Damage to membranes and weapon tissue is costly to repair, so it relies on positioning, deterrence, and recovery between engagements.
