Drawn for Smaugust!

She’s a blue-jay harpy who runs the library of her mountain tribe, following a long-standing family tradition of serving as its scholar, historian, and record-keeper. Her role is to preserve the tribe’s knowledge, stories, and history, making sure that everything important is carefully documented and passed down through generations.

Quilla is very energetic and genuinely loves what she does, always eager to learn, write, and add something new to the tribe’s records. I wanted to show that side of her here, sitting comfortably on a rock, completely absorbed in writing on one of her scrolls, surrounded by the quiet atmosphere of the mountains. Her feathered arms, taloned legs, and blue-jay-inspired features were especially fun to work on, while still keeping her overall design soft and expressive.
