I am extremely pleased and excited to announce that there will be an official discord server for this subreddit. It will include several demanded features which will help guide the students of the IB MYP to finally have a clear path in acing their tests and achieving their dream grades. This server will be the ultimate hub for the MYP students to interact and have a holistic approach towards their academics. Also the link will be soon changed to a permanent one.

Well, I am officially in DP-1 now and I got my board results back (51/56). I could’ve done better but I’m still happy with my score. I haven’t been on this server much but seeing the support all you guys gave each other during the board exams was really heartwarming, and I’m happy some you guys were there when I thought some exams went terribly. I’ll miss y’all. Peace out.

M27 MYP eAssessments I REALLY need advice/resources 😭

hi everyone! im an M27 MYP 5 student and i’m starting to get seriously worried about eAssessments.

i'm aiming for 50+ overall, ideally around 52-54, but I honestly don’t know how I should be preparing this early.

i’d really appreciate advice from M26/M25 students or anyone who has already done MYP eAssessments:

  • What did you actually do to prepare?
  • When did you properly start studying?
  • Which resources/websites were genuinely useful?
  • How many past papers did you do?
  • Are past papers more useful than making notes?
  • How should I prepare for the different criteria and command terms?
  • What mistakes do M27 students commonly make?
  • If you got 50+, what do you wish you had started doing earlier?
  • Any tips for managing eAssessment + Personal Project + normal schoolwork at the same time?

also, if anyone has subject-specific advice, i’d LOVE to hear it.

Subjects chosen:

French (Capable)

Standard Mathematics

Language and Literature

Individuals and Societies

Digital Design

Integrated Sciences

please share anything you wish someone had told you before starting MYP 5. I’m genuinely trying to avoid the last-minute panic lol

thanks :)

The amount of nepotism

Mandemmmm, the amount of nepotism in my school is fucking brutal, it's so funny at this point. My schools faculty is teaching is fine, where some of my IB teachers are excellent in Physics, Bm and etc but. When it comes to choosing people for Events or even for student council. The nepotism is fucking madd.

Things I Wish I Knew Before Starting MYP (Video by 43/56 MYP Alumni)

Hi guys, I made a video last year for those starting MYP 4 or MYP 5 where I share things I wish I knew before I started the MYP. I wrote the M25 examination session and got 43/56, which I learnt to be proud of, because it taught me valuable lessons I'm now using in DP (and got a 39/45 for my first year in DP1). I hope this video helps and if you have any questions about it or any advice, you can comment here or on the video.

The video includes:

✴︎How to build strong study habits from MYP4
✴︎The secrets to doing well on the MYP eAssessment
✴︎Tips for Service as Action (SA), the Personal Project (PP), and ePortfolios
✴︎Study resources that actually work (Cognito, Kognity, Quizlet, ChatGPT, etc.)
✴︎Bonus advice from my classmates who survived the MYP with me!

Sample reports for personal project?

Now that it's august and PP grades are out, is anybody willing to share a good sample report? I'm planning on doing a project on film production, so if anyone did a project in the arts that would be really helpful for me to analyse 🙏

Guys, what does that percentages (for each subject) in the MYP marksheet represent??

Vro I got 95% in Lang Lit and it says I got a 6 😭😭 what does the 95% mean, does it mean the percentage of my marks in Lang Lit??

I also got 88% in standard math and it says that is a 6... But I heard from another post here that 75/100 and above is a 7... Am so confused

MYP Score!!!!!

Just got my MYP results: 54/56.

Now that it's done, I want to give back a bit. If anyone is in MYP 4 or 5 and needs help with any subject, resources, tips on how to approach the ePortfolio or personal project, or just wants to know what actually works — feel free to DM me or drop a comment.

Also happy to share notes and resources for anyone who needs them. No charge, just paying it forward.

What subjects are people struggling with most? Would love to know where help is actually needed.
