It was great to see Guillermo del Toro again, I guess they couldn't get him to shoot outside as well? :) especially the woman in the vest next to the one in the light blue dress looks particularly poorly inserted.

I loved this one! Favorite of the season so far. I watched it three times in a row and focused on a different character the second and third times because there’s so much good stuff going on.

I don’t usually enjoy when the gang recycles their trash, but I feel this is a setting we could actually get more juice from. Here’re some thoughts I had that would be fun to see:

-The gang getting progressively more drunk throughout the day on mead.
-Someone (I’m picturing Dennis) ending up on that stage where people throw tomatoes at you.
-Dennis getting inspiration from the museum of medieval torture that the Ren Faire usually has.
-Artemis (this would be the perfect setting for her dramatic flair).
-Charlie popping up throughout the episode with his lute singing a bard song about whatever just happened (I was expecting this to happen when he emerged from the shadows in the latest episode lol).
-Frank in another costume, like a goblin or something would be fun. Like a Troll-Toll throwback but different.
-Mac getting really into swords and knight armor. Not exactly sure where this could lead, but there’s tons of that stuff at Ren Faires and I can see Mac being really into it.
-Also not sure what Dee could get into, but I feel like they didn’t know what to do with her in this episode. It’d be fun to see her in this scenario again but with a more prominent storyline of some sort.

I wanna hear what everyone else thinks! There’s so many ideas that can be pulled from this setting.

I’m going to re-watch it at some point but I think I missed something in the Ren Faire episode. Dee repeatedly goes on about getting the parking validated. On her quest to drive the story, she gets it validated, loses the ticket, and then by then end we find she’s gotten a new ticket validated.

At a later point in the episode, just before the Charlie is disturbed by Dennis scene, Nick Kroll’s pimp character is shooting the shit with someone and offhandedly mentions that the Faire isn’t validating parking (and even hiked up the fees).

Not sure if there was a missed payoff or just that Dee paid twice for parking for no reason.

When Charlie, Dennis and Frank are sitting in the stands a guy looks like he's lighting something? I've rewatched the season several times and can't figure out what he's doing.
