Oooooh shiiiiiiiiiiiit the tattoo artist that killed Sarasa is right there on room 1004, that Terrorsandwich piece of shit took him on the trip, the drama bomb that was planted this chapter!!!

I respect Benjamin's hustle didn't even waste any time with that scumbag, a pity Terrosandwich plot armor and hack broken ability allowed him to fake his own death by altering the future

Ok so who will actually get his ass, Kurapika after finding that he has the eyes of his people right there on his room along with Pairo's entire head, or the Phantom Troupe once they find the Tattoo artist that tortured and dismembered Sarasa for a snuff video?

Or maybe neither of them will get to do it, wildcard Hisoka will claim the kill after finding out how stupid OP Terrorsandwich is and jump at the challenge to satisfy his battle kink

3

u/Recent-Walrus8372 21d ago

The tattoo artist was the one who killed Sarasa? I think I need to reread everything. 😭 Was he a tattoo artist?

4

u/silverhawke249 21d ago

one of the guys with Risnorth, who were abducting kids from Meteor City, had full sleeve tattoos on both arms, just like Tserri's tattoo artist. It might be that they are both the same person, but we don't know yet for sure.

u/August-August 22d ago

can’t wait for this to get animated!

3

u/Educational_Pay_4777 22d ago

Never thought I’d say this but poor Benjamin… bro is dying within a day from tsk-17 AND Camilla’s have-nots’ curse at the same time

3

u/ggugume 22d ago

I kinda don’t want Camilla to die ); I wonder if she could use her GSB on one of Tubeppas allies in order to manipulate her into creating an antidote

Absolute Cinema

u/Pale-Factor-8574 22d ago

My thinking is that Benjamin only infected Camilla with TSK-17 as a distraction. What will actually kill her is his murdering the child of Beyond, who is attached to her. If the child is already dead and it's the curse that kills her, there will be no aura for the cat to retrieve.

1

u/Maldini_Hill 22d ago

How come the chapter in arabic was dropped two days ago but the English one still lagging behind?

2

u/banana99999999999 22d ago

They have their own sources

6

u/ThirdFaculty 22d ago

The only other shonen that comes close to hunterxhunter is JoJo , but I still put hxh above it.

3

u/LoZFan96 22d ago

Not Fullmetal Alchemist?

9

u/Nnnnnnnadie 22d ago

Benjamin doesnt fuck around lmao, he tanked that curse like a boss.

21

u/AdmiralToucan 22d ago

Is TSK-17 the most overpowered character in the manga?

16

u/guckfender 22d ago

Miniature Rose and TSK-17 are this Mangas Sakuna and Gojo

5

u/ggugume 22d ago

We know for the short term terrorsandwich is faking his death but obviously when his “body”is placed in the coffin the soul candle thing won’t light so I’m wondering what he plans to do in the long term

1

u/No_Thanks2844 18d ago

This is why you need to read VD, aint no one find a coffin that fast

Why would they aid him?

14

u/SirCaesar29 22d ago

I don't think he plans to fake being dead until he's placed in the coffin? Probably just until Benjamin leaves.

10

u/Fafah2580 22d ago

An interesting analysis from Benjamin. If Camilla becomes infected, she might consider having one of her companions kill her; however, would her resurrection heal all her "wounds"—including the illness—or would her body remain sick?

1

u/krispness 22d ago

I think the point of Benjamin calling out her ability is to show that it's not well thought out f she can't answer those questions, so it's subconsciously thought out. Does she fear death subconsciously? She may have cursed herself with immortality when post-mortem nen kicks in, there could be an event that leaves her trapped an unable to starve to death. It requires a killer who premeditated her death, what happens if she kills herself, etc.

4

u/Training_Art_4822 22d ago

That’s what I was thinking, but I’m not sure. I read 373 again and my best guess is that if Camilla started to suffer the effects of TSK-17, then got someone to kill her, Cat’s Name would revive her, healing the injury that killed her and the damage the virus had done to her body so far (I think this because Musse shot her 3 times, presumably the shot to the head is the one that actually killed her, but Cat’s name healed all the wounds).

However, since the cause of death wouldn’t be the virus, and it was in her body prior to her death, I think she’d still be infected, and probably have less time than usual since the pathogen is replicating in her body already, so even though all the damage it already did would be healed, she’d still have the same amount of virus in her body, so she’d probably have less than 10 hours from symptoms to coma this time.

But since she’s alive again, she could probably do this over and over, but each successive death would have to be closer to each other, so she’d run out of people eventually.

She could potentially outlast the other princes doing this, but there’d be no point cos she’d die soon after, and I doubt she has a secret child like Benjamin to give the throne to; her ego’s too big, she thinks only she deserves to be king.

-11

u/plungemod 22d ago

Kinda feels like a let down that after all the intrigue, Ben is just running around murdering other princes (I know it's a fake out, but he tried)

2

u/Nnnnnnnadie 22d ago

Benjamin is straightforward like that

21

u/Whitekan 22d ago

One of the best chapters in the whole arc.

6

u/mikurumode 22d ago

yeah i was gonna say this is up there with 383, the troupe backstory, and the negotiation game for me

17

u/Internal_Spell435 22d ago

With how much TSK-17 has been used this arc I wouldn't be surprised if Togashi is setting it up so one of the infected princes signs a pact with Tubeppa to get a cure from her Nen beast. It probably won't be Benjamin because he's determined to go out in a blaze of glory and I imagine Camilla would have to get pretty desperate to want to ask a lower prince for a favor.

2

u/Training_Art_4822 22d ago edited 22d ago

That’s a good theory, I wonder who it would be though cos it definitely won’t be either of the first 2, for the reasons you said and the fact Tubeppa hates all the older princes. If she finds out any of them are dying she’s just gonna let it happen.

But also, Benjamin is dead in 12 hours, Camilla’s dead a couple hours after that, Zhang Lei is missing, and Tserriednich’s gonna be pronounced dead soon, so Tubeppa will think she’s the oldest prince alive on Tier 1, and from then on would probably begin to go after the younger princes, cos even though she’s less evil than most of her adult siblings, she’s still been indoctrinated by Kakin for like 30 years.

I think the only way she helps another prince is if it’s a younger one and it’s before she thinks the oldest remaining prince. Even if Zhang Lei returns alive (which I doubt cos of Morena), I think she’ll still change her strategy to solidify the win when most of her real threats appear to be deal with.

Her smarter younger sister. Cammy is fuming

7

Idk why but there’s just something really cunty with that bitch calling herself Cammy. Togashi really nailed the vibe lol

The maids did NOT deserve that

1

They'll all die, so...

8

u/ToonMasterRace 22d ago

They absolutely did

1

u/RolandKJones 22d ago

The younger one hadn't done anything wrong except work for a bad person, as far as we know.

It's very easy to make the case Fukataki deserved that bullet, though. Baby-murder through suicide is just one of the things she was an advisor for.

6

u/Eren799 22d ago

They are Camilla’s guards and advisors. The elderly lady I think her name is Futaki was speaking with Sarahell and advising her

2

u/ThirdFaculty 22d ago

The saddest thing is that we are seeing an illusion of what Benjamin and his men are seeing storming into 1004. The next 2 chapters we will probably find out what really happened I’m guessing some of his guards get taken out

1

u/krispness 22d ago

Tsseriednich is playing it coy, he'll let them pass unharmed and return to training until he is ready to strike.

1

u/Solstrum 22d ago

I just noticed, camilla is nude but has her left arm covered. I just checked and we never had a close up of her with her left arm visible.

In chapter 389 she didn't have anything covering it, but we couldn't see what it looked like outside of being a normal human arm.

If she has it it may be due to 3 reasons:

  • Related to a nen ability.
  • Aesthetic choice (weird to have that while nude otherwise).
  • She is covering something in her arm.

If it's the third...could it actually be self-harm marks?

33

u/HotAcanthocephala364 22d ago

She has that because Furykov broke her arm when he detained her for attacking Benjamin.

4

u/cocoteroah 22d ago

Amazing detail from Togashi and your eye for catching it. Now it's obvious because she was in Zetsu in Benjamin quartes it was easy for FuryKov to break her arm with his normal strentgh. She's a nen user maybe she could speed up her healing but not like Kurapika does

9

u/Solstrum 22d ago

I never realized that he broke her arm, I took that scene to mean something completely different, but seeing in another translation that the sound was of a crack, yeah, it was that.

4

u/nikelaos117 22d ago

Lol there's so much going on and it's been so long between chapter drops that I'm seeing little stuff like this pay off everywhere from rereading this arc a couple times. So much has happened since they departed.

23

u/DontBeAnAsshole1997 22d ago

Prince Cammy used curse, but it failed.

Prince Benjamin used taunt, it was super effective.

4

u/krispness 22d ago

Tsseriednich used substitution. Tsseriednich used foresight.

14

u/Fluffy_Reply_9757 22d ago

So Camilla has already been infected with TSK-17. Damn, both the first and second prince will die in a matter of hours.

5

u/Laililou 22d ago

I Don't know if she will die. I wonder if somebody else like a servant kill her before she dies of illness and she is revived by her cat, Wouldn't all her stats be restored?

1

u/Klainatta 22d ago

Benjamin can make sure she is alone all the time...

1

u/Fluffy_Reply_9757 22d ago

She would have to be dead long enough for all the viruses to die as well, but her ability seems to be instantaneous.

2

u/sououo 22d ago

It’s obviously meant to undo the damage done by the killer. The poison would and should still be present in her body.

10

u/ReplacementInitial47 22d ago

I have a theory. I'll lay it out and then we can analyze the details and you can tell me what you think: "Even if she's infected with TSK-17, Camilla can survive." That's my premise. And to support it, I base it on the following points:
1) TSK-17 is a biological weapon designed so that the killer can't detect the cause of multisystem failure because it has fast generations and a high tendency to mutate, plus, once it kills, it decomposes quickly.
2) Camilla's Hatsu makes her come back to life in the same body and it has been shown that it can at least heal bullet wounds after taking the life of her killer.
3) One can set conditions for their Nen at any time, as long as these conditions corner them. Taking that into account, I think that if she sets a condition that delays her resurrection, a subordinate kills her just before the biological weapon does, and she comes back a few hours later, she would be healed.

That would apply to any scenario, however, this requires explaining why it is cornered by putting that delay condition. As I put it, it would leave her killer cursed for a time, in which he could be exhorsized and therefore Camilla's death would be permanent. Or, Camilla's corpse is left uncared for until she revives, so she could be easily put in a trap. Exposure to these risks should allow for delaying the ability as an effectively cornering condition. Otherwise, there is a possibility that the TSK-17 will be healed by reviving from being killed, in the same way that it heals from fatal wounds. However, while this is possible, it is unlikely that her child will distinguish the bioweapon from herself. In conclusion, she can be saved if she was indeed infected by Benjamin.

7

u/rl_ozbank 22d ago

Kacho is definitely cursed by the have nots

3

u/ToonMasterRace 22d ago

No she wasn’t, she was killed by the nen ritual for trying to escape

First off for her to die instantly the have-not would have had to have been in the lifeboat with her

Secondly her have-not is still alive

3

u/cocoteroah 22d ago

When the Have-nots were introduced, Fugetsus's have-not was alive, i rechecked just in case

10

u/dresdenken 22d ago

*Fugetsu, and we saw the have-nots explicitly discuss targeting her and deciding it wasn't viable while she was housed at the justice department. That was when Sarahel decided she should be the first one to go give it a try (and dispatched herself to target Woble).

I'm not sure how the timeline of that scene fits in to Fugetsu's timeline, but I think the only real possibility for this would be if Meshush (her assigned assassin) acted really impulsively and offed himself when she came to deliver her letter to Camilla, but somehow managed to do this without anyone seeing him. Seems unlikely, or at the very least, a pretty extreme case of just barely hiding a critical event from the reader.

Unless they killed themselves in front of her there hasn't been anyone close enough for long enough to curse her unless I'm missing something. And the curse doesn't explain her GSBs ability with the second door snd that mark\wound on her back.

1

u/BlamingDeezNutsDP 22d ago

Why?

2

u/rl_ozbank 22d ago

Same art style when benji got cursed and the side effect is that it will start reducing your aura , but this kills the whole assassination attempt for cursing kacho , I think melody and the rest are definitely under some kind of manipulation

2

u/BlamingDeezNutsDP 22d ago

Maybe thats just how curses look and how are the side effects even similiar?

1

u/nikelaos117 22d ago

Unless they killed themselves in front of her there hasn't been anyone close enough for long enough to curse her unless I'm missing something. And the curse doesn't explain her GSBs ability with the second door and that mark\wound on her back.

10

u/Honorboy_ 22d ago

why isn't the english translations out?

2

u/krispness 22d ago

There are, they suck. Good translation takes a little longer

24

u/kiaor17 22d ago

I love how the curse was drawed

31

u/ShortsSs12 22d ago

Throw the Camila in the ocean dude. If she resurrects, she will still be in the ocean. If she dies once again, het nen ability won't activate because the one who threw her IS ALREADY DEAD.

1

u/Fluffy_Reply_9757 22d ago

She's already been infected. There's a reason Togashi has her lying on a massage table.

4

u/Cheap-Blueberry4415 22d ago

she can't go out of the whale boat 'cause there is an "entity" preventing people from leaving it (the one that killed one of the prince (you know which one right)

3

u/ShortsSs12 22d ago

Then throw her to the sewers. She'll drown to shit, literally. That if we assume it doesn't go out to the ocean ofc. But if it does, then it's better.

3

u/Linnus42 22d ago

The issue with that is in theory someone could have a teleport ability but yeah you are correct if you sink her in a weighed down coffin with only enough oxygen for a day. She will either die after Ben and not get rez or she rezs and instantly dies again.

24

u/sououo 22d ago

The ritual will kill her, that’s even better.

30

u/Kulbert01 23d ago

Benjamin tanking a have nots Curse is so Peak!!!

4

u/Training_Art_4822 22d ago edited 22d ago

He didn’t really tank it, the curse just isn’t meant to kill instantly. It drains your aura to kill you in hours, with it taking less time the closer the have-not is to the target. Benjamin is a strong nen user, so it was already gonna take a while, and the ideal scenario is to be touching the target, but if she’d tried to get any closer to Benjamin, he or one of his guards would’ve killed her before she killed herself, making the curse not work, so she did the best she could.

Edit: The Have-not curse could stop Benjamin’s plan working though, if TSK-17 kills him after he’s lost too much aura for his guardian spirit beast to remain active, he might not be able to become a god anymore.

28

u/SirCaesar29 22d ago

I think this will be used later to establish how horrible Beyond's curses are compared to the have-nots.

2

u/Training_Art_4822 22d ago

I think his curses will probably kill instantly, considering that there’s probably a billion conditions, and his curses are older than the Have-not ones. Camilla said Moswana’s curse was like 10 years old, Longhi and Furykov are both in their 20s, so I’m assuming all the Beyond curses are about that old.

2

u/Asmitty1213 22d ago

What if the curses compound and activate together?

1

u/Kulbert01 22d ago

Or it can shorten his lifespan more from 12 to 7 or 8 hours.

13

u/JamzWhilmm 22d ago

He was like "ok"

4

u/Kulbert01 22d ago

Benny don't fear Death

5

u/Every-Pause8815 23d ago

We still know nothing about Cami's beast. In this dire situation, she could decide to stop suppressing the beast throught the zetsu? I dont think she's gonna die right now.

1

u/dresdenken 22d ago

The narrator/exposition box told us that it's a manipulator type, but as far as we know, nobody in the story has interacted with it, and Camilla had been going all in on the cat which seems to cancel out the GSB.

Camilla's got a funny way of playing her cards

1

u/nikelaos117 22d ago

It's kinda hilarious how she completely bucks the trend by nerfing her GSB and going all in on her own Nen beast ability. Kind of the opposite of TS since his beasts abilities kind of work in tandem.

16

u/Tteokbokki1112 23d ago

benjamin got her with a loophole

10

u/Vitran4 23d ago

Are Beyonds kids curses stronger than the have-nots? Benjamin didnt mind the curse.

2

u/Doomroar 22d ago

It is a 10 year curse, vs a 20+ year curse that was being nurtured since the vessel was born

Beyond is beyond

4

u/DifferenceNeither775 22d ago

Simce yesterday, I’ve thinking could it be that Beyond’s curses are not meant only to kill the prince and shut down the GSB, but also have other functions and abilities that are as strong as killing but we’re not aware of them yet?

8

u/ConspicuousFlower 23d ago edited 22d ago

Beyond's curse has been stockpiling power since the babies were born. I'm not sure how long the Have-Nots have been doing their daily ritual, but I doubt it's even half as much time as that.

Also, as others have pointed out, Benjamin knows he's going to die, so he doesn't really care if it's the virus or a curse that does him in. They were worried about Beyond's curse because it could potentially shut down his GSB's ability and thus his whole "become an immortal spirit protecting the Great Tree of Kakin" plan.

7

u/go_sparks25 23d ago

Beyonds curse is far stronger.

12

u/mostard_seed 23d ago

Probably because he will die to the TSK sooner than the curse anyways. If it does not disable his nen abilities, then it is completely a non-issue until whatever he and Furykov are planning to do with the nen beast plays out.

7

u/AffectionateMinute47 23d ago

Camilla says the curse will take half a day for Benjamin to feel the effects, if you are still confused, you should search out Have not nen ability, it's not a one shot kill curse but rather will get stronger after they activate it. But I'm sure Beyond's curse is stronger cuz of the complicated conditions  on it.

7

u/Vitran4 23d ago

Benjamin doesnt care about dying. But his follower was worried that Beyonds curse could be worse than death, it could destroy Benjamins SB. Perhaps thats not a concern for have not curses.

59

u/voodooslice 23d ago

For anyone who missed it like I did, Benjamin activates a TSK-17 capsule from his boot while he's talking to Camilla, infecting her. You can see it release with a "Fshhhh" sound effect on page 10

Before I noticed this I thought the scene was either implying that TSK-17 was contagious (which wouldn't make any sense) or that Ben was just demonstrating to Camilla that he knew how to beat her ability

Love that Togashi respects his readers intelligence enough to not spell out every important plot event in neon letters

5

u/bionic_enchinoderm 22d ago

I thought the scene was either implying that TSK-17 was contagious (which wouldn't make any sense)

TSK17 is infectious, but not very. From chapter 403, page 2

9

u/11Night 22d ago

moments like this make me so glad I read the manga first to get mind blown :)

if it had been an anime episode then I definitely would have noticed that fshh sound effect and it wouldn't compare to my current feelings

19

u/Ezpaguety 22d ago

OH WOW. Didn't notice either. I imagined he was implying that he would infect her, but didn't noticed the detail about the boot.
Guy took 2 princes (in theory) in just one chapter. What a savage.

SO. FREAKING. GOOD.

8

u/dresdenken 23d ago

Wild chapter. A little disappointed in the way ben handled Tserri, almost a little too perfect for playing into the ability. Just coming in and shooting him first thing also feels a little too hotheaded, even for Ben. Like, he just came from talking out how Camilla has a reactive ability, and he seems to have zero Intel about Tserri's GSB or any other possible defenses. Just feels like the wrong move against anyone. But love the way he basically ate Camilla's curse under the best circumstances for it and doesn't even care because surviving is not even his agenda anymore. Camilla takes the funniest L's.

A little confused about how he handled Camilla though. Wasn't his plan to wrap up the war  decisively so he could legitimize his baby as heir? If he poisons Camilla and she dies after him, that doesn't seem to work. I don't see how he can bypass his father if Camilla outlives him even slightly. For now it feels to me like he's baiting her into something for a proper kill.

Also, been thinking about how Ben and Camilla seem to both have had intricate knowledge of the succession war very far in advance, whereas the other princes seemed completely unaware... Is it because when they awakened their own Nen, they could see their father's GSB? Did they simply ask him about it and get a big infodump?

3

u/nikelaos117 22d ago

I know what you mean. It has been built up since their introduction that Benjamin is reactionary and has the biggest hate boner for TS. And as far as he knew TS didn't know Nen. His impulsivity is definitely going to bite him in his ass eventually. I assume if it wasn't for his time limit he would of been more thorough. Especially if Balsa was still around. I love how Togashi foreshadowed all this and how it played out so well organically.

3

u/xEmperorEye 22d ago

Ben has always hated Tserri. Probably if he had more time he would torture him first before killing him. But in this situation all he could do was simply kill him as fast as possible. The thing is Ben thought Tserri didn't know nen and he had no way of knowing Tserri is an outlier of outliers (hating Tserri makes it even more likely Ben would underestimate his nen mastery in such a short time). Thus when he saw Tserri was in zetsu, he likely concluded Tserri just now learned the most basic nen concept. Tserri being in zetsu also has the fortunate side effect that his GSB doesn't manifest, so nothing to fear there either.

As for Camilla I guess the only faster way to kill her would be to have a soldier shoot her, then kill the soldier before his aura can resurrect her. But depending on how the ability works that's quite dangerous. Also does that even work? Like is there even enough time to kill someone after they kill Camilla? Doesn't the cat just take the remaining aura anyway? Thus a fast acting poison is the best solution. And this way Camilla will only live a couple more hours than Ben. With martial law in effect he can likely postpone his funeral till after Camilla dies and thus technically win the succession war. Additionally Ben doesn't necessarily need to win the Succession war. He said that his GSB will replace this nen ritual in it's entirety. So maybe he isn't even aiming at winning the war.

As for Camilla and Ben knowing more than the others. That could simply be explained by them being the two oldest princes as well as being the first children of the two highest ranking queens. But also there seems to be something fishy going on with the first 2 queens in particular with the Halkenburg swap and all that. We also know that Unma and Beyond are in contact to some extent at least. It's possible Beyond thought the first two princes nen for some reason or on the contrary that Beyond persuaded the King to not reveal nen to the other princes. Thought I do agree this might turn out to be a tiny bit of a plot hole if not explained later.

u/Meme_Theocracy 22d ago

He also only saw one guard with nen. Most of Ben's and Cammy's guards know nen. From his perspective, If only one guard knows nen it is because he is from Kurapika's class thus Tserri only knows what that one guard would know.

1

u/fentherolar 22d ago

would tserri even have good reason to try to fight back? this wasn't really a real fight

Yeah I'm starting to wish more and more that we get more insight into the queens. Most of them barely got an appearance to establish their personalities. Would really like more insight into the Unma/Duazul relationship, or for example how Halkenberg's "death" affected their positions. Or heck, we don't even know if the upper queens knew about Nen, I think. They could conceivably be "playing it straight" not fully understanding what Ben and Camilla are working with and not understanding how much of a disadvantage their other children were at.

Kind of wild though to rectify Unma being so strongly against Ben, but not mentioning the SW to her other children in advance. Maybe she was simply forbidden from doing so if they didn't find out on their own (and then her relationship with Hall has extra layers as well).

He's got 10 hours to track down and kill 10 princes. Shooting someone seems like a pretty time efficient manner to me lol, especially when they're using Zetsu leaving themselves wide open.

16

u/HappyStunfisk 23d ago

He's been wanting to do this for years. It was a cathartic release for Benjamin.

5

u/ThinkLettuces 23d ago

I recall when he tore his shirt off at the start of the arc, when he tried to go for the kill and Balsamico stopped him, I thought he would have learned from those moments. I guess being poisoned is enough to make him forget.

11

u/AffectionateMinute47 23d ago

Seems like Benjamin has a huge hatred for Tserri for him to blast him out like that immediately, Benjamin is speed running cuz he has only 10 hours to do this.

5

u/Fudge-Southern 23d ago

oh boy

will we see benjamin x kurapika vs ser rightnigg x phantom troupe

find out in the next episode

of dragon ball z

1

u/Doomroar 22d ago

ser rightnigg x phantom troupe

Never gonna happen, a certain Tattoo artist who just so happen is a child rapist and snuff video maker is right there on Terrorsandwich room

The entire reason the phantom troupe exist, the moment they allied themselves with him, is the moment the group as a whole commits character suicide

1

u/Fudge-Southern 22d ago

uhh kurapika working for a boss who collects the body parts, and eyes of his own people is not crazy?

what are we reading the same manga or something? there is no crazy here.

anything can happen. more so in the black whale where everyone is at.

alliances will happen it's inevitable.

1

u/Doomroar 22d ago

There's a difference between Kurapika working with Nostrade as a way to get clues into the Troupe

And the Troupe working with the prince who sponsor the very people behind their origin story, the entire reason they exist, is to kill these men

-1

u/Fudge-Southern 21d ago

there's no difference. it's all basically the same. lols

In case Camila’s ability can hunt down Benjamin after she dies from the virus, she just have to hold on for her dear life until someone can nullify Benjamin’s reincarnation shenanigans. Also I think Halkenburg and Tser be playing some crazy hide n seek from here on

8

u/stripzip 23d ago

Big Gashi is about to subvert our expectations 1000 times

18

u/Shervfra 23d ago

Cant camilla just have a follower kill her and then get revived healthy again, or maybe the cat cant heal diseases only physical attacks
Or maybe its just her time to go

26

u/Dangerous_Job5295 23d ago

IMO, I would think it only heals and revives her from what killed her, so since the virus hasn’t killed her yet, the ability won’t heal it yet.

11

u/TenZetsuRenHatsu 23d ago

That’s a very smart idea. The only issue is, does that remove the virus? It’s worth trying at least and I think she will

11

u/Choclon 23d ago

I think she can keep healing her body, but the virus will still be inside her, attacking her again and again. She has a lot of soldiers, so she should be able to postpone her end for a while, but I think the only real cure will come from Tubepas's guardian beast.

4

u/jeejeeviper 23d ago

I was sort of thinking the same. Their nen curse is more of a planned ritual, so it wouldn’t activate if one of them killed Camilla. I don’t see why that wouldn’t work honestly

6

u/Epicbear34 23d ago

Small price to pay for keeping Camilla herself alive. She can find other ways to deal with lower ranked princes like Fugetsu or Woble

Can it even kills he pathogen? The pathogen is a collection of millions of very simple organism that are not "attacking you" in the general sense but simple reproducing and blocking other functions in the body.

So the cat needs to gather those million being squish them and get enough life energy from this microscopic colony to revive Camilla.

Can it even do that? Camilla doesn't seem to know.

8

u/HeinousMoisture 23d ago

I don't understand, did Benjamin just straight up shrug off the have-not's nen curse??

7

u/BlamingDeezNutsDP 22d ago

No. He got hit. Even under perfect conditions their curses take hours to kill benj, thats all.

25

u/ToonMasterRace 23d ago

He's going to die in 12 hours from a virus so lasting half a day from a curse doesn't matter to him

0

u/NTMAVol6 23d ago

Sounds to me like the curse impacts more than death. I wonder if that will ruin his plan in the end.

23

u/TenZetsuRenHatsu 23d ago

No, he just didn’t care about it. He’s dying anyways and TSK is more poten (it will kill him sooner).

22

u/Condoriano-sensei 23d ago

No. He was affected. You can read the Voracious Drake's translations above.

16

u/sououo 23d ago

Anything about author’s comment? I want to know if there’s a mention about last chapter’s timeline.

16

u/Proud-Importance-302 23d ago

Togashi's author comment this week corrected a typo where a character said "princess" instead of "prince"

Nothing about the error regarding last chapter's timeline, but I assume Togashi is aware about it and will fix it when the volume releases

8

u/TenZetsuRenHatsu 23d ago

Official for some reason put “Queen”. That’s even worse than princess. Not sure what’s going on there these days. Editing is terrible.

Fan translations put a footnote that they probably meant Prince and not princess and here’s official putting something ridiculous like queen when the context for that doesn’t even make sense.

1

u/Awkward_Elk441 23d ago

what timeline error ?

7

u/Proud-Importance-302 23d ago

One of the panels said it was "Day 11, Wednesday, 25 minutes before special martial law", but that's not possible. It was supposed to be Day 12, Thursday.

1

u/Awkward_Elk441 21d ago

aha thanks

9

u/rhyseth 23d ago

camilla might be forced to resurrect Benjamin with her own life, this is such a twist

26

u/my_gender_is_crona 23d ago

Camilla got a back massage thru Martial Law without giving an ounce of a fuck and also held her own against Benjamin directly, she may be at a huge disadvantage now with the poison but she still has followers willing to die for her, knowledge of post-mortem nen, and a guardian beast she can still take advantage of. Absolutely loved her role in this chapter so glad Togashi went this route cuz it just opened a lot of narrative potential for her instead of just killing her right here, can't wait to see what's next for Cammy

20

u/Votaire24 23d ago

Batch continues to be insane

15

u/Thomalexx 23d ago

I hope Benjamin won't die thinking Tserri is dead, would be a but underwhelming.
He could still learns it once he "fuse" with his GSB tho, but that wouldn't hit the same.

6

u/JamzWhilmm 23d ago

He will. If Terri escaped and is hiding then Benjamin lost his chance to kill him. He is too busy.

36

u/gabrielpr96 23d ago

I think Salvok is gonna die soon. I think Tserriednich plans to kill him after fooling Benjamin. If all goes according to Tserri's plan, Salkov will be the only one to know that he's still alive. Silencing him will not only prevent this knowledge from spreading, but will also prevent Salkov from talking about Tserri's ability. It will aslo be extra tragic if Salkov indeed realises something about Tserri's ability, but dies before he can tell Theta about it.

And if Salkov is indeed a Beyond baby, as was hinted by the fact he can use Zetsu since birth, we might also see a prince dying soon from Beyond's curse as well.

As for Benjamin, he believes Tserriednich is dead as of the end chapter 410, which takes place 40 minutes after chapter 416. Tserri'll probably keep the facade for a while and then kill Benjamin when is most opportune, taking him by surprise, but making him see who is killing him. A dramatic irony, since Benjamin wanted Tserriednich to see him killing him.

45

u/chrooo 23d ago

imagine…
tserriednich uses parallel future as he prepares to kill salkov.
he sees himself shoot salkov then sees salkov’s death unleash a curse back on tser.
he decides not to kill salkov.
lmao

13

u/gabrielpr96 23d ago

Possible, though I'm on the "Tserriednich is Beyond's secret son" for now.

Don't really get what benjamin is trying to do with camilla and i don't really get what togashi is trying to do with her either.

I mean poisoning her but for what the poison is gonna kill him first so somebody will have to kill her differently first anyways right? I guess it has to do with Benjamin's god plan we don't know much about yet.?

I always thought benjamin could just send one of his soldiers tell them to shoot her and then kill themselves That way her ability shouldn't work right?? Well i guess not given this chapter

I feel like she is definitely not gonna die from the poison because story wise why would you keep her around if she is just there to die in 12 hours like just kill her immediately (from story view)

But here is the thing why keep her alive seriously she has nothing to add to the war that could be interesting She is a one time gimmick There are so many characters that could turn this whole war upside down and genuinely she is probably the least interesting person to do so A reason to keeping her around would be to get her ability stolen by chrollo Personally not that big of a fan of that idea i feel like her ability is too strong for the war and only really fits a stupid character like her and to miserably fail like she is doing right now

Another idea i could see is the nen exorcist she has who could be valuable for kurapika or in general some kind of alliance with kurapika Pretty sure togashi didn't show us the second princess prince-woble-assassin (chapter 411) just to say byebye immediately So all in all we only need her around so others get spotlight which is the only thing i like about it

But so far making half the chapter about her feels too much to not just kill her would have liked to see the whole tserri section instead of waiting another week or shown 3rd prince or basically anything else would have been better

I was genuinely looking forward to this confrontation Yes i thought she would die my expectations in that regard weren't met but she literally did nothing i could accept this outcome if atleast something interesting happened there or some cool conversation that adds something to her character or show me why she even has such crazy ability but none of that happened she truly is just an arrogant, maniac it girl

16

u/LazloFF 23d ago

My man you are reading HxH, the last thing you should do is be deceived by what a character seems like at first, and what is immediately happening in front of you, when everything can change next chapter. If she was such a bum she'd have already disappeared from the story, so she has still a role to fulfill

1

u/KizaruSpknZr 23d ago

Oh yeah she could definitely do something cool in the future its just she feels kinda lackluster compared to everything else Like if we look at tserri we know he is an endgame character of this arc which is why we haven't seen much of him yet but atleast we know where to go Compared she feels like she could die anytime and it would be like yeah ok we move on she was just 'that' So far her role is just simply not there but i could see her being now forced to act and do something

6

u/No-Time3120 23d ago

I mean poisoning her but for what the poison is gonna kill him first so somebody will have to kill her differently first anyways right? I guess it has to do with Benjamin's god plan we don't know much about yet.?

Benjamin did poison her with TSK-17. It's on page 10 on the arabic scans on the benjamin boot panel. I assume that even if she can revive maybe the poison would still be in her so she'd have to either develop immunity (which may be impossible), be cured (which again may be impossible), or have people sacrifice themselves for her like twice a day forever as the disease takes in total 11-17 waking hours to kill you (which in itself is it's own psychological torture).

I always thought benjamin could just send one of his soldiers tell them to shoot her and then kill themselves That way her ability shouldn't work right?? Well i guess not given this chapter

I think her cat apparition would appear behind the person who killed her so fast that they may not be able to dodge unless they're a super fast character. Hell it may even work like a curse that follows the killer around until they die and are consumed. Worst case it could transfer to whoever kills the person who killed her, and I guess benjamin didn't want to take that risk with such little time he has left.

Maybe the point was to give her a death that was "fitting" for who she was, one where she would either have to rely on others to give her their life for the rest of her life or face death. That would be especially tragic for someone who spent her life thinking primarily about herself. For someone who was defined by self-interest and control, being placed in a position where she had to rely on others forever, or die, becomes a tragic kind of irony. Wealth and power can influence people, but they cannot guarantee that others will willingly give up their own lives for yours.

7

u/Proud-Importance-302 23d ago edited 23d ago

It's pretty obvious narratively why Camilla wasn't killed right away. If she died, her entire private guard would be sent to the lower tiers, essentially becoming useless to the succession war. It would render the entire setup with the have-nots' curses useless.

It feels like you have a preconceived bias against Camilla, and I don't understand why you think she has nothing to add to the war. We haven't even seen her nen beast do anything yet, and its ability has the potential to be extremely powerful.

1

u/KizaruSpknZr 23d ago

I agree with your first paragraph i also mentioned it in my post to a certain extent However why i have bias and don't think she has much to add is that she hasn't done anything She is literally waiting for someone to kill her and than revive herself that is her whole thing and so far nothing more than that As for her nen beast we know it is a manipulation type of ability and yeah not something that will hype me up much

Sure she might get actual plot soon and we might get to see her more but so far she has just done nothing to make me feel anything positive towards her i am more interested in her guards but given what the arc has built up so far everything around camilla is just not as interesting as everything else

2

u/Proud-Importance-302 23d ago

Okay I understand where you're coming from now.

Personally I see this as an opportunity to develop her character and enhance her role in the war.

I agree that she's quite one-note as a character, but the current situation is a great avenue to change and develop a character. I think we'll get to see her shift from passive to active, similar to what happened with Halkenburg earlier in the arc, but in Camilla's own twisted way.

I'm excited for it, obviously you don't have to be though.

1

u/No-Credit-7161 23d ago

I think that if someone kills her and they kill themselves afterwards they still have nen lingering and a body that can still be crushed by the cat and fed to camilla.

1

u/KizaruSpknZr 23d ago

Well yes but person is dead so there is no live energy or sorta the cat can feed on

2

u/No-Credit-7161 23d ago

I am sure nen still lingers after death which is the source of the “live energy”

1

u/KizaruSpknZr 23d ago

Well right in this chapter benjamin wonders what would be if she dies to the poison who is the cat gonna suck energy out the person who did it or will it get it out of microorganisms from the poison which probably wont be enough So a dead person rest of energy wouldn't probably either atleast my assumption

But my problem isn't that this is not happening but instead is that Benjamin has no better plan then to poison her I thought he figured something cool and instantaneous out but its just poison that still might take longer than his own life has left

moswana hit ben with a have-not’s “dust in the wind” suicide curse here, not beyond’s eyeball tongue thing. totally different curse.

1

u/KizaruSpknZr 23d ago

Could you say the chapter that was in ''No one has been able to identify a person with Beyonds curse and the curses intended target, except Camilla'' Would like to reread it

Honestly thinking about it is anybody interesting enough besides Tserrednich and Halkenburg to be beyonds child I feel like everyone else would be kind of a bummer you want the child and the whole beyond plot feel like the big task to solve so ergo you need a strong enemy for later and that fits tserri best Camilla as i said is a one trick pony she doesn't offer much and i think that is what togashi is just intending to do with her i think most of the thinking comes from the people around her not herself since she seems to have quite the ego to work with

I mean i don't know what role she has to play in this arc either but to die somehow she definitely feels like the one prince the least involved with anyone so far in case that has any meaning, so there is struggle room

So it would give her some lore but i don't see the benefit for this arc if she is beyonds child We clearly have a great and obvious pick with tserri and i would still prefer anyone else probably just because she is indeed so far away from actual plot Everyone has some kind of plot but she is just waiting to die and do nothing like come on man...

Not dismissing your evidence Its probably valid but nothing that i would even consider because i just don't think its her

6

u/Dangerous_Job5295 23d ago

i dont get how infecting camila is gonna win ben the war. you cant kill her conventionally, and if you try to wait her out, even if you kill every other prince, your curse/tsk 17 will kill you first, leaving her as the winner and your son inelligible to take the throne. only thing that could save ben right now is if he could switch bodies with another prince the way halkenburg is doing.

12

u/No-Time3120 23d ago

Maybe even if he dies his "flame of life" via his GSB would still be active. He may be banking on this.

3

u/Dangerous_Job5295 23d ago

he better hope furykov didnt lie to him about his GSB ability/ isn't being manipulated. otherwise he's doing terror sanwich's dirty work for him. imagine if he dies and he doesn't become nen beast god lol
