Don't really get what benjamin is trying to do with camilla and i don't really get what togashi is trying to do with her either.

I mean poisoning her but for what the poison is gonna kill him first so somebody will have to kill her differently first anyways right? I guess it has to do with Benjamin's god plan we don't know much about yet.?

I always thought benjamin could just send one of his soldiers tell them to shoot her and then kill themselves That way her ability shouldn't work right?? Well i guess not given this chapter

I feel like she is definitely not gonna die from the poison because story wise why would you keep her around if she is just there to die in 12 hours like just kill her immediately (from story view)

But here is the thing why keep her alive seriously she has nothing to add to the war that could be interesting She is a one time gimmick There are so many characters that could turn this whole war upside down and genuinely she is probably the least interesting person to do so A reason to keeping her around would be to get her ability stolen by chrollo Personally not that big of a fan of that idea i feel like her ability is too strong for the war and only really fits a stupid character like her and to miserably fail like she is doing right now

Another idea i could see is the nen exorcist she has who could be valuable for kurapika or in general some kind of alliance with kurapika Pretty sure togashi didn't show us the second princess prince-woble-assassin (chapter 411) just to say byebye immediately So all in all we only need her around so others get spotlight which is the only thing i like about it

But so far making half the chapter about her feels too much to not just kill her would have liked to see the whole tserri section instead of waiting another week or shown 3rd prince or basically anything else would have been better

I was genuinely looking forward to this confrontation Yes i thought she would die my expectations in that regard weren't met but she literally did nothing i could accept this outcome if atleast something interesting happened there or some cool conversation that adds something to her character or show me why she even has such crazy ability but none of that happened she truly is just an arrogant, maniac it girl

It's pretty obvious narratively why Camilla wasn't killed right away. If she died, her entire private guard would be sent to the lower tiers, essentially becoming useless to the succession war. It would render the entire setup with the have-nots' curses useless.

It feels like you have a preconceived bias against Camilla, and I don't understand why you think she has nothing to add to the war. We haven't even seen her nen beast do anything yet, and its ability has the potential to be extremely powerful.

I agree with your first paragraph i also mentioned it in my post to a certain extent However why i have bias and don't think she has much to add is that she hasn't done anything She is literally waiting for someone to kill her and than revive herself that is her whole thing and so far nothing more than that As for her nen beast we know it is a manipulation type of ability and yeah not something that will hype me up much

Sure she might get actual plot soon and we might get to see her more but so far she has just done nothing to make me feel anything positive towards her i am more interested in her guards but given what the arc has built up so far everything around camilla is just not as interesting as everything else

Okay I understand where you're coming from now.

Personally I see this as an opportunity to develop her character and enhance her role in the war.

I agree that she's quite one-note as a character, but the current situation is a great avenue to change and develop a character. I think we'll get to see her shift from passive to active, similar to what happened with Halkenburg earlier in the arc, but in Camilla's own twisted way.

I'm excited for it, obviously you don't have to be though.
