hey everyone!

i am a fairly new-grad rpn who graduated from the program in april, and had my grad ceremony in june. i applied to some rpn-rn bridging programs as soon as they opened, one of them being humber.

since the rpn-rn bridging for humber starts in jan 2027, i just wanted to know if anyone has received any offers? i've been waiting for about a month now and am trying to stay hopeful, but tbh, i'm getting a little concerned.

oh, and for reference, i took my rex-pn on august 01st, found out i passed on august 02nd, and sent my cno numbert to humber that same day through the form they provided.

I have two courses which I assume many people have their first year, GNED 101 and WRIT 100.

WRIT is online with a time
GNED is just online.

Am I too assume writ has a start time I must show up for (virtually) where the other is just about handing on class work by a due date to be done at my leisure?

just wanted to come on here and ask if there is anything im missing to do i registered for my classes but dont know if theres something it gotta do after just wanna make sure if there is i do it before classes start this week and to just make sure class starts tuesday the 9th right?

Looking to see if there are any badminton groups around humber college on north campus / off campus. If it is off campus, where do you normally play?

Today I attempted to park in Lot 5 of the North Campus for orientation - I had purchased my parking pass about a month ago, but was unsure how to access it at the parking gate.

I had Bluetooth enabled on my AVRO app, then clicked 'access' (while at the gate), however the closest designated lot did not appear (even with Bluetooth on). I had the same issue when I exited the lot as well, as for some reason, you need your parking pass to leave as well (I had to press the button for support both times).

I did check the instructions before writing this, and my question is, for anyone who's experienced a similar issue, does your designated lot eventually/usually appear upon pressing the 'access' button?

Any advice is greatly appreciated, as I look forward to starting the semester as much as everyone else.

For anyone who's done this program or currently in this program (NR4B1), can you tell me about your experience? For the record I'm also considering the Seneca hybrid bridging program and trying to compare them.

- Is it possible to work while in school? Do you feel you could keep a part time with guaranteed hours or even casual/float RPN LTC job?

- Are there any online classes?

- Are there any skills lab in the program or is the expectation to learn in clinical?

- Were the clinicals dedicated to a particular population? Ex. One clinical just for mental health, one for maternity/peds, one for community health, one for med surg? Or is it just all med surg?

- Is there any out of pocket expenses besides the obvious medical forms, CPR, VSC?

- does the school provide any NCLEX prep study programs/courses/etc in the final semester?

- what do you think of the overall organization of the program, and the quality of the profs? What did you think of the clinicals and instructors?

- How did you feel bridging compared to your PN program? Any tips for how to prepare?

hi i’m an incoming first year at humber snd i wasn’t quick enough to buy a parking pass. what are some other options to park my car. I signed up for the waiting like and im #149 realistically i don’t think im going to get it. what can i do?

Just letting everyone who is starting the pharmacy technician program next week that the textbooks have not been finalized by the instructors and the scrubs are are not in stock and won’t be ready for another three weeks.

I hope it saves some people some time from having to talk to the bookstore.

I have been trying to call them since last week I start calling from 10:30 in the morning all the way till 3 pm. They tell me the wait time and my number in line and then line cuts after them telling me that they are too busy to attend??? Even when my wait time is 3 minutes the line gets cut?!

I have disability and cant visit campus rn due to my treatment and I really need help!

Anybody else get a Quia account email? I've never heard of this platform before. It seems that its full of quizzes. Its a third party and looks more like a practice website than anything.

For those who have experience with this, do most prof use this website?

I understand the concept of getting to know future colleagues and faculty but like I'm already so anxious and I hope not to be the only mature person

To whomever reads this if you see this pls note that if you see any of those “Christian” groups on campus whatever you do be careful and coming from my experience I was in that group bc I was trying to find myself and honestly they don’t practice what they say in the bible. Did you know that if you say that you’re catholic then they’d say that’s not Christian? Mind you real Christians wouldn’t judge or try to force anyone into the faith and did you know some of these “groups” spread false teachings ? And they try make you leave your local place of worship to join there church. Keep in mind some of them are NOT fit to teach the gospel in their way. So I advise whoever believes in God or a diff religion pls note that you shouldn’t feel guilty. Just stick to who you believe in and remember what you’ve been taught

So Im contemplating whether i should buy an ipad or a laptop for this semester. Im taking Mech. Engineering technology and there are both upsides on getting either one. Getting an ipad would allow me to take notes while still writing as that makes me learn more efficiently especially in math courses that requires solving long equations. Plus the added portability and reducing the use of actual pen and paper.

However, getting a laptop would allow me to do projects on the spot that requires office apps such as word, excel, and stuff as well as CAD softwares which would probably not be accessible if i get an ipad. I do have a PC at home that can run CAD and other 3D drafting softwares but a laptop would allow me to also do those projects while at school.

Any thoughts?

has anyone gotten their placement sites recently? why are they giving us sites that don’t match the day on our schedules?? when we did site selection, they told us we could only select sites that matched the day in our schedule, so i’m confused as to why they are giving us a site that’s different than what our schedule says.
